In this paper, a test bed for real-time network Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) research was constructed using reference stations of the NGII. A group of candidate station networks was derived, including three stations in Seoul. The group consisted of four stations with a distance of less than 100 km between them. Among several candidates, a network composed of stations with short distances between them and demonstrating good data quality for all reference stations was selected as the test bed. After collecting real-time data in Radio Technical Committee for Maritime services (RTCM) format from the selected stations and conducting a noise analysis on measurements, mm-level carrier phase measurement noise was confirmed. Afterwards, the user set the reference station inside the test bed and analyzed the network RTK positioning performance of the MAC method using the GPS L1 frequency as post-processing. From the result of the analysis it was confirmed that the residual error for all users was within 10 cm after applying the correction. Additionally, after determining integer ambiguities through Least-squares AMBiguity Decorrelation Adjustment (LAMBDA), it was confirmed that the fix rate was 100%, and all ambiguities were resolved as true values.
Additive Manufacturing (AM) is a process that fabricates products by manufacturing materials according to a three-dimensional model. It has recently gained attention due to its environmental advantages, including reduced energy consumption and high material utilization rates. However, controlling defects such as melting issues and residual stress, which can occur during metal additive manufacturing, poses a challenge. The trial-and-error verification of these defects is both time-consuming and costly. Consequently, efforts have been made to develop phenomenological models that understand the influence of process variables on defects, and mechanical/ electrical/thermal properties of geometrically complex products. This paper introduces modeling techniques that can simulate the powder additive manufacturing process. The focus is on representative metal additive manufacturing processes such as Powder Bed Fusion (PBF), Direct Energy Deposition (DED), and Binder Jetting (BJ) method. To calculate thermal-stress history and the resulting deformations, modeling techniques based on Finite Element Method (FEM) are generally utilized. For simulating the movements and packing behavior of powders during powder classification, modeling techniques based on Discrete Element Method (DEM) are employed. Additionally, to simulate sintering and microstructural changes, techniques such as Monte Carlo (MC), Molecular Dynamics (MD), and Phase Field Modeling (PFM) are predominantly used.

This paper deals with the performance comparison of blind adaptive equalization algorithm, the MMA and S-MMA, that is used for compensation of the amplitude and phase distortion simultaneously which occurs in the time dispersive channel. The present CMA algorithm is possible to compensates the amplitude only, but not in phase, so it needs to the another additional circuit for compensating the phase. In order to overcoming the abovemensioned shorthand, the improved cost function is applied to the MMA algorithm. In MMA algorithm, the error is consists of the dispersion constant only, but in S-MMA, the error is consists of the dispersion constant considering the output of decision device (sliced symbol) in order to updating the tap coefficients. By using the two kind error signal, the adaptive equalization algorithm has different performance. In this paper, we compare to the adaptive equalization algorithm performance by using the recovered constellation, residual isi, MD (Maximum Distortion) and SER as a index when the transmitting signal is 16 and 64-QAM and then passing through the same communication channel. As a result of simulation, the S-MMA can improving the Roburstness in SER performance compared to the MMA in the high order QAM signal.
In this paper, we deal with the wavefront compensation capability of a silicon carbide (SiC) deformable mirror (DM) with 37 actuators for adaptive optics. The wavefront compensation capability of the SiC DM is predicted by computer simulation and examined by actual experiments with a closed-loop adaptive optics system consistsing of a light source, a phase plate, a SiC DM, a high speed Shack-Hartmann sensor, and a control computer. Distortion of wavefront is caused by the phase plate in the closed-loop adaptive optics system. The distorted wavefront has a peak-to-valley (PV) wavefront error of $0.3{\mu}m{\sim}0.9{\mu}m$ and root-mean-square (RMS) error of $0.06{\mu}m{\sim}0.25{\mu}m$. The high-speed Shack-Hartmann sensor measures the wavefront error of the distortion caused by the phase plate, and the SiC DM compensates for the distorted wavefront. The compensated wavefront has residual errors lower than $0.1{\mu}m$ PV and $0.03{\mu}m$ RMS. Consequently, we conclude that we can compensate for the distorted wavefront using the SiC DM in the closed-loop adaptive optics system with an operating frequency speed of 500 Hz.
In 2-pass differential SAR interferometry(DInSAR), the topographic phase signature can be removed by using a digital elevation model(DEM) to isolate the contribution of deformation from interferometric phase. This method has an advantage of no unwrapping process, but applicability is limited by precision of the DEM used. The residual phase in 2-pass differential interferogram accounts for error of DEM used in the processing provided that no actual deformation exits. The objective of this paper is a preliminary study to improve DEM precision using low precision DEM and 2-pass DInSAR technique, and we applied the 2-pass DInSAR technique to Asan area. ERS-1/2 tandem complex images and DTED level 0 DEM were used for DInSAR, and the precision of resulting DEM was estimated by a 1:25,000 digital map. The input DEM can be improved by simply adding the DInSAR output to the original low precision DEM. The absolute altitude error of the improved DEM is 9.7m, which is about the half to that of the original DTED level 0 data. And absolute altitude error of the improved DEM is better than that from InSAR technique, 15.8m. This approach has an advantage over the InSAR technique in efficiently reducing layover effects over steep slope region. This study demonstrates that 2-pass DInSAR can also be used to improve DEM precision.
Sulfur dioxide (SO2) in the atmosphere is mainly generated from anthropogenic emission sources. It forms ultra-fine particulate matter through chemical reaction and has harmful effect on both the environment and human health. In particular, ground-level SO2 concentrations are closely related to human activities. Satellite observations such as TROPOMI (TROPOspheric Monitoring Instrument)-derived column density data can provide spatially continuous monitoring of ground-level SO2 concentrations. This study aims to propose a 2-step residual corrected model to estimate ground-level SO2 concentrations through the synergistic use of satellite data and numerical model output. Random forest machine learning was adopted in the 2-step residual corrected model. The proposed model was evaluated through three cross-validations (i.e., random, spatial and temporal). The results showed that the model produced slopes of 1.14-1.25, R values of 0.55-0.65, and relative root-mean-square-error of 58-63%, which were improved by 10% for slopes and 3% for R and rRMSE when compared to the model without residual correction. The model performance by country was slightly reduced in Japan, often resulting in overestimation, where the sample size was small, and the concentration level was relatively low. The spatial and temporal distributions of SO2 produced by the model agreed with those of the in-situ measurements, especially over Yangtze River Delta in China and Seoul Metropolitan Area in South Korea, which are highly dependent on the characteristics of anthropogenic emission sources. The model proposed in this study can be used for long-term monitoring of ground-level SO2 concentrations on both the spatial and temporal domains.

