일개 의과대학생의 말기 환자 치료 결정에 대한 태도 (Attitudes of Medical Students' towards End-of-life Care Decision-making)

  • 목적: 말기 암 환자의 증가, 노년인구의 증가, 연명치료기술의 발달 등으로 완치될 수 없는 질환을 가진 말기 환자에 대한 치료 결정(End of life decision making)은 늘어나고 있다. 하지만 이에 대한 의료진의 태도나 환자 및 보호자의 인식은 낮은 상태에 있고 이로 인해서 말기 환자에게 말기진정과 같은 결정이 필요한 경우에 있어서도 그 시행에 많은 제약이 있으며 때로는 잘못된 시행으로 윤리적으로 어긋나는 경우가 발생되고 있다. 이에 의과대학 교육과정을 통하여 말기 환자 치료 결정에 대한 올바른 태도 변화를 가져올 수 있으며, 미래 의료계의 주역이 될 의과대학생들이 말기진정을 포함하여 능동적 안락사, 의사조력자살, 연명치료 유보 및 중단 등 말기 환자 치료결정에 대해 어떠한 태도를 가지고 있는가를 알아보기 위하여 본 연구를 시행하였다. 방법: 2007년 6월 25일부터 6월 29일 사이에 1개 의과대학 본과 1, 2학년 학생과 임상 실습중인 3학년 학생 총 388명을 대상으로 능동적 안락사, 의사조력자살, 연명치료 유보 및 중단, 말기 진정 등 말기 환자 치료결정에 대한 태도와 인구사회학적 자료를 설문 조사하였다. 응답이 완료된 267명을 대상으로 말기 환자 치료결정에 대한 태도와 각 인자들 간의 관련성을 분석하였다. 결과: 일개 의과대학생 267명을 대상으로 시행한 설문 조사에서 능동적 안락사, 의사조력자살, 연명치료의 유보 및 중단, 말기 진정의 시행에 찬성하는 비율은 각각 37.1%, 21.7%, 58.4%, 60.3%, 41.6%였다. 이 비율은 각 항목의 윤리적 타당성에 대한 설문 결과와 유사하였다. 1학년보다는 3학년에서 능동적 안락사와 의사조력자살은 더 반대하였고, 연명치료 유보 및 중단, 말기 진정에 대해서는 더 찬성하였다. 종교 활동 시간이 많을수록 각 항목에 대한 찬성이 적었으며 교육 경험 유무, 특히 임상실습경험이 있는 3학년 학생에서 말기 진정에 더 많이 찬성하였다. 연령, 임종 환자 경험 유무가 태도에 미치는 영향은 없었다. 결론: 말기 환자 치료 결정의 구체적 임상 행위에 대한 의과대학생의 태도에 이전 연구에서처럼 종교 또는 교육이 말기 환자 치료 결정에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 특히, 임상실습을 통한 교육경험이 태도 변화에 중요하였다.

남전 율장의 가사 계율에 관한 고찰 (A Study on the Kasaya Rule of Southern Vinaya-Pitaka)

  • This paper is on the Kasaya that reveals conspicuously the religious meaning among the Korean Buddhist costumes. The Kasaya has the most special meaning among Korean costume culture. It has the most important historical value, for Buddhism is the oldest religion that begins at 4th century A.D.. It has the most unordinary shape that we could not find any other costume culture. It has very important meaning to study on the Kasaya in the religious and cultural history of Korean costume. We have to study Korean Kasaya from surveying Indian Buddhist Kasaya diachronicaly. Buddha establishes himself the rules of weaving, coloring and wearing Kasaya. Bunso costume(분소의)is the first shape of Kasaya that he has worn during his ascetic practice. Bunso costume was a kind of shari. It is made with diapers those clean ordure of baby It symbolizes the life of ascetic practice. However Buddha could not stick to it as the only costume of monks. From his age Buddhist devotees have thought Buddha and monks as sacred beings. So they eagerly want to Provide the sacred beings with foods. clothes and other things that samgha(승가) need to live and accomplish their duties. At that time there are many kings, aristocracies and rich merchants among the devotees. They often offered them the luxurious silk Kasaya. that the ascetic monks could not wear. to express their deep faith. So the rules of the samgha has been distorted. The samgha has enlarged day by day as a great huge religious association. There are many different shapes of Kasaya. The Buddhist samgha need to establish a minute and rigid rules of Kasaya to order living of monks and to teach the moral and educational life to ordinary people. That book of rule is Vinaya pitaka(율장) . There are many kinds of Vinaya pitaka. This paper surveys the rules of Kasaya from Southern Vinaya pitaka(남전율장). This study will be the basic ground to research the Korean Buddhist Kasaya.

