The aim of the present study was to evaluate a relative emission of image plate (IP) in computed radiography (CR) system by using relative sensitivity in film/screen methods. The characteristic curve was obtained by using the uniform aluminum 11-step wedge penetrometer. X-ray exposure factors on radiographic digital image were 50 kVp, 10 mAs. We adjusted zero of all parameter of algorithms (MUSICA) so proximate to raw data and applied to 200 of exposure class. Modeling on relative emission of IP are used IP without fading time and IP after 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours in the respective storage after X-ray exposure. The results of this study showed that the sensitivity point density at the measuring of relative sensitivity in CR was suited pixel values of the 2000 easy to relatively measure the characteristic curve and when relative sensitivity is decreased, the amount of light emitted from the image signal for generating was also decreased. In conclusion, the proposed method of measurement of relative sensitivity can be utilized to evaluate the quantity of relative emission of IP in CR system.
This study was conducted to develop the SWCC estimation equation using scaling technique, and to investigate relative sensitivity of the SWCC according to the soil water tension, for the four kinds of soil texture such as Sand [S], Sandy Loam [SL], Loam [L] and Clay Loam [CL]. The SWCC estimation equation of scale factor [${\Theta}sc$] (Eq. 1) was developed based on the log function (Eq. 2) and exponential function (Eq. 3). ${\Theta}sc=[({\Theta}-{\Theta}r)/({\Theta}s-{\Theta}r)]$ (Eq. 1) ${\Theta}sc=-0.196ln(H)+0.4888$ (Eq. 2) ${\Theta}sc=0.3804(H)^{(-0.448)}$ (Eq. 3) where, ${\Theta}$: water content (g/g %), ${\Theta}s$: water content at 0.1bar, ${\Theta}r$: water content at 15bar, H: soil water tension (matric potential) (bar) Relative sensitivity of soil water content was decreased as increase soil water tension, those according to soil water tension were 0.952~0.620 compared to 0.1bar case. Relative sensitivity of scale factor was also decreased as increase soil water tension, those according to soil water tension were 0.890~0.577 compared to 0.2bar case.

Previously it has been shown that the all pole systems resulting good time responses can be characterized by so called K-polynomial. The polynomial is defined in terms of the principal characteristic ratio $\alpha_1$ and the generalized time constant $\tau$ . In this paper, Part II presents several sensitivity analyses of such systems with respect to $\alpha_1$ and $\tau$ changes. We first deal with the root sensitivity to the perturbation of $\alpha_1$ . By way of determining the unnormalized function sensitivity, both time response sensitivity and frequency response sensitivity are derived. Finally, the root sensitivity relative to $\tau$ change is also analyzed. These results provide some useful insight and background theory when we select of and l to compose a reference model of which denominator is a K-polynomial, which is illustrated by examples.
Sand and dust storm in East Asia, so called Asian dust, is a seasonal meteorological phenomenon. Mostly in spring, dust particles blown into atmosphere in the arid area over northern China desert and Manchuria are transported to East Asia by prevailing flows. An Asian dust event occurred on 6-8 May 2007 is chosen to investigate how sensitive the Asian dust transport forecast to the initial condition uncertainties and to interpret the characteristics of sensitivity structures from the viewpoint of dynamics and predictability. To investigate the forecast sensitivities to the initial condition, adjoint sensitivities that calculate gradient of the forecast aspect (i.e., response function) with respect to the initial condition are used. The forecast aspects relevant to Asian dust transports are dry energy forecast error and lower tropospheric pressure forecast error. The results show that the sensitive regions for the dry energy forecast error and the lower tropospheric pressure forecast error are initially located in the vicinity of the trough and then propagate eastward as the surface low system moves eastward. The vertical structures of the adjoint sensitivities for the dry energy forecast error are upshear tilted structures, which are typical adjoint sensitivity structures for extratropical cyclones. Energy distribution of singular vectors also show very similar structures with the adjoint sensitivities for the dry energy forecast error. The adjoint sensitivities of the lower tropospheric pressure forecast error with respect to the relative vorticity show that the accurate forecast of the trough (or relative vorticity) location and intensity is essential to have better forecasts of the Asian dust event. Forecast error for the atmospheric circulation during the dust event is reduced 62.8% by extracting properly weighted adjoint sensitivity perturbations from the initial state. Linearity assumption holds generally well for this case. Dynamics of the Asian dust transport is closely associated with predictability of it, and the improvement in the overall forecast by the adjoint sensitivity perturbations implies that adjoint sensitivities would be beneficial in improving the forecast of Asian dust events.
Meteorological and flux data measured from semiarid watersheds (Lucky Hills and Kendall) during the summer rainy and winter periods were used to study the sensitivity of the those variables used in the estimation of evapotranspiration rates. Relative sensitivity was examined to compare the importance of four meteorological and flux variables (net radiation wind speed, air temperature, and relative humidity) on Penman potential evapotranspiration (PET) estimation. The study results show that variations in Penman PET rates during the summer rainy period at both watersheds appears to be controlled by air temperature adn net radiation. During the winter period at both watersheds, wariations in Penman PET rates appears to be controlled by relative humidity and air temperature.
