According to the Korea Tectonic Map, the Korean Peninsula can be divided into seven tectonic units and each of them shows a peculiar deformation pattern. In order to estimate an amount of crustal deformation in the Korean peninsula, we obtained the velocity vector fields of South Korea by dealing with the data set of the years 2001 and 2002, measured from the permanent GPS stations across the country To obtain a relatively precise coordinate of each station, we used GAMIT that is a comprehensive GPS analysis package developed at MIT, Then, a Kalman filter called GLOBK is used to combine the results from GAMIT and to estimate the relative velocity vector for the crustal deformations. The crustal movement of South Korea is turned out to be about 1mm per year westward and about 0.6mm per year southward. In case of Suwon and Seosan(Gyeonggi Massif), the movement occurs slightly to the north-east direction. The movement of a relative velocity field in the tectonic unit is unidirectional, yet the magnitude of the velocity is very small.

Optimal collision avoidance algorithm for unmanned aerial vehicles based on proportional navigation guidance law is investigated this paper. Although proportional navigation guidance law is widely used in missile guidance problems, it can be used in collision avoidance problem by guiding the relative velocity vector to collision avoidance vector. The optimal navigation coefficient can be obtained if an obstacle if an obstacle moves at constant velocity vector. The stability of the proposed algorithm is also investigated. The stability can be obtained by choosing a proper navigation coefficient.
we motivate the of the velocity field of a fluid in three ways: from a calculation of the velocity of a rotating fluid relative to a coordinate system rotating with the fluid and from two calculations of a vector form of circulation in small circles or spheres suspended in a moving fluid.

Uncertainty analyses accompanied by the measurement of the velocity vectors in 3-D cavity flows are carried out. Twenty-one elemental errors are esimated or calculated according to the ANIS/ASME uncertainty analysis manual. Error components associater with the PIV(Particle Imaging Velocimetry) are reasonably small and the errors caused by the flow characteristics are fairly large, which confirm the reliability of the PIV measurement and also give good information to the planning phase of the experiment by discriminating the most critical parameter. The present study reveals that vector length expressed by pixels is the most influential. Calculated relative uncertainty for the all experimental conditions is ranging about 5-10% in terms of the representative velocity 0.5U. U is here the belt velocity on the cavity apparatus. Approximating equations to show the relative rss uncertainties are given and graphic representations are followed for the easier understanding of the uncertainty, existing in the velocity profiles of the cavity flow.
In this paper, The Frenet-Serret formula of classical geometric curve theory with the concept of a missile pointing velocity vector are used to analyze and design a missile guidance law. The capture capability of this guidance law is qualitatively studied by comparing the rotations of the velocity vectors of missile and target relative to the line of sight vector. when fuzzy Table look-up theory applied in target-missile distance & angle displacement, this research. It's performance is better then classical research.

In this paper, the radiation characteristics of a large circular loop antenna with sinusoidal current distribution is studded in a moving media with a constant velocity much less than the speed of light. The diameter of the circular loop antenna is comparable with or larger than wave length. In studing the radiation characteristics, vector potential for the antenna is derived and relative field pattern is plotted from the vector potentials. Finally the field patterns are compared with those of stationary media. It is found that maximum directivities are shifted to the direction of the velocity of the media, and the field intensities are decreased in that direction and increased in opposite direction by the velocity component paralell to the loop plane. It is also found that the deviations for the pattern are proportional to the velocity of the media, the frequency of the distributed current, the diameter of the loop antenna, and the daviation depends only upon the parallel component of the velocity to the loop plane.
Highly accurate surface velocity estimation using modern geodetic techniques plays very important role in the geological and geophysical interpretation. Researches with GPS are ongoing in many countries of the world. This study aims to estimate the amount of crustal deformation and the direction of deformation in the Korean Peninsula and in its neighbor. We used GAMIT that is a comprehensive GPS analysis package developed at MIT. Then, a Global Kalman filter called GLOBK is used to combine the results from GAMIT and to estimate the relative and absolute velocity vector for the crustal deformations. To estimate station velocity accuracy and reliably, it is extremely important to pay great attention to the reference frame. Firstly, using the Suwon (SUWN) of Eurasian plate as main frame, we estimate the relative amount of crustal deformation and a direction of Eurasian plate and North American plate, Secondly, using ITRF 2000 as main frame, we estimate the absolute crustal deformation of Eurasian plate and North American plate. The continent of Eurasian where has the Korean Peninsula deforms 33.36 mm per year to East-Southeast (ESE), and Japanese Tsukuba (TSKB) in North American plate deforms to South-Southwest (SSW). Finally, the Korean Peninsula is approaching the Japanese Island and the rate of horizontal crustal deformation between the Suwon and the Tsukuba is about 31.98 mm per year in the moving direction of N85.9oW (274.1o) for the past three years.

Kinematic and dynamic equations of open-loop mechanical systems are derived using the velocity transformation. The velocities of a link are defined by the velocities of the previous link and relative velocities between the links. The velocities and angular velocities are expressed with joint velocities and 6*1 velocity transformation vector. Using the velocity relations, recursive formula are derived and compared to the previous results. The derived recursive formula are modified and applied to the dynamic simulation of a vehicle. The computational efficiency of the vehicle simulation with the derived recursive formula is much enhanced.
This paper deals with establishing correspondent points of feature pints and sampling period when we estimate object motion parameters from image information of freely moving objects in space of gravity-free state. Replacing the inertial coordinate system with the camera coordinate system which is equipped within a space robot, it is investigated to be able to analyze a problem of correspond points from image information, and to obtain sequence of angular velocity $\omega$ which determine a motion of object by means of computer simulation. And if a sampling period ${\Delta}t$ is shortened, the relative errors of angular velocity are increased because the relative errors against moving distance of feature points are increased by quantization. In reverse, if a sampling period ${\Delta}t$ is lengthened too much, the relative error are likewise increased because a sampling period is long for angular velocity to be approximated, and we confirmed the precision that grows according to ascending of resolution.