  • The article examines the axiological psycho-philosophical understanding of the phenomenon of money and its value role in modern society. The traditional and virtual context of the representation of the money phenomenon is considered.Following the ideas of G. Simmel, the authors consider money not only as a purely economic, but also a psycho-philosophical, cultural and social phenomenon. Money appears as a result of cultural development of the world and gradually forms a monetary culture as a space of economic and social interaction of people. Under the influence of the monetary culture of one or another historical period, the character of a person's economic activity, values and life orientations are formed. Modern money culture is often called financial civilization. Peculiarities of modern monetary culture are studied, its main features and problems are determined in the article. The problem of the peculiarities of the constructive and destructive attitude of the individual towards money is identified; a psycho-philosophical and cultural-identification typology of people is described, which is based on clinical observations and interpreted through the prism of psychoanalytic theory. The concept of money is highlighted from the standpoint of a social-psychological approach. The theoretical foundations of money's influence on the decision-making process and human behavior are also revealed.

이슬람의 카라반세라이(caravanserail)공간의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of the Caravanserai Space of Islam)

  • The Caravanserai, which can be discovered in the Islamic States in the regions of the Northern Africa and the Middle Asia, still maintains its profound influence to the Islamic World as one of significant edifices in the Islamic World. The majority of the Islamic people at the time of the foundation of Islamic State around AD. 7th century was the nomads, and a trade by means of caravan with their neighboring people was their critical activity for obtaining the necessities of life. With its political and social condition of the Islamic State stabilized and economy developed, the scope of commerce began to grow and the scale of trading with foreign countries started to expand. Along with this economic expansion, the caravanserai began to take a shape as a channel through which not only could the commercial commodities be traded but also religious Islamic ideas and important information could be spread into and shared with the people of neighboring countries. The significance of the caravanserai comes from such observation that it did play major roles in consolidating the solidarity of Islamic states and keeping a religious unity among them. The caravanserai, heading far beyond being a mere commercial center, ultimately functioned as a seedbed of life and spirit of the Islam. Starting from the understanding of social and political significance of the caravanserai, I set the first objective of this article to read into the architecture and interior design of the caravanserai and understand the general characteristics of the Islamic architecture and interior design.

상선 승무원들의 건강관리에 관한 지식, 태도, 실천행위에 관한조사 (A Survey of Knowledge, Attitudes and Practice Behaviors about Health Management for Seafares)

  • 본 연구는 상선승무원들의 건강관리와 관련된 지식, 태도 그리고 실천행위간의 관계를 조사하여 승무원들의 건강관리를 위한 기초 자료를 제공하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 516명의 상선승무원들을 대상으로 설문 및 면접을 통해 조사 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 고연령, 기혼자, 종교가 있는 자, 고위직급자, 경력이 많은 자가 건강관리에 대한 지식정도가 높았으며, 태도와 실천행위 정도는 고연령자, 기혼자. 종교가 있는 자, 경력이 많은 자, 근무시간이 적은 자 일수록 높은 점수를 나타내어 유의한 차이를 나타내었다(p < 0.05).....(중략).....

이슬람 부흥의 전개와 영향 : 인도네시아의 사례 (Islamic Resurgence and Its Influences in Indonesia)

