  • This study wascarried out to compare the medicinal effects of various Ganoderma species mycelial extracts. Among 6 Ganoderma species mycelial extracts by using 100% MeOH, G. species ASI-7150 showed the highest antioxidant effect. In nitric oxide (NO) production and ${\beta}$-hexosaminidase release inhibition assay, the treatment of G. lucidum ATCC64251 (Taiwan) mycelia extracts most effectively inhibited NO production in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells and ${\beta}$-hexosaminidase release. In addition, the treatment of all 6 Ganoderma species mycelial extracts were not affect on RAW264.7 cell viability. Although this preliminary research has thrown up many questions in need of further investigation, it will serve as a base for further studies of medicinal effects of various Ganoderma species.

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of slow release fertilizers (SRF), crotonylidene diurea (CDU) and latex coated urea (LCU), on nitrogen (N) use efficiency (NUE) and nitrate-N leaching in a silty clay loam soil under polyethylene film mulching (PFM) for sesame cultivation. In PFM plot, concentrations of $NO_3-N$ and $NH_4-N$ in SRF applied soils were less than that in the urea plot during the whole growing period. However, $NO_3-N$ and $NH_4-N$ in all the non-mulched plots (NM) were not significantly different. Urea-N in soil treated with SRF was higher than urea plot until 50 days after application and was comparable in all the treatments after 50 days. $NO_3-N$ concentrations in leached solution in 21 days after urea fertilization in PFM and NM were 26 mg $L^{-1}$ and 83 mg $L^{-1}$, respectively. However, $NO_3-N$ in leached solution at applied CDU and LCU was less than that of urea similar to nitrate concentration in soil. $NO_3-N$ in leached solution in applied CDU and LCU in 44 days after application was about 25% lower than that urea plot and PFM, while the $NO_3-N$ concentration of CDU and LCU treatment in NM did not changed. Application of SRF increased the yield of sesame and N recovery compared to urea and there was a little difference between SRF and N levels. In conclusion, application of 80% N level with SRF increased N recovery and reduced nitrate leaching without reduction of yields compared with urea application.

  • The in vivo and in vitro effects of oriental herb extracts of Cassia obtusifolia, Taraxacum platycarpum and Ulmusmacrocarpa on anti-atopic allergic reaction were evaluated in this study. A mixture of these extracts exhibited more potent anti-allergic activities in human mast cells than those from individual extracts. The herbal mixture significantly inhibited the release of compound 48/80-induced $\beta$-hexosaminidase release in the human mast cell line, HMC-1. The mixture also suppressed the production of PMA and A23187-induced inflammatory cytokines in HMC-1 cells. To further investigate the in vivo effects of the herbal mixture, a Dermatophagoides farinae (DF)-induced atopic dermatitis mouse model was utilized. Oral administration of the herbal mixture significantly decreased the ear thickness and swelling in DF treated NC/Nga mice in a dose dependent manner. Furthermore, serum levels of IgE and interleukin-4 (IL-4) were significantly decreased, whereas interferon-gamma (IFN-$\gamma$) levels were increased in the mixture administrated groups when compared to the control. Taken together, our data indicate the possibility of using a mixture of the oriental herb extract to relieve symptoms of atopic dermatitis.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate anti-obesity activity of Cirsium setidens Nakai test material (CNTM) in 3T3-L1 adipocytes and obese C57BL/6J mice fed with a high-fat diet using various obesity-related in vitro experiments. During adipocyte differentiation, CNTM significantly inhibited lipid accumulation and ROS production compared to controls. To evaluate whether CNTM could exert glycerol release effects on mature 3T3-L1 adipocytes, we treated cells with various concentrations of CNTM for 1 h. Treatment of mature adipocytes with $160-320{\mu}g/mL$ of CNTM increased the release of glycerol, but not in a significant dose-dependent manner. Anti-adipogenic and anti-lipogenic effects of CNTM seemed to be mediated by the inhibition of $PPAR{\gamma}$ and $C/EBP{\alpha}$. Moreover, CNTM stimulated fatty acid oxidation in an AMPK-dependent manner. CNTM-treated groups of C57BL/6J mice showed reduced body weights and adipose tissue weight with improving serum lipid profiles and adiponectin protein expression in obese C57BL/6J mice fed with a high-fat diet. These results suggest that CNTM might have anti-obesity effect on adipogenesis and lipid metabolism in vitro and in vivo. This presents the possibility of developing a treatment for obesity using nontoxic natural resources.

  • For in recently years, global cellular network service is changing rapidly to 4G. However, the fast introducing of 4G has been going with not enough research about security threat, it could be many kind of vulnerability. Therefore the research about security threat on 4G network is ongoing in external countries, but not sufficient in domestic. particularly in domestic situation of rapidly increased subscribers, The security threats which are hindering stability and usability could make a fatal effect on many users. 4G network should be considered about the feature of mobile network to protect 4G network stable. Mobile network has limited radio resources, it releases the radio resource which is not used in selected time and reallocate when detected the data transmission. Many signaling messages are transferred in the network entities to allocate or release the radio resource. In this paper, it will be introduced the technology to detect signaling DoS traffic hindering the stability and usability of network entities managing the radio resources by huge signaling message from the repetitive wireless connection/release message.

