저항 다점용접부의 역학적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Mechanical Characteristics of the Resistance Multi-spot Welded Joints)

  • In order to classify the mechanical phenomena of thermal elasto-plastic behavior on the multi-spot welded joints, this study has tried to carry out three-dimensional thermal elasto-plastic analysis on them. However, because the shape of multi-spot welded joints is not taxi-symmetric, unlike the cafe of single-spot welded joint, the solution domain for simulation should be three dimension. Therefore, in this paper, firstly, the three-dimensional thermal elasto-plastic program is developed by an iso-parametric finite element method. Secondly, from the results analyzed by developed program, this has clarified mechanical characteristics and their production mechanism on single and multi-spot waled joints. Moreover, it has been intended to make clear effects of pitch length on welding residual stresses, plastic strain of multi-spot welded joints.

  • For clarifying the mechanical phenomena of thermal elasto-plastic behavior on the multi-spot welded joints, this study has tried to carry out three-dimensional thermal elasto-plastic analysis on them. However, because the shape of multi-spot welded joints is not axi-symmetric, unlike the case of single-spot welded joint, the solution domain for simulation should be three-dimensional. Therefore, in this paper, from the results analyzed using the developed the three dimensional unstationary heat conduction and thermal elasto-plastic programs by an iso-parametric finite element method, mechanical characteristics and their production mechanism on single- and multispot welded joints were clarified. Moreover, effects of pitch length on temperature, welding residual stresses and plastic strain of multi-spot welded joints were evaluated, indicating that a pitch of 30mm was advantageous compared to a pitch of 15mm.

  • Since stainless steel sheets have good mechanical properties, weldability, appearance and corrosion resistance, they are commonly used as one of the structural materials of the railroad cars or the commercial vehicles which are manufactured by the spat welding. Among the many kinds of spot welded lap joints, it can be found that multi-lap joints are employed in their body structure. But, fatigue strength of these joints is lower than that of base metal due to high stress concentration at the nugget edge of spot weld and is considerably influenced by welding conditions as well as the mechanical and geometrical factors. Thus, it is necessary to establish a reasonable and systematic design criterion for the long life design of the spot-welded body structures. In this paper, the stress distribution and deformation around the spot-welded multi-lap joints subjected to tensile shear load was numerically analyzed. Also, the $\Delta$P-Nf curve was obtained by fatigue tests. Using these results, $\Delta$P-Nf curves were rearranged in to the ${\Delta}{\sigma}$-Nf relation with the maximum stress at nugget edge of spot weld.

S20C 리벳된 Al5052와 SPFC980Y 강철 resistance-element 점용접 접합부의 미세조직 발달 및 고강도-부식 저항 특성 (Corrosion-Resistant High Strength S20C Element Riveted Al5052-SPFC980Y Steel Joints by Resistance Element Spot Welding)

  • 이 연구는 electric resistance element spot welding 프로세스를 도입하여 알루미늄 합금-강철의 이종 접합부의 기계적 강도 및 내식성을 향상시키기 위해 수행되었다. SPFC980Y 강철과 Al5052-H32가 각각 모재로써 적용되었고, S20C 강철은 리벳 element로써 음각과 양각의 형상으로 구분되며, Al5052-H32에 전기 저항 스폿 용접을 위해 리벳팅 되어 6.5 kA의 전류와 250 kgf/㎠의 가압력으로 접합되었다. 그 결과, 음각된 S20C element는 스폿 용접 공정 후 불안정한 너깃이 형성되는 반면, 양각된 S20C의 경우, 구조적으로 건전한 접합부로 건전한 내식성 및 탁월한 기계적 특성이 얻어졌다. FEM 시뮬레이션의 도입으로, 음각과 양각의 계면의 접합 특성이 수치적으로 밝혀졌으며, 시뮬레이션 결과는 미세조직 발달 양상을 수치적으로 뒷받침하였다. 이 연구는 element 스폿 용접된 H32-A5052 이종 접합부의 기계적 강도 및 부식 신뢰성에 대해 체계적으로 분석되었으며, 이 공정은 금속재료뿐만 아니라, 경량 비전도성 비철/비금속계 재료에도 적용 될 수 있기 때문에, 차세대 차체 경량화의 양산 기술로 확장 될 수 있다.
