This paper is to aimed to design a model of Korea defense information resource management structure from the viewpoint of system's approach, especially focusing on planning/programming procedures, organizational structure and business process re-engineering. The author analyzed current projects and plans on the field of Korea defense information systems, for finding what kinds of problems and why the problems occurred. The author concluded that many problems came from wrong approach of previous information resource management. Highlights of the proposed model are as follows: 1) Planning and programming structure must be considered as a major information resources and it must be managed as a key role through the whole system life cycle; 2) Organizational structure should be properly set up for managing and implementing information system projects; 3) Business process should also be analyzed thoroughly for re-engineering and innovating current inefficient organizational structure. These three additional viewpoints added to previous model for improving Korea defense information resource management.

The expansion of demand associated with leisure, which has resulted from the elevated standard of living, has made the domestic tourist demand diversified. Recently, people, especially urban population, show the higher interest and need for environmentally friendly rural tourism. This study aims to grasp the utilization of recreation roles of tourist farms and then to evaluate the economic value for recreation roles of tourist farm using Traveling Cost Method. Data were collected from a survey in 2003. The results show that its value is 62,037 won per head annually and so the tourist farms play their role of connecting the urban population with rural amenity.

The main activities of container terminals are to load container freights to vessels, discharge them from vessels, and store them in the storage yard. Container terminals make many operational plans to execute these functions effectively. If the plans do not consider enough the loads of related resources, they may have low actualities. This study discusses the optimal yard planning model which considers various resources, such as the storage yard, yard cranes, internal vehicles, and travel lanes, in container terminals. The model determines the groups and amounts of containers which are stored in each storage block by using the resource profile. The yard planning problem is represented to the multi-commodity minimal cost flow problem and is formulated to the linear programming model. In order to explain the application of the mathematical model, the numerical examples are presented. Additionally, the relationship between the average load ratio and the relocation ratio is discussed.

This paper reports on a contingency framework for selecting the most appropriate strategy to implement the enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) system in an organization. The two dimensions of our framework are information technology level and culture level of organization. For each of the four contingencies, we recommend a desirable implementation strategy, based on scope and pace of the implementation effort. ERP implementation data from ten organizations were analyzed to validate the proposed framework.

Korea Power Exchange has successfully performed the Long-term Electricity Demand Forecasting. Recently there is a lot of change in electricity industry sector; the national master-plan for green gas emission reducing, rise of smart-grid, and new trend of electricity consumption, and it is becoming painful challenging for demand forecasting. In new circumstance the demand forecasting is required more flexible and more accurate.

기업의 정보가 방대해지고 이러한 정보에 대한 효율적이 관리의 필요성에 의해 현재 제조업, 유통서비스업, 금융업등 일반기업은 물론 공공기관에서도 ERP의 도입은 경영에 있어서 피할 수 없는 꼭 필요한 것이 되어지고 있다. 하지만, 소규모 중소기업은 초기도입비용, 업무 프로세스의 재설계에 따른 업무 부담, 전산능력 보유자의 미비등의 문제로 ERP 도입의 필요성은 인식 하지만, 도입은 결정을 쉽게 내리지 못하고 있는 상황이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 소규모 중소기업의 ERP 보급확산을 위한 SERP(Small Enterprise Resource Planning)를 제안한다.

본 논문에서는 영어 학원을 대상으로 ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) 시스템을 적용, 웹(Web)상에서 학원교사와 관리자가 학생 개개인의 프로필, 성적, 출결, 상담 등의 학생관리 업무와 학원비 관련 회계를 동시에 처리 및 관리해 주는 웹 어플리케이션이다. 기존의 사용하기 복잡한 학원관리프로그램을 지양하며, 웹 사이트와 같은 메뉴와 페이지 단위 구성으로 누구에게나 친숙한 UI(User Interface)를 제공한다.

This paper presents the operational planning systems of automated container terminals. The proposed system is composed of berth allocation module, yard planning module, resource allocation module, sequencing module, and simulation module. All the sub-modules except resource allocation module are built into integrated simulation model using simulation package AutoMod. Simulation experiments are performed according to the number of AGVs and AGV allocation policies.

Cooperative program planning and teaching is a strategy for developing and implementing resource based learning. This approach combines the classroom teacher's subject expertise and knowledge of the students with the teacher­librarian's specialized knowledge of the availability and use of learning materials. And the purpose of cooperative program planning is to develop learning experiences or units of study that effectively integrate the student's resource center activities with other learning experiences. There are also some conditions that are conducive to effective planning sessions. First, the teacher-librarian must be prepared to initiate planning with teachers, rather than waiting for teachers to come to them. Second, the teacher-librarian must be prepared to present suggestions in such a way that the teacher can respond. The purpose of this study is (1) to investigate the planning process of cooperative program planning and teaching in the previous studies and (2) to find general problems when the cooperative program planning and teaching apply in actual situation. For these purposes, I chose a school library and a teacher-librarian in Seoul to observe how this cooperative program planning and teaching carry out in the school library. Main findings are summarized as follows: (1) A teacher who teaches alone for one grade is more proper to carry out the cooperative program planning and teaching. Young teachers are usually more active to change their teaching methods. (2) The cooperative program planning and teaching is a program what needs a lot of materials. When there is no right reference book in a school library, it would be good to access DB through PC telecommunication. It is also possile to contact lirarians who work in large public libraries or university libraries. (3) The cooerative program planning and teaching needs cooperative working between a teacher-librarian and a teacher. Thus a teacher-librarian should be in his school in the day time like the other teachers for the program's planning process. ( 4) There has to be a guide to change into resource based learning in teaching method. Thus the Korean Library Association or Korean Library and Information Science Society should offer a seminar or a workshop about cooperative program planning and teaching for the teacher-librarians. (5) It needs a system that a teacher-librarian can know about student's assignments so that he can prepare reference books for them. (6) The school library can be able to offer excellent service like cooperative program planning and teaching to the teachers and students according to a teacher-librarian's enthusiasm.