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the process of Islamic change in Indonesia since the 1970s, which is commonly called 'Islamic resurgence' or 'Islamization.' A brief analysis of the reasons for Islamic resurgence is followed by discussions on its long-term effects on the life of Indonesian Muslims. Shift in the ways Islamic matters have been treated in public, gradual realization of what Islamic groups have demanded in non-religious areas, stipulation of local regulation based on shariah and spread of radicalism are to be investigated one by one. With these examinations, it will be argued that the most significant change throughout the last four decades has been the surge of Islam as a reference point to interpret everyday life of Muslims. The dichotomy of 'Islamic' and 'non-Islamic' is instated as a key in Islamic discourse and the Quran and Hadith, as a criterion to judge whether certain views and behavior are Islamic or not. These have strengthened the position of scripturalism in Indonesian Islam. Islamic resurgence has also resulted in the acceleration of the diversification of Indonesian Muslims. Muslims with radical, fundamental, reformist, traditional and liberal views coexist, competing for stronger social and religious influences. As radical and fundamental groups have been more active in dealing with socio-political affairs recently, whether their active involvement will result in wider influences over the ordinary Muslims is the key to understand the future dynamics of Indonesian Islam.

  • Altruistic virtuous caring, possibly originated from religion and/or spirituality, is indispensable for holistic health through channeling vital energy with diet, exercise and meditation. This is a participant-observed medical anthropological research of a first generation Korean elderly immigrant health professional woman living in a four generational family. She had hypertension and was concerned about possible attack of stroke. Multi-religious, spiritual, and cosmological vital energy based on holistic Nature-oriented health beliefs and practices influenced by psychosocial, cultural and economic background, education, self- discipline and self-cultivation of individual, and group or family may create health. Self-care beliefs based on confidence in self-control of one's life style for oneself and others influence individual and group health practice. The holistic alternative health beliefs and practices were proved to be efficacious and beneficial by her self-evaluation, evaluation of significant others, biomedical professionals, and laboratory tests. That may have potential application for global health.

중년기 여성의 사회활동에 관한 일 고찰 (The Social Activities of the Middle-aged Women)

  • This study explores the overall social activities of the middle-aged women. The middle-aged married women of this study are the 40-59 years old and having youngest child above 10 years. Their social activities are categorized into work activities leisure avtivities social network with kin friends and neighbors and religious activities. The results are summarized as follows: (1) The work activities of he middle-aged married women are characterized by stable employment preparation of reentry to the job worries of unemployment and preparation of retirement(2) The leisure activities of the middle-aged married women are devided into two styles; family oriented activities and self developing activities. (3) In social networks especially the social relation with neighbor are increased and the relation with kinship tends to be bilineages. (4) Their religious activities are more supported by families than other activities. From he result this study suggests that : (1) The middle-aged m rried women might accept their midlife as a developmental stage. (2) The volunteer activities might be extended throughout the social activities (3) New social education programs for helping women's growth might be developed.

휴먼서비스 전공분야 대학생의 영적안녕과 우울 및 삶의 만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study of Spiritual Well-Being, Depression, and Life Satisfaction of Students Majoring in Human Service Area)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between spiritual well-being, depression and life satisfaction majoring in human service area. Methods: The subjects were 212 college students. Data was collected from september 15 to October 26, 2009 using questionnaires. Means with standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficients were used to analyze the data. Results: According to general characteristics of the students, there were statistically significant differences in spiritual well-being for religion and religious influence, in depression, there was statistically significant difference for health status, and in life satisfaction, there were statistically significant differences monthly pocket money, health status, current survival parents status, current problem. significant correlations were seen between spiritual well-being and depression (r=-.386, p =.000), life satisfaction (r=.536, p =.000). Conclusion: Spiritual well-being was significantly effects on depression and the life satisfaction. The finding suggest that it is needed to develop effective programs to improve spiritual well-being for college students.

의료기관 비정규직의 차별경험과 삶의 질 관계 분석 (Association between Discrimination Experience and Quality of Life among Non-regular workers in Hospitals)

  • Purposes: The purpose of this study was to analyze the association between discrimination experience and quality of life among non-regular workers in hospitals. Methodology: The data was collected from 292 employees of 7 university hospitals using a standardized questionnaire. In research methodology, the data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, pearson's correlation, multiple regression analysis. Findings: In case of non-regular workers, inequality of distribution, position unfairness, employment instability, number of discrimination experiences were found to have a negative(-) effect on quality of life. Religion, income in general characteristics had a significant positive(+) effect on quality of life. And the discrimination of non-regular woman workers was higher and the quality of life was lower than that of men. Practical Implications: These results showed that hospitals needed active efforts to create non-regular woman-friendly work environment. In addition, active religious activities gave emotional stability and positive effect to no-regular workers.