  • The present sutdy aimed to determine whether olmesartan, an angiotensin II (Ang II) type 1 ($AT_1$) receptor blocker, can influence the CA release from the isolated perfused model of the rat adrenal medulla. Olmesartan ($5{\sim}50{\mu}M$) perfused into an adrenal vein for 90 min produced dose- and time-dependent inhibition of the CA secretory responses evoked by ACh (5.32 mM), high $K^+$ (56 mM, a direct membrane-depolarizer), DMPP (100 ${\mu}M$) and McN-A-343 (100 ${\mu}M$). Olmesartan did not affect basal CA secretion. Also, in adrenal glands loaded with olmesartan (15 ${\mu}M$), the CA secretory responses evoked by Bay-K-8644 (10 ${\mu}M$, an activator of voltage-dependent L-type $Ca^{2+}$ channels), cyclopiazonic acid (10 ${\mu}M$, an inhibitor of cytoplasmic $Ca^{2+}$-ATPase), veratridine (100 ${\mu}M$, an activator of voltage-dependent $Na^+$ channels), and Ang II (100 nM) were markedly inhibited. However, at high concentrations ($150{\sim}300{\mu}M$), olmesartan rather enhanced the ACh-evoked CA secretion. Taken together, these results show that olmesartan at low concentrations inhibits the CA secretion evoked by cholinergic stimulation (both nicotininc and muscarinic receptors) as well as by direct membrane depolarization from the rat adrenal medulla, but at high concentrations it rather potentiates the ACh-evoked CA secretion. It seems that olmesartan has a dual action, acting as both agonist and antagonist at nicotinic receptors of the isolated perfused rat adrenal medulla, which might be dependent on the concentration. It is also thought that this inhibitory effect of olmesartan may be mediated by blocking the influx of both $Na^+$ and $Ca^{2+}$ into the rat adrenomedullary chromaffin cells as well as by inhibiting the $Ca^{2+}$ release from the cytoplasmic calcium store, which is thought to be relevant to the $AT_1$ receptor blockade, in addition to its enhancement on the CA secreton.

  • This research was carried out to evaluate effect of metallic release and change of water corrosive indices by the pH and alkalinity adjustment using the SDLS (Simulated Distribution Loop System) which consist of six types of pipe loop with DCIP, PVC, PE, STS304, CP, GSP, respectively, and its effects on water quality changes which were microbes quality(SPC), residual chlorine. THMs and other parameters. And it was to propose optimal criteria of water quality control for the field application. According to the results, water control system by pH and alkalinity adjustment showed the changing of corrosive water and reducing of metallic release rate and it was not affects of THMs formation, microbes regrowth and variation of other parameters. Water quality stability and corrosion control were due to calcium carbonate precipitation film formation of pipe inner by water quality control. Therefore, corrosive water control system by pH and alkalinity adjustment can be attributed to effective water quality management in water distribution system according to water quality stability of pH and TIC(Total Inorganic Carbonate concentration) that affect the precipitation and dissolution of solids.

  • Statement of problem. Intraoral corrosion not only affects the esthetic and function of metallic dental restoration, but also has biologic consequences as well. Therefore, corrosion is considered a primary factor when choosing the dental alloy and laboratory technique. Purpose. The objective of this study was to compare the effects of solder and laser weld on corrosion Material and methods. Test specimens were made of 2 types of gold alloys, Co-Cr and Ni-Cr alloy and fabricated 3 methods, respectively: as cast, solder, and laser weld. For the analysis of corroding properties, potentiodynamic polarization test and immersion test conducted. The potentiodynamic polarization scan curve were recorded in 0.9% NaCl solution(pH 7) using Potentiostat/Galyanostat Model 273A. All specimens were exposed to 0.9% NaCl solution(pH 2.3) during 14 days. Elemental release into corrosive solution was measured by atomic emission spectrometry Differences in corrosion potential and mass release were determined using ANOVA. Results and conclusion. Through analyses of the data, following results were obtained. 1. In Pontor MPF and Wiron 99, corrosion potential of the solder group was statistically lower than as cast and laser weld group (p<0.05) , but there was no difference between corrosion potential of solder group and laser weld group in Pontor MPF and no differences between as cast and laser weld group (p>0.05). In Jel-Bios 10 and Wirobond, there was no difference of corrosion potential according to joining methods(p>0.05). 2. In all tested alloys, the amount of released metallic ion was greatest in the solder group(p<0.05). There was no difference between as cast group and laser weld group in Jel-Bios 10 and Wirobond(p>0.05). 3. In scanning electron microscopic examination. except soldered Wiron 99 specimens, it is impossible to discriminate the corrosive property of solder and laser weld. 4. Under the this experimental circumstances, laser weld appears superior to the solder when corrosion is considered.

  • As the results achieved by the evaluation of toxicities on an aphid parasitoid, Aphidius colemani by 79 pesticides registered as horticultural pesticide and 4 adjuvants far pest control, 6 insecticides including a-cypermethrin, 13 fungicides including metalaxyl-M+mancozeb and 4 acaricides including bifenazate showed low toxicity against A. colemani adult. Low toxicity was showed in all the 4 adjuvants as well. In residual toxicity test from 40 pesticides which showed toxicity more than 50%, A. colemani was safe from 11 pesticides from the 3th day after treatment, 7 pesticides from the 5th day after treatment and 14 pesticides from the 7th day after treatment, respectively. But, chlorpyrifos-methyl, diflubenzuron+chlorpyrifos, etofenprox+diazinone and imidachloprid+chlorpyrifos showed high toxicities reaching 100%, 97.7%, 100% and 100% respectively, even from the 7th day after treatment. To evaluate the control effect by A. colemani against Myzus persicae in a greenhouse, A. colemani was released at parasitoid versus aphids rates of 1:50 and 1:100 when the population of M persicae was 50 per plant. After release, aphids population remained steady for 20 days after release at the level of around 60 aphids per plant. During the investigation, insecticides fur thrips control and fungicides for powdery mildew control were treated, but didn't affect the mummy forming of A. colemani. It may be suggested from these results that the selected insecticides, fungicides, acaricides and adjuvent could be incorporated into the integrated M. persicae management system with A. colemani on greenhouse cultivation.
