Based on the trend of architectural lighting of residential building, this study is to examine architectural lighting for residential buildings, and deduce the value and significance of architectural lighting by analyzing architectural lighting and characteristics of residential building through the analysis of works according to the types of works and by analyzing discourse relating to works of architectural lighting of residential building. First, architectural lighting for residential buildings can be categorized according to continuity and extensibility, lighting method and lighting factor. Second, architectural lighting of residential building has come into play since 2000 due to diversified activities at home. Third, architectural lighting had been introduced for living room and used in the form of structure or foundation up until early 2000s, but since mid 2000s, it has been used in intellectual and abstract form using various shapes, finishing material or objects. Fourth characteristic is a space of changing functions overcoming limited space, suggesting an alternative space, and using finishing material and object.

This study describes development process of residential architectural space in the Richard Meier's residential works through chronological analysis. By analyzing house layout, floor plan, elevation, materials and colors and light entering of his residential works, changes in his architectural space has been studied. Richard Meier's early work is designed as three-dimensional shape, and places emphasis on geometric form. However, recently completed residential works by Richard Meier focuses on the horizontal sun shading louvers, which has ability. In addition, teak and a special UV protective glass are used to control natural environment. Through this research, it was found that Richard Meier has maintained his architectural language in terms of the design layout of the house and planar with colors that appear on the initial project. Using light input methods and materials used for active development, it was found that many design elements were applied and developed.

The residential space of humans has continuously developed to the most suitable form considering the natural and social environment. Based on this, it has become a unique residential architectural culture of an area. In the architectural field, the space of residential structures is being categorized topological aspect and the quantitative indicators are being calculated to conduct an objective comparative analysis of the characteristics of space by regional groups and individual rooms. Hence, the purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of the spatial composition of Hanok which a modern residential structure connecting traditional residential architecture with modern residential architecture. Hanok generally had a similar spatial composition to that of the traditional Hanok. However, a minor change was spotted due to it being a modern Hanok. It was objectively determined through the environmental characteristics that this form of spatial composition is due to the influence of the Japanese colonial era as the Western lifestyle of inner space centered lifestyle was introduced in the same period that the Jeonju Hanok was mostly created. The sequence of topological spatial gene of Hanok in Jeonju Hanok Village appeared in the order of Toetmaru - Madang - Anbang - Geonneonbang - Meorit bang - Kitchen.

In order to shorten construction duration in high-rise project, construction company tried to make various system method toward simplifying construction method and shortening construction duration. Though high-rise tower-type residential project are growing, there are few case study. Then, the data for preliminary schedule planning in high-rise tower-type residential project are rare. This purpose of research shows construction method in structural work in high-rise tower-type residential project, suggests schedule planning in structural work through case studies. The structural work in high-rise tower-type residential project was divided 1) completion of form in lower part and 2) the typical floor under penthouse. The statistical analysis were done in two parts, the data from analysis were used in simulation. Finally, researcher confirmed the difference between real construction duration and the figure from simulation. The results shows that the more construction duration is long, the less ACS's cost is low. It means the effectiveness is increasing in ACS, if the floor number is high.

With its rapid modernization and the unparalleled rate at which its society is aging, South Korea faces the need for a dramatic increase in its supply of nursing homes. Among the spacial components of nursing homes, residential units are considered as an essential part because the older person in nursing homes usually spend most of their time in residential units and the nursing homes are mainly composed of various residential units. It is necessary, therefore, to prepare a guideline for the plan of residential units in order to design the healthy and efficient nursing homes. This paper has first identified the concept of residential unit and analyzed 55 cases in the 51 nursing homes from 4 countries. On the basis of this analysis, architectural prototypes of residential units have been proposed and the architectural characteristics of them have been compared analytically.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the introduction and practice method of "an architectural agreement" for renewal of urban residential districts. To solve this theme, this paper is intened to consider the formative procedure and sustainable development of an architectural zone by mutual agreement focused on Aneyakouji district in the center of Kyoto city. The results of this study were as follows ; an Aneyakouji district organized "a society recollecting Aneyakouji district", conflicting between the preservation of the traditional residential context and the construction of high-rise mansion, attracted so many town meetings and various events, and contracted an architectural zone by mutual agreement on 2002, 7. And so this architectural agreement zone had been sustainedly developed, it is based on deep-rooted relationships, opening of events and meetings, and partnership of residents companies administrators professionals. We will introduce "an architectural agreement" considering the former contents such as the case study of Aneyakouji district.

In a residential complex case, the efficiency of land use are maximized, but a variation of external condition such as load in-equality, the increase in wind velocity and solar radiation by a height causes increasing energy in a building. Besides, because of increasing window size for a lighting and a view, it comes heating load in winter and cooling load in summer. A choice of cooling-system is important for this reason. Recently an internal high-rise residential complex installs an air-cooling system and operates individual heating. However, this study applies water-cooling used one public cooling-tower instead of an air-cooling system, also with an efficiency test of an air and a water-cooling system, consider an internal applicability.

In modern society, rapid environmental changes are occurring due to the complex interaction of various factors. Starting in 2020, the social environment is changing rapidly due to the impact of the pandemic, and the social and economic living environment is changing significantly not only in Korea but also internationally. In this trend, behavioral and spatial changes are occurring in response to changes in the architectural living environment. To analyze changes in behavior and space from an architectural perspective in response to changes in the social environment, first organize the concept and aspects of the pandemic that caused the change, examine the theory of the pandemic, and examine architectural responses to changes in the social environment. There is a need to analyze. Therefore, in order to architecturally review changes in the social environment due to the pandemic, the purpose of this study is to analyze the living behavior and space of major highrise residential complexes in the living environment and present new spatial alternatives in response.

This study was to evaluate the walking speed of elderly people by using the travel route big data collected by travel diary and smart phone application. We analyzed the change of walking behavior in the residential street environments of the elderly whether they had a company or not. We interpreted the meaning based on previous studies. In addition, the characteristics of elderly people's use of the residential street environment were analyzed by comparing the change in spatial speed according to the companion. The result reveals that the usage patterns of the residential street environments change depending on whether they were accompanied or not. First, the elderly tend to do more social activities while walking alone than when they were accompanied. When they were accompanied the social activities occur in empty lot near the residential area. However, the social activities of the elderly occur in open space such as neighborhood park or playground while walking alone. Finally, This study has strength that it empirically analyzes the elderly's walking behavior and usage paths in small outdoor spaces, including residential streets.

This study aims to identify the key points of architectural planning for floating residential architecture. For this purpose, this study analyses 6 kinds of standards about floating architecture and 14 cases of floating residential architecture. As a result, this study finds out 4 points of architectural planning for floating residential architecture; first, planning of access to upland and walkway, second, public facilities and community space planning, third, planning of various equipment, material and fixed extinguishing system for fire prevention, forth, modular system planning including manufacturing, transporting and installation of modular house.