The sensitivity of polymer-based capacitive relative humidity (RH) sensors after irradiation with neutrons, electrons and protons was measured. Degradation consists of the decreasing of the upper RH limit that can be measured. At the same time, low RH-level sensitivity is almost stable. After 30 krad of absorption dose, RH cut off is equal to 85% of max value, after 60 krad-40%. Degradation reduces after annealing which indicates high radiation sensitivity of the internal circuit in comparison to RH-sensing polymer film.

Objectives: This study examined the characteristics of patients according to nutritional status assessed by five nutritional screening tools: Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA), NUTRISCORE, Nutritional Risk Index (NRI), Prognostic Nutritional Index (PNI), and Controlling Nutritional Status (CONUT) and to compare the agreement, sensitivity, and specificity of these tools. Methods: A total of 952 gastric cancer patients who underwent gastrectomy and chemotherapy from January 2009 to December 2012 were included. The patients were categorized into malnutrition and normal status according to five nutritional screening tools one month after surgery. The Spearman partial correlation, Cohen's Kappa coefficient, the area under the curve (AUC), sensitivity, and specificity of each two screening tools were calculated. Results: Malnutrition was observed in 86.24% of patients based on the PG-SGA and 85.82% based on the NUTRISCORE. When NRI or CONUT were applied, the proportions of malnutrition were < 30%. Patients with malnutrition had lower intakes of energy and protein than normal patients when assessed using the PG-SGA, NUTRISCORE, or NRI. Lower levels of albumin, hemoglobin, total lymphocyte count, and total cholesterol and longer postoperative hospital stays were observed among patients with malnutrition compared to normal patients when NRI, PNI, or CONUT were applied. Relatively high agreement for NUTRISCORE relative to PG-SGA was found; the sensitivity was 90.86%, and the AUC was 0.78. When NRI, PNI, and CONUT were compared, the sensitivities were 23.72% for PNI relative to NRI, 44.53% for CONUT relative to NRI, and 90.91% for CONUT relative to PNI. The AUCs were 0.95 for NRI relative to PNI and 0.91 for CONUT relative to PNI. Conclusions: NUTRISCORE had a high sensitivity compared to PG-SGA, and CONUT had a high sensitivity compared to PNI. NRI had a high specificity compared to PNI. This relatively high sensitivity and specificity resulted in 77.00% agreement between PNI and CONUT and 77.94% agreement between NRI and PNI. Further cohort studies will be needed to determine if the nutritional status assessed by PG-SGA, NUTRISCORE, NRI, PNI, and CONUT predicts the gastric cancer prognosis.
A new method of calculating sensitivity coefficients of core characteristics relative to infinite-dilution cross sections has been developed. Conventional sensitivity coefficients are evaluated for the changes of effective cross sections which are dependent on individual models of core and cell. Therefore a correction has been derived to the conventional sensitivity coefficients based on the perturbation theory. The accuracy of the present method has been verified by comparing numerical results of sensitivity coefficients with a reference Monte-Carlo method.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of teachers' responsiveness on teachers' strategies of problem behavior guidance. Teachers' responsiveness variables consisted of acceptance, sensitivity, consistency, warmth and teachers' strategies of problem behavior guidance variables consisted of positive proactive strategies, positive reactive strategies, negative reactive strategies. Subjects were 151 early childhood teachers in Seoul and Chungcheungnam-do. The collected data were analyzed using simple regression and hierarchical multiple regression. The main results of this study were as follows. Teachers' acceptance, sensitivity, consistency, warmth were positively related to teachers' positive proactive strategies and positive reactive strategies of problem behavior guidance. On the other hand, teachers' warmth was negatively related to teachers' negative reactive strategies. As results of examining relative effects of teachers' responsiveness on positive proactive strategies of problem behavior guidance, the influential variables were warmth and acceptance. The relative effects of teachers'responsiveness on positive reactive strategies of problem behavior guidance, the influential variables were sensitivity and acceptance. The relative effects of teachers' responsiveness on negative reactive strategies of problem behavior guidance, the only influential variable was warmth.
W $O_{x}$-based semiconductor type thin film gas sensor was fabricated for the detection of N $O_{x}$ by reactive d.c. sputtering method. The relative oxidation state of the deposited W $O_{x}$ films was approximately compared by the calculation of the difference of the binding energy between Ols to W4 $f_{7}$2/ core level XPS spectra in the standard W $O_3$ powder of known composition. As the annealing temperature increased from 500 to 80$0^{\circ}C$, relative oxygen contents and grain size of the sputtered films were gradually increased. As the results of sensitivity ( $R_{gas}$/ $R_{air}$) measurements for the 5 ppm N $O_2$ gas, the sensitivity was 110 and the sensor showed recovery time as fast as 200 s. The other sensor properties were examined in terms of surface microstructure, annealing temperature, and relative oxygen contents. These results indicated that the W $O_3$ thin film with well controlled structure is a good candidate for monitoring and controlling of automobile exhaust.haust.t.t.t.
