전통 문화상품에 나타난 문양 분석 - 서울 지역과 광주 지역을 중심으로 - (Analysis of the Motifs on Traditional Cultural Goods in Seoul and Kwang-Ju)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare the characteristics of the motifs on cultural goods in In-Sa-Dong Street, Seoul, with those in Art Street, City Hall, Kwang-ju. For this study, 607 cultural goods were collected from the two cities: 265 in Seoul and 342 in Kwang-ju. Total cultural goods were classified by accessories, decoration pieces, stationery and ceramics and were studied by repetition patterns, motifs types, representative techniques, and representative types. The results were as follows. First, for repetition patterns of motifs, there were 219 simple repetition patterns in Seoul, and 289 in Kwang-ju, and 46 compound repetition patterns in Seoul, and 53 in Kwang-ju. The ratio of simple repetition pattern was higher than that of compound repetition pattern in both cities. Second, for motif types, floral, animal, letter, and graphic motifs were used far more frequently than any other motif types. Third, for representative techniques, embroidery was far more frequently used than any other representative techniques. Metallic crafts, chil-bo and paper techniques were also favored. Fourth, for representative types, realistic types were more common than abstract types.

주문헝제품의 생산을 위한 집합화 알고리즘의 개발 (Grouping Algorithm for Custom-tailored Products)

  • Custom-tailored products always vary their sizes and shapes to satisfy the customers' tastes and requirements but they have to be fabricated as fast as possible when ordered. One way to solve this problem is to prepare several representative products in advance and each custom-tailored product is generated by machining the closest representative product. To realize this approach, it would be necessary to be able to group the products into several groups each of which has a representative product. Once the similar products are identified to be grouped, the representative shape can be generated such that all the products in the group can be made by machining the representative product. The custom-tailored products considered in this work have similar shapes but different sizes. Since these products have free surfaces, that are hard to be compared, their convex hulls are used for the grouping. Among all the products to be grouped, one product is chosen as a base shape. The shape and overall similarity values between the base shape and the remaining shapes are calculated as their convex hulls are rotated virtually. By calculating these similarity values at each rotation, the optimal alignment of the reference shape with respect to the base shape is determined. Overall similarity value at this optimal alignment is used as a measure for grouping. A prototype system based on the proposed methodology has been implemented and used to group the shoe-lasts for custom-tailored shoes.

Determination of representative volume element in concrete under tensile deformation

  • The 2D representative volume element (RVE) for softening quasi-brittle materials like concrete is determined. Two alternative methods are presented to determine a size of RVE in concrete subjected to uniaxial tension by taking into account strain localization. Concrete is described as a heterogeneous three-phase material composed of aggregate, cement matrix and bond. The plane strain FE calculations of strain localization at meso-scale are carried out with an isotropic damage model with non-local softening.

  • In this work, we propose a new method of extracting and weighting representative keywords(RKs) from a few documents that might interest a user. In order to extract RKs, we first extract candidate terms and then choose a number of terms called initial representative keywords (IRKS) from them through fuzzy inference. Then, by expanding and reweighting IRKS using term co-occurrence similarity, the final RKs are obtained. Performance of our approach is heavily influenced by effectiveness of selection method of IRKS so that we choose fuzzy inference because it is more effective in handling the uncertainty inherent in selecting representative keywords of documents. The problem addressed in this paper can be viewed as the one of calculating center of document vectors. So, to show the usefulness of our approach, we compare with two famous methods - Rocchio and Widrow-Hoff - on a number of documents collections. The results show that our approach outperforms the other approaches.

  • This paper computes the regional, seasonal and hourly representative model of load power factor considering load characteristics of all 154/22.9 kV substations. An accurately computed representative model of load power factor is studied to present a precision improvement of power system analysis and the security of the system. The method to compute representative model of load utilizes the method of applicable moving average based on the method of flow average. The EMS data are used as the source to assess the load power factor.