This paper deals with the performance anlysis of CCA adaptive equalization algorithm, that is used for reduction of intersymbol interference at the receiving side which occurs in the time dispersive communication channel. Basically, this algorithm is borned for the solving phase unrecovery problem in the CMA equalizer, and the comines the concept of DDA (Decision Directed Algorithm) and RCA (Reduce Constellation Algorithm). The DDA has a stable convergence characteristics in unilevel signal, but not in the number of levels in multilevel signal such as QAM, so it has unstable problem. The RCA does not provide reliable initial convergence. And even after convergence, the equalization noise due to the steady state misadjustment exhibited by it is very high as compared to DDA. For the solving the abovemensioned point, the CCA adaptive eualization alogorithm has borned. In order to performance analysis of CCA algorithm, the recovered signal constellation that is the output of the equalizer, the convergence characteristic by the residual isi and MD (maximum distortion), the SER characteristic are used by computer simulation and it was compared with the DDA, RCA respectively. As a result of simulation, the DDA has superior performance than other algoithm, but it has a convergence unguarantee and unstability in the multilevel signal. In order to solving this problem, the CCA has more good performance than RCA in every performance index.

The remote sensing technique was applied to enhance the water qualify model validation in a large water body. Since the satellite image usually covers the wide surface area of a large water body, it can compensate for the lark of measured data points required for model calibration and verification. This paper describes the analysis of Landsat FTM+images collected on April 29th and September 4th in year 2000 to evaluate surface water temperature of Lake Paldang. The water temperature data obtained from the satellite image were compared with model results by estimating three different methods of error criteria. The residual ratios on April 29th and September 4th were 0.13 and 0.04 respectively. This showed that the model result accords with the data obtained from the process of satellite image. Without considering atmospheric interference, however, transformation process of satellite image causes relatively large residual ratio in the surface water temperature distribution pattern on April 29th. In the future study, therefore, the atmospheric properties of image acquisition point needs to be considered for the application of radiance transformation model.
The determination of feasible design flood is the most important to control flood damage in river management. Concentration time and storage constant in the Clark unit hydrograph method mainly affects magnitude of peak flood and shape of hydrograph. Model parameters should be calibrated using observed discharge but due to deficiency of observed data the parameters have been adopted by empirical formula. This study is to suggest concentration time and storage constant based on the observed rainfall-runoff data at GongDo stage station in the Ansung river basin. To do this, five criteria have been suggested to compute root mean square error(RMSE) and residual of oserved value and computed one. Once concentration time and storage constant have been determined from three rainfall-runoff event selected at the station, the five criteria based on observed hydrograph and computed hydrograph by the Clark model have been computed to determine the value of concentration time and storage constant. A criteria has been proposed to determine concentration time and storage constant based on the results of the observed hydrograph and the Clark model. It has also been shown that an exponent value of concentration time-cumulative area curve should be determined based on the shape of watershed.

Objective: To develop a mixed dentition analysis method in consideration of the normal variation of tooth sizes. Methods: According to the tooth-size of the maxillary central incisor, maxillary 1st molar, mandibular central incisor, mandibular lateral incisor, and mandibular 1st molar, 307 normal occlusion subjects were clustered into the smaller and larger tooth-size groups. Multiple regression analyses were then performed to predict the sizes of the canine and premolars for the 2 groups and both genders separately. For a cross validation dataset, 504 malocclusion patients were assigned into the 2 groups. Then multiple regression equations were applied. Results: Our results show that the maximum errors of the predicted space for the canine, 1st and 2nd premolars were 0.71 and 0.82 mm residual standard deviation for the normal occlusion and malocclusion groups, respectively. For malocclusion patients, the prediction errors did not imply a statistically significant difference depending on the types of malocclusion nor the types of tooth-size groups. The frequency of prediction error more than 1 mm and 2 mm were 17.3% and 1.8%, respectively. The overall prediction accuracy was dramatically improved in this study compared to that of previous studies. Conclusions: The computer aided calculation method used in this study appeared to be more efficient.
