  • This paper relates with the eualization performance of Adaptive Varying-MMA (AV-MMA) in order to the minimization of intersymbol interference that is occurs in the nonlinear communication channel. In order to obtain the error signal in the tap coefficient updating process of adaptive equalization algorithm, the present MMA uses the constant modulus. But in AV-MMA, the adaptively varying modulus are used according to the equalizer output, it is possible to reduce the error signal and possbile to improving the overall equalization performance. In order to improved equalization performance of the AV-MMA in the 64-QAM signal, the present MMA performance were compared. For this, the output signal constellation of equalizer, residual isi, maximum distortion, MSE and SER curves are applied. As a result of computer simulation, the AV-MMA has more better performance in the every performance index than MMA, and the SER performance shows that it has more robustness in high SNR environmnet compared to MMA.

  • This paper compare the performance of CCA (Compact Constellation Algorithm) adaptive equalization algorithm by effect of the compact slice weighting value for minimization of the intersymbol interference in the communication channel. The CCA combines the conventional DDA and RCA algorithm, it uses the constant modulus of the transmission signal and the considering the output of decision device by the power of compact slice weighting value in order to improving the initial convergence characteristics and the equalization noise by misadjustment in the steady state. In this process, it is confirmed by computer simulation that the compact slice weight affects the performance of CCA adaptive equalization algorithm. The performance index includes the output signal constellation, the residual isi and maximum distortion and MSE that is for the convergence characteristics, the SER according to the signal and noise power ratio at the channel is used. As a result of computer, it shows that the large weighting value gives more good in every performance index. But in SER performance, it is known that the small values gives more good in low SNR and the large values gives more good in high SNR.

  • This paper proposes the Hybrid-CRMMA adaptive equalization algorithm that is possible to improves the performance of CR-MMA based on adaptive modulus and adaptive stepsize. The 16-QAM nonconstant modulus signal is reduced to 4-QAM constant modulus signal, and the error signal were obtained based on the fixed statistic modulus of transmitted signal. It is possible to improving the currently MMA adaptive equalization performance. The proposed Hybrid-CRMMA composed of adaptive modulus which is propotional to the power of equalizer output and adaptive stepsize which is function of the nonlinearties of error signal, and its improved equalization performance were confirmed by computer simulation. For this purpose, the output signal constellation, the residual isi and maximum distortion and MSE that is for the convergence characteristics, the SER that is meaning the robustness of external noise of algorithm were used. As a result of computer simulation, it was confirmed that the proposed Hybrid-CRMMA has more superior performance in every index compared to currently CR-MMA.

  • This paper propose the VSS-FC-MMA algorithm that is possible to improve the equalization performance based on varying step size to the FC-MMA adaptive equalization algorithm in order to reducing the intersymbol interference effect occurred in the nonconstant modulus signal transmission, and improved performance were confirmed. The FC-MMA is possible to improve the convergence speed, and degrades the steady state performance based on the fixed step size and modified dispersion constant considering the level number of signal symbol for obtain the error signal in adaptive equalization compared to MMA. The proposed VSS-FC-MMA uses varying step size and current FC-MMA possible to improve the steady state equalization performance, it was confirmed by computer simulation. For this, the signal recovery capabilities and residual isi, MSE, SER were applied for performance comparison index in the same channel and signal to noise ratio. As a result of computer simulation, the proposed VSS-FC-MMA improve the risidual value in steady state and SER performance than the FC-MMA, but has 1.7 times slow convergence time by using varying step size.

  • Based on their shift and scale orthogonality properties, scaling and wavelet functions may be used as signaling functions having good frequency localization as determined by the fractional-out-of-band power (FOOBP). In this paper, application of Daubechies' wavelet and scaling functions as baseband signaling functions is described, with a focus on finding discretely realizable pulse-shaping transfer function circuits whose outputs approximate scaling and wavelet functions when driven by more conventional digital signaling waveforms. It is also shown that the inter-symbol interference (ISI) introduced by the approximation has negligible effect on the performance in terms of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Moreover, the approximations are often more bandwidth efficient than the original wavelet functions. These waveforms thus illustrate an example solution of a tradeoff between residual ISI and bandwidth efficiency as a signal design problem.

  • MMA(Multi-Modulus Algorithm) is inferior at a initial equalization in high ISI(intersymbol interference), because it is the inaccurate decision. To improve this probel SMMA(Sliced Multi-Modulus Algorithm) is based on using the MCMA(Modified Constant Modulus Algorithm). SMMA is a improved capability than MMA in high SNR but is inaccurate decision in low SNR. In this paper, We propose some multi-modulus blind equalization algorithm scheme. It is a method of operation in some multi-modulus algorithm which does no obstruct a convergence property at the initial equalization in the low SNR. Proposed algorithm improves the steady-state performance. And it uses residual ISI of the equalizer output in order to decide the optimum switching time between the single modulus and the multi-modulus algorithm.

  • 본 논문에서는 MCMA(modified constant modulus algorithm) 블라인드 등화 알고리듬을 고속 데이터 통신에 적합한 FSE(fractionally spaced equalize.)

  • In this paper, we propose a SMMA(Sliced-Multi Modulus Algorithm) adaptive blind equalization algorithm with Flag for high order QAM system. SMMA has improved characteristics by applying the multi contour to MMA. However, SMMA still has a limit that the mismatch problem causes the residual error in the steady state is large. In order to significantly reduce the residual error in the steady state, we propose SMMA, which is controlled by the binary Flag of '1 'or '0' obtained from SMMA and a decision-directed algorithm, and analyze the performance of the proposed algorithm. By computer simulation, it is confirmed that the proposed algorithm has improved performance highly in terms of a residual ISI and a residual error in the steady state compared with MMA and SMMA.
