비동기 양상태 소나 시스템을 위한 직접파 탐지 기법 (Direct blast detection algorithm for asynchronous bistatic sonar systems)

  • 단상태 소나는 음원의 송신시간과 반사파의 수신시간 정보를 이용하여 표적의 위치를 산출한다. 그러나 음원의 송신시간 정보를 수신센서와 공유하지 않는 비동기 양상태 소나 시스템에서는 표적의 위치를 산출하기 위해 수신센서에서 음원의 직접파(direct blast)를 탐지해야한다. 본 논문에서는 직접파에 대한 PRI(Pulse Repetition Interval)와 적응적인 임계치 추정을 통해 직접파 탐지를 수행하는 기법을 제안한다. 모의 신호 및 해상 실험 데이터를 이용하여 제안하는 기법의 성능을 분석하였고 그 결과 강한 배경소음 및 직접파와 유사한 다수의 표적 반사파가 존재하는 환경에서도 강인한 직접파 탐지 성능을 보여주었다.

Effect of Deposition Rate on the Property of ZnO Thin Films Deposited by Pulsed Laser Deposition

  • ZnO thin films were deposited at different repetition rates of 5 Hz and 10 Hz by pulsed laser deposition. X-ray diffraction (XRD) full widths at half maximum (FWHMs) of (002) ZnO peak in ZnO thin film deposited at 5 Hz and 10 Hz was 0.22 and $0.26^{\circ}$, respectively. The grain size of ZnO thin film deposited at 5 Hz was larger than that of 10 Hz. The variation of repetition rates did not have an effect on the optical property of ZnO thin films. The degradation of the crystalline quality and surface morphology in ZnO thin film deposited at 10 Hz resulted from supersaturation effect by decrease of time interval between a ZnO particle arriving on a substrate by laser shot and a ZnO particle arriving on a substrate by next laser shot.

An Application Based on Smart Device for Special Effect Shooting of Movies

  • In this paper, we proposed an application which can conduct to take repetition images for special effect shooting at movies or drama using Bluetooth of smart device. The proposed application can move a camera with motors several times as the same moving after saving of the control data based on the application during specific time using Bluetooth. At the repetition moving, we do not permit to control motors of the camera by person for keeping the same start position and end position after saving the moving data. The camera motors are only moved remotely by saving data of the proposed application. We developed the proposed application and a hardware which works motors with camera to check performance evaluation. Then, we confirmed that the proposed application exactly did the same moving to the motors with camera several times according to saved data. Therefore, because the proposed application can take a same images as control remotely the motors of camera, it will be a useful technology for special effect shooting of movies or dramas.

레이저를 이용한 하지정맥류 치료의 정량화 연구 (Quantitative Evaluation on Laser Performance for Endovenous Photocoagulation)

  • The purpose of the study was to identify the effect of laser parameters on photocoagulation to maximize safety and efficacy during varicose vein treatment. CW and pulsed modes at 1470 nm were initially compared as a function of power on bovine liver tissue. In the pulsed mode, various parameters including repetition rate, duty cycle, and irradiation time were compared to evaluate tissue response during thermal treatment. The results demonstrated that CW and pulsed modes yielded almost similar coagulation development possibly due to shorter irradiation time of 5 sec. Regardless of laser mode, both repetition rate and duty cycle presented constant coagulation rate whereas longer irradiation time facilitated coagulation process.

자기공명영상장치에서 전자파흡수율 분석 (Analysis of Specific Absorption Rate in Magnetic Resonance Imaging)

  • 본 연구는 자기공명영상장치의 특성변수인 숙임각(flip angle), 반복시간(repetition time, TR), 에코시간(echo time, TE)을 사용하여 전자파흡수율(specific absorption rate, SAR)을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 체중 10 kg부터 90 kg까지를 대상으로 하여 동일한 검사기법을 적용하였고, 매개변수의 변화에 따른 평균 SAR 및 peak SAR 값을 측정하였다. 체중에 따른 SAR는 TE에서 변화는 없지만 숙임각이 커지고 TR이 짧을수록 증가하였다. SAR 값은 두부 허용 기준치 범위에 포함이 되었고 분절별 체중에 따른 영상의 신호 대 잡음비(signal to noise ratio, SNR)는 체중이 증가함에 따라 SNR은 증가하지는 않았다. 본 결과를 바탕으로 적절한 특성변수를 사용하여 다양한 대조도와 SNR을 얻어 진단의 가치를 높일 수 있을 것이다.

