  • Compact Advanced Satellite 500 (CAS500) can be used for various purposes, including vegetation, forestry, and agriculture fields. It is expected that it will be possible to acquire satellite images of various areas quickly. In order to use satellite images acquired through CAS500 in the agricultural field, it is necessary to develop a satellite image-based extraction technique for crop-cultivated areas. In particular, as research in the field of deep learning has become active in recent years, research on developing a deep learning model for extracting crop cultivation areas and generating training data is necessary. This manuscript classified the onion and garlic cultivation areas in Hapcheon-gun using PlanetScope satellite images and farm maps. In particular, for effective model learning, the model performance was analyzed according to the proportion of crop-cultivated areas. For the deep learning model used in the experiment, Fully Convolutional Densely Connected Convolutional Network (FC-DenseNet) was reconstructed to fit the purpose of crop cultivation area classification and utilized. As a result of the experiment, the ratio of crop cultivation areas in the training data affected the performance of the deep learning model.

  • This study aimed to figure out the effect of urbanization on meteorological variables (air temperature, wind speed, relative humidity, solar radiation and precipitation) and reference evapotranspiration (RET). The research area of 6 urban areas and 6 rural areas near each urban area was selected. The monthly average daily data were collected from 12 ground stations operated by Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) and the changes in climate variables were analyzed. Results of annual analysis have shown that the reference evapotranspiration (RET) tends to increase in urban areas while decreasing in rural areas. In particular, due to rising RET in urban areas and decreasing RET in rural areas, we can infer that the urbanization has affected to the RET. Results of monthly analysis showed that the urbanization has effects on the RET of July compared to other months (January, April and October). The yearly and monthly effects of urbanization on RET were closely related to solar radiation, relative humidity and change in temperature, and related to wind speed.

  • Currently G-SEED certification standards was in an effort to building energy-saving and carbon emissions reduction. In this study, focusing on school facilities to suggest an alternative improve green building certification standards through data analysis and conduct an expert Delphi survey. In this study, evaluation of the existing areas of green building certification 7-5 suggest that one out. There are five proposed areas of ecology, health, function, energy and resources. Further it can add areas of economics and $LCCO_2$. Through the assessment items of foreign certification standards evaluated to the feasibility of introducing in Korea. Furthermore taking into account the characteristics of each class, kindergarten, elementary, primary, middle and high schools, College or University were broken down by purpose.

  • To find what has an effect on eating habits of 5th year elementary school students, areas and food services are researched. This research is classified into general items, nutrition knowledge, and eating habits of the subjects. Nutrition knowledge is different in each area, scoring 7.09 out of 10. Food Service has an effect on eating habits, scoring 4.69 out of 10. This result shows that the role of parents greatly influences eating habits of elementary school students, not areas and food services, and that food service affects improvement of physical condition and prevention of unbalanced diet. Therefore, education at home and school is required.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest specific function of each areas and way to express reasonable interior elements within interior design of sports center in Korea. The method of this research is case study of sports center In various fields since 1980. During the study, it Is very clear that the most important points in designing of sports centers interior space to accomodate main body training areas and service area for the users. The other point is to explain within the space plan that there should be a clear understanding of general regulation for the installation element, function and behavioral facts. The social, cultural roles of sports center must have the function as a multi service facility. In summary this research is to present datas and suggestion to various areas in sports center and refine its new meaning of sports center space plan with much better designing.

  • Radiation data are the best source of information for estimating average incident radiation. Lacking this or data from nearby locations of similar climate, it is possible to use empirical relation ships to estimate radiation from days of cloudiness. It is necessary to estimate the regression coefficients in order to predict the daily global radiation on a horizontal surface. There fore many different equations have proposed to evaluate them for certain areas. In this work a new correlation has been made to predict the solar radiation for 16 different areas over Korea by estimating the regression coefficients taking into account cloud cover. Particularly, the straight line regression model proposed shows reliable results for estimating the global radiation on a horizontal surface with monthly average deviation of -0.26 to +0.53% and each station annual average deviation of -1.61 to +1.7% from measured values.

  • Since the solar radiation is the main input for sizing any solar photovoltaic system, it will be necessary to understand and evaluate the solar radiation data. The works presented here is the analysis of solar radiation data for East-North Asia areas. The data utilized in the analysis consist of the global radiation on horizontal surface, measured at 2 different stations during 3 years for the period from 2002 to 2004 and estimated using satellite at 27 different stations over the China and Mongolia. Also the measured data has been collected at 16 different stations all of the South Korea and estimated using satellite at 12 different stations over the North Korea from 1982 to 2005. The Result of analysis shows that the annual-average daily global radiation on the horizontal surface is 3.57 $MJ/m^2$. We conclude, based on the analysis, that East-North Asia areas have sufficient solar energy resources for the photovoltaic power generation system.

  • This research is primarily intended to propose a new concept for aggregate control of impervious coverage using remote sensing and GIS. An empirical study for a case study site was conducted to demonstrate how a standard remote sensing and GIS technology can be used to assist in implementing the aggregate control for impervious coverage as intermediary between decision makers and scientists. Guidelines for a replicable methodology are presented to provide a strong theoretical basis for the standardization of factors involved in the aggregate control; the meaningful definition of land mosaic in terms of pervious areas, classification of pervious intensity, change detection for pervious areas. Detailed visual maps (e.g. estimation of impervious surface allowable) can be generated over large areas quickly and easily to increase the scientific and objective decision-making for the aggregate control. It is anticipated that this research output could be used as a valuable reference to confirm the potential of remote sensing and GIS in the aggregate control for impervious coverage.

  • It is necessary to estimate empirical constants in order to predict the monthly mean daily global radiation on a horizontal surface in the developing areas for alternative energy. Therefore many different equations have proposed to evaluate them for certain areas. In this work a new correlation has been made to predict the solar radiation for any areas over Korea by calculating the regression models taking into account latitude, percentage of possible sunshine, and cloud cover. Results clearly demonstrates the reliability of the single linear equation for the estimation of global radiation, which is proposed by using percentage of possible sunshine method. When compared with the measured values, the average annual deviation falls between -3.1 to +0.6%.