  • 본 논문에서는 우선 $X^2$ 히스토그램과 컬러 히스토그램을 합성한 방법과 정규화를 통하여 프레임 간 차이값을 계산한다. 다음으로 거리에 대한 클러스터링과 k-mean 군집화를 이용하여 클러스터의 대표 프레임을 결정한다. 마지막으로 우도비를 이용하여 그룹의 대표 프레임을 결정한다. 제안한 방법은 차이값 계산, 클리스터링과 군집화, 대표 프레임 추출의 3단계 과정을 수행하므로 다른 방법보다 검출이 뛰어나다는 것을 실험을 통해 알 수 있다.

Shot Group and Representative Shot Frame Detection using Similarity-based Clustering

  • This paper introduces a method for video shot group detection needed for efficient management and summary of video. The proposed method detects shots based on low-level visual properties and performs temporal and spatial clustering based on visual similarity of neighboring shots. Shot groups created from temporal clustering are further clustered into small groups with respect to visual similarity. A set of representative shot frames are selected from each cluster of the smaller groups representing a scene. Shots excluded from temporal clustering are also clustered into groups from which representative shot frames are selected. A number of video clips are collected and applied to the method for accuracy of shot group detection. We achieved 91% of accuracy of the method for shot group detection. The number of representative shot frames is reduced to 1/3 of the total shot frames. The experiment also shows the inverse relationship between accuracy and compression rate.

도시 대표경관의 인지요인에 관한 탐색적 연구 - 서울시를 중심으로 - (An Exploratory Research on Cognitive Factors of Urban Representative Landscape - Focused on Seoul -)

  • 도시이미지 안에서 대표경관들은 그 도시를 상징하며 사람들에게 그 도시의 도시다움을 느끼게 해주는 도시정체성의 중요한 기간자원 역할을 하고 있다. 본 연구는 도시의 대표경관들이 어떠한 지각-인지의 조건들로 인해 대표성을 획득하게 되는지를 밝혀 보고자 하였다. 먼저 서울시를 중심으로 도시 대표경관과 관련된 기존 연구들을 종합하여 대표경관들을 도출하고, 그들 각각의 인지요인들을 설문을 통해 조사하여 유형별 요인별로 다각적 비교분석을 하였고, 그 결과를 향후 대표경관 계획 및 관리방안의 시사점으로 제시하였다. 연구의 기본방향은 특히 가시적 요인, 심미적 요인, 활동적 요인, 문화적 요인을 중심으로 진행되었다. 주목할 만한 사실은 다면적 요인의 분석에 의한 본 연구의 결과는 기존 연구에서의 대표경관의 인지 순위와는 큰 차이를 나타내고 있다는 것이고, 이에는 시민들의 문화적 요인에 대한 인식의 비중이 높아진 것이 원인으로 해석된다. 이러한 연구결과는 아직 기초적 연구결과이기는 하지만 후속 연구의 보완을 통해 향후 대표경관 계획과 관리의 새로운 관점을 제시할 수 있으리라 기대된다.

한국 청소년의 대표 인체치수 및 3D 인체형상자료에 관한 연구 (Studies on Representative Body Sizes and 3D Body Scan Data of Korean Adolescents)

  • 3D 인체형상자료는 인체 적합성이 우수한 제품과 생활공간을 만들기 위해 다양한 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 본 연구는 한국인 인체치수조사 보급사업에서 2013년에 수집한 청소년층 3차원 측정 자료를 기반으로 한국 청소년의 대표 인체치수를 산출하고 대표 인체치수와 가까운 3D 인체형상자료를 선별하는 방법을 제공한다. 먼저 여러 측정항목으로 이루어진 다차원 벡터공간을 요인분석을 통해 둘레성분과 길이성분의 2차원 벡터공간으로 투영하였다. 다음으로 2차원 성분공간에서 마할라노비스 거리를 이용하여 대표 인체치수와 이에 가까운 3D 인체형상자료를 선별하였다. 2차원 성분공간에 나타난 청소년기의 성장패턴을 고려하여 남자는 4개의 연령그룹으로 여자는 3개의 연령그룹으로 구분하였다. 성분점수 계수행렬의 열벡터에 대응하는 고유형상을 이용하여 남자는 13개 측정항목, 여자는 14개 측정항목에 대한 대표 인체치수를 연령그룹별로 계산하였다. 여기서 구한 대표 인체치수와 3D 인체형상자료는 3차원 대표 형상을 만드는 데에 매우 유용하다.