복분자 열매를 이용한 천연염색 (Natural Dyeing of Silk Fabric Dyed with Rubus Coreanus Miquel Extract)

  • For the purpose of application to new natural dyestuff, the dyeability of Rubus coreanus Miquel extract was analyzed. It was dyed in silk fabric according to various dye concentration, dyeing temperature, dyeing time, and dyeing repetition. And the effects of mordanting conditions were examined as color differences and color fastnesses. The maximum absorbance of Rubus coreanus Miquel extract was at 521 nm. The dyeaffinities were increased gradually as were increased dye concentration, dyeing temperature, dyeing time, and dyeing repetition. The dyeaffinity was increased at pre-mordanted condition, and color difference was increased distinctly at post mordanted condition. The hues of mordanted silk fabrics were RP, P, PB, BG where as non mordanted silk fabric was R. Lightfastness was the best at pre-Sn mordanted and the worst at Post-Al mordanted. Washing and perspiration fastnesses were improved on pre and post-Sn mordanted.

High Repetition Rate Optical Pulse Multiplication with Cascaded Long-period Fiber Gratings

  • We propose and demonstrate a novel optical pulse multiplier applicable to OTDM (Optical Time Division Multiplexing) systems using cascaded long-period fiber gratings. We have exploited the fact that each mode in a fiber has a different propagation constant to obtain time delays among optical pulses. The proposed scheme could realize high-frequency optical pulse multiplication for optical short pulse trains. We have successfully implemented two, four, and eight times multiplications with the maximum repetition rate of 416.7 ㎓. The obtained pulse delays are well matched with the simulated ones.

Ultralow Intensity Noise Pulse Train from an All-fiber Nonlinear Amplifying Loop Mirror-based Femtosecond Laser

  • A robust all-fiber nonlinear amplifying loop-mirror-based mode-locked femtosecond laser is demonstrated. Power-dependent nonlinear phase shift in a Sagnac loop enables stable and power-efficient mode-locking working as an artificial saturable absorber. The pump power is adjusted to achieve the lowest intensity noise for stable long-term operation. The minimum pump power for mode-locking is 180 mW, and the optimal pump power is 300 mW. The lowest integrated root-mean-square relative intensity noise of a free-running mode-locked laser is 0.009% [integration bandwidth: 1 Hz-10 MHz]. The long-term repetition-rate instability of a free-running mode-locked laser is 10-7 over 1,000 s averaging time. The repetition-rate phase noise scaled at 10-GHz carrier is -122 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz Fourier frequency. The demonstrated method can be applied as a seed source in high-precision real-time mid-infrared molecular spectroscopy.

NMR을 이용한 천연 및 합성 다이아몬드의 특성 분석 연구 (Application of NMR on the Study of Natural and Synthetic Diamonds)

  • 보석질 천연 다이아몬드와 합성 다이아몬드의 $^{15}N$$^{13}C$에 대하여 다양한 스핀 이완 시간과 반복 시간을 적용한 NMR 실험을 수행하였다. $^{13}C$에 대해서는 보석질 천연 다이아몬드는 실험 반복 시간이 30초에서 34.1 ppm의 미약한 신호를 얻었으며 합성 다이아몬드에서는 실험 반복 간격이 0.5초에서부터 34.2 ppm의 신호를 얻었으며 실험 반복 시간이 50초에서는 더 뚜렷한 34.7 ppm의 신호를 얻을 수 있었다. 천연 및 합성 다이아몬드의 극히 낮은 함량에 기인하여 $^{15}N$는 NMR 신호가 감지되지 않았다. 천연 다이아몬드와 합성 다이아몬드의 이완 시간과 불순물의 성분 함량은 서로 밀접한 관련성이 있음을 확인하였으나 $^{13}C$의 NMR 특성의 유사성으로 신호의 강약의 차이를 제외하고는 천연 혹은 합성 여부의 구별은 가능하지 않았다.

엘리트 수영선수들의 수중 훈련 전후의 상지 근육 특성 변화 분석 (Analysis of Upper Limb Muscles Properties In Elite Swimmers Before and After Training)

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to verify the differences in muscle characteristics of elite level swimmers before and after a 2-hour practice session. Method: The study was conducted on 15 elite swimmers. Preliminary measurements for each muscle (Anterior Deltoid, Triceps Brachii, Biceps Brachii, Flexor Carpi Ulnaris) were taken using the MyotonPRO device before training. After approximately 2 hours of training, the same muscle areas were measured again. The collected data was analyzed through descriptive statistics and two-way 2×2 RG·RM ANOVA, and all statistical significance levels were set at α=.05. Results: After analyzing the characteristics of the Flexor Carpi Ulnaris (FCU) before and after training in both proficiency level swimmers (excellent, non-excellent), it was found that the interaction effect of group X repetition in muscle tension (F), muscle stiffness (S), and body recovery time (R) was statistically significant. Secondly, in the analysis of the Biceps Brachii (BB), the main effect of repetition in muscle tension (F), muscle stiffness (S), and body recovery time (R) was statistically significant. Furthermore, the interaction effect of group X repetition in muscle stiffness (S) and body recovery time (R) was statistically significant. Conclusion: The efficient use of FCU and BB suggests that it is an important factor distinguishing the performance of excellent and non-excellent swimmers in swimming. Therefore, if we develop and apply measures to efficiently utilize FCU and BB during training, it can help improve the performance of the athletes.
