  • IT 기술의 급속한 발달과 초고속망을 통한 인터넷 보급에 힘입어, 기업이나 공공기관의 사무실 중심으로 구축되던 네트워크 환경이 가정내의 디지털 전자기기로 확산되어 가면서 홈 네트워크 산업에 대한 관심이 높다. 홈 네트워크는 다양한 응용 분야들이 제안되어왔고 그 중 원격 모니터링 및 원격 제어 분야도 지속적으로 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 JAVA 확장 API인 JMF(Java Media Framework)를 사용하여 웹 상에서 홈페이지 접속을 통한 실시간 원격 영상 모니터링 시스템과 홈 네트워킹의 대표적 무선 기술인 Zigbee를 이용한 조명 제어시스템을 구현 하였다.

  • 자율운항선박(MASS : Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships)은, 고도의 자율도를 가지고, 계획된 경로를 따라 자율 운항하지만, 필요시 육상원격제어센터(SRCC : Shore Remote Control Center)에서 선박의 운항에 직접 개입할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 자율운항선박의 운항을 육상에서 모니터링하고 유사시 원격제어하는 역할을 담당할 육상원격제어사(SRCO : Shore Remote Control Officer)의 교육훈련에 필요한 시뮬레이터 시스템의 운용개념과 이를 가능하게 하기 위한 요구기능에 대해 검토하였다. 육상원격제어 시뮬레이터 시스템은, 다수의 자율운항선박의 운항상황을 모니터링하는 Monitoring Station, 유사시 특정 선박의 운항에 직접 원격개입하는 Control Station의 기능을 모의하도록 하였고, 시뮬레이션 종합통제실, 자율운항선박 운항상황 모의 시뮬레이터, 그리고 주변의 유인선 운항을 모의하기 위한 통항선 시뮬레이터 등으로 구성하였다. 기능적으로는, 육상에서 선박을 직접 제어하기 위하여 원격으로 개입하는 ESRC(Emergency Situation for Remote Control) 상황을 정의하여 이러한 상황을 모의할 수 있도록 하였다.

빌딩청소용 이동로봇을 위한 원격 모니터링 시스템 (Remote Monitoring System for a Building Cleaning Mobile Robot)

  • This paper presents a remote monitoring and simulation system for a building cleaning mobile robot. It provides a tool of convenient 3D graphical map construction including network camera image viewer and status information of the robot. The 3D map is reconstructed from existing 2D building CAD data with DXF format using OpenGL graphic API. Through this system, it is possible to monitor and control the cleaning mobile robot from remote place. A practical experiment is performed to show the reliability and convenience of the monitoring system. The proposed system is expected to give efficient way of control and monitoring to building cleaning mobile robot.

  • Recently, the advanced countries are using the corrosion monitoring system in a chemical plant and an oil tank in order to protect the corrosion because it leads to a big accident, pollution of soil. and lose of money Generally. the owners of the facilities adopt CP(Cathodic Protection) systems to protect the corrosion also. However, a CP system for oil tank was not considered in Korea Moreover they didn't adopted a corrosion monitoring system. In this paper, we have been developed not only the remote automatic corrosion monitoring but also the remote corrosion control system using the high efficiency CP rectifier. This results should be used to operate the CP system effectively and economically. And also it will be possible to extend the expectation life of the Oil tanks.

디지털 트윈을 활용한 실시간 모니터링 및 원격제어 시스템의 테스트베드 구현 (Implementation of Real-time Monitoring and Remote Control System Testbed based on Digital Twin)

  • Digital twin has the advantages of quality improvement and cost reduction, so it is widely applied to various industries. In this paper, a method to implement the major technologies of digital twin easily and quickly is presented. These include data management and relay servers, real-time monitoring applications including remote control interfaces, and direct connection protocols for video streaming. In addition, an algorithm for controlling a two-wheeled vehicle with a 2D interface is also proposed. The implemented system performs near real-time synchronization between the real environment and the virtual space. The delay time that occurs in remote control of the vehicle in the real environment was compared with the results of applying the proposed delay time reduction method. In addition, in the case of 2D interface-based control, an algorithm that can guarantee the user experience was implemented and applied to the actual environment and verified through experiments.

  • This paper describes a remote monitoring system of temperature control for cold-storage of farm produce. In cold-storage, it is important that farm produces are stored as fresh. Unfortunately, when an operator goes out from the cold-storage, the temperature could be changed due to the various reasons, for an example, a valve of cooler is broken. The temperature change results in a serious problem of the quality of farm produce. To prevent the problem, the operator has to look to the current state of the temperature of the cold-storage, even he is in long away. Thus, the monitoring system to show the temperature is required to the operator who can move away. Therefore, this paper describes the remote monitoring system of the temperature. The proposed system is expected to help the operator's facilities, and the management of farm produce.

  • LED 가로등의 수요가 증가하면서 LED 가로등의 효율성 제고 및 다양한 부가서비스를 위한 원격 제어 및 모니터링에 대한 수요가 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 기존의 가로등 원격 제어 시스템은 전력선 통신망을 이용하는 유선 방식이 주를 이루고 있고, 무선 연결 방식이 존재하나 전송 속도의 제약이 있어 단순 제어 및 모니터링 이외의 부가 서비스를 지원하기에는 어려운 점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 무선랜 기반의 IEEE 802.11s 무선 메쉬 네트워크를 LED 가로등의 원격 제어 및 모니터링의 백본 네트워크로 사용하는 시스템을 제안한다. 무선 메쉬 네트워크를 사용함으로써 LED 가로등의 원격 제어 및 모니터링과 동시에 LED 가로등이 공공 Wi-Fi 액세스 포인트의 역할을 수행하게 한다. 이를 위해 Wi-Fi 통합형 LED 가로등 컨트롤러를 설계하고 시스템을 구현하고 Test Bed를 구성하여 성능을 평가 하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템은 무선 메쉬를 활용하여 U-city의 인프라로의 역할 수행이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • The research for development of remote monitoring and control systems composed three stages of research categories. At the first stage, we decided the suitable instrumentation devices for interface between H/W systems and waste water treatment facility. And at the second stage, we developed the software package for remote monitoring and data transmission system including data receipt system via wired telephone line. At the final stage we developed local control system for auto-process control of waste water treatment facilities. Conceptual Design of a Remote Monitoring and Control System for Nuclear Power Plants

  • Nuclear power plants (NPPs) will be highly connected network enabled systems in the future. Using the network and web enabled tools, NPPs will be remotely monitored by operators at any time from any place connected to the network via a general web browser. However, there will be two major issues associated with this implementation. The first is the security issue. Only the authorized persons need to be allowed to access the plant since NPP is a safety-critical system. However, the web technology is open to the public. The second is the network disturbance issue. If operators can not access the plant due to network disturbances, the plant will come into the out-of-control situation. Therefore, in this work, we performed a conceptual design of a web-based remote monitoring and control system (RMCS) considering these issues.

  • In this paper a remote monitoring and control system using SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) for UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems is proposed. The local remote system by RS-232 or RS-485 communication code or the wide remote system by modems is used for conventional remote monitoring & control system for UPSs. But recently because of communication cost and long distance the system is changed to remote control systems through internet and information communication network. And serial communication method by RS-232 or RS-485 is used between agent and UPSs. In this study. we designed and developed the system which is able to control UPSs and to monitor errors. statuses and actual values transmitted from UPS through internet.
