It is well known that the accident of vehicles carrying hazardous materials incurs huge losses economically and socially. To detect and respond rapidly against the accident of a vehicle carrying hazardous materials, it is essential to estimate the relative navigation information between the forward tractor module and the backward trailer module of the vehicle reliably and accurately. In this paper, a precise relative positioning system based on GPS is designed, implemented, and evaluated as a prerequisite to design an effective relative navigation system for the vehicle carrying hazardous materials. An experiment using field-collected 10 Hz real GPS measurements showed that the designed relative positioning system achieves 22 cm accuracy within 15 epochs by float solutions. Also, it was found that cm-level integer solutions can be generated reliably after the quick convergence of float solutions.
The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) positioning has been widely used in geodesy, surveying, and navigation fields. RTK can benefit enormously from the integration of multi-GNSS. In this study, we develop a GPS/BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) RTK integration algorithm for long baselines ranging from 128 km to 335 km in South Korea. The positioning performance with GPS/BDS RTK, GPS-only RTK, and BDS-only RTK is compared in terms of the positioning accuracy. An improvement of positioning accuracy over long baselines can be found with GPS/BDS RTK compared with that of GPS-only RTK and that of BDS-only RTK. The positioning accuracy of GPS/BDS RTK is better than 2 cm in the horizontal direction and better than 5 cm in the vertical direction. A lower Relative Dilution of Precision (RDOP) value with GPS/BDS integration can obtain a better positional precision for long baseline RTK positioning.

There are several applications and error analysis methods using GPS(Global Positioning System) In most analysis positioning and timing errors are represented as the multiplication of DOP(Dilution Of Precision) and measurement errors, which are affected by the receiver and measurement type. Therefore, lots of DOPs are defined and used to analyze and predict the performance of positioning and timing systems. In this paper, the relationships between these DOPs are investigated in detail, The relationships between GDOP(Geometric DOP), PDOP(Position DOP) and TDOP(Time DOP) in the absolute positioning are de-rived. Using these relationships, the affect of clock bias is analyzed. The relationships between RGDOP(Relative DOP) and PDOP are also derived in relative positioning where the single difference and double dif-ference techniques are used. From the results, it is expected that using the common clock will give better performance when the single difference technique is used while the effects of clock is eliminate when the double difference technique is used. Finally, the error analyses of dual frequency receivers show that the narrow lane measurements give more accurate results than wide line of or L1. L2 independent measurements.
This paper presents a satellite relative navigation strategy for formation flying, which chooses an appropriate navigation algorithm according to the operating environment. Not only global positioning system (GPS) measurements, but laser measurements can also be utilized to determine the relative positions of satellites. Laser data is used solely or together with GPS measurements. Numerical simulations were conducted to compare the relative navigation algorithm using only laser data and laser data combined with GPS data. If an accurate direction of laser pointing is estimated, the relative position of satellites can be determined using only laser measurements. If not, the combined algorithm has better performance, and is irrelevant to the precision of the relative angle data between two satellites in spherical coordinates. Within 10 km relative distance between satellites, relative navigation using double difference GPS data makes more precise relative position estimation results. If the simulation results are applied to the relative navigation strategy, the proper algorithm can be chosen, and the relative position of satellites can be estimated precisely in changing mission environments.

Researches about 3-D Positioning system using GPS were carried out many-sided by national organs, laboratories, the worlds of science. And most of researches were development of relative positioning algorithm and its applications. Relative positioning has a merit, which can eliminate error in received signals. But its error increase due to distance of baseline. GPS absolute positioning is a method that decides the position independently by the signals from the GPS satellites which are received by a receiver at a certain position. And it is necessary to correct various kinds of error(clock error, effect of ionosphere and troposphere, multi-path etc.). In this study, results of PPP(Precise Point Positioning) used Bernese GPS software was compared with notified coordinates by the NGII(National Geographic Information Institute) in order to analyze the positional accuracy of permanent GPS sites. And the results were compared with results of AUSPOS - Online GPS Processing Service for comparison with relative positioning.
Although GNSS hardware and software technologies have been steadily advanced, it is still difficult to obtain reliable positioning results in the area with lots of signal blockage. In this study, algorithms for integrated GPS and GLONASS double difference relative positioning were developed and its performance was validated via simulations of signal blockages. We assumed that signal blockages are caused by high-rise buildings to the east, west, and south directions. And then, GPS-only and integrated GPS/GLONASS positioning accuracy was analysed in terms of 2-dimensional positioning accuracies. Compared with GPS-only positioning, the positioning accuracy of integrated GPS/GLONASS improved by 0.3-13.5 meters.

Relative positioning technique by GPS that can obtain the high positioning accuracy has been used for generation of high precision positioning with elimination or the reduction of the common errors. This paper gives some algorithms for RTK and considers the filter to estimate the positioning information and integer ambiguities at each epoch in the whole algorithms. The extended kalman filter has been employed to estimate the state parameters and the modified LAMBDA to resolve the integer ambiguities. The data processing was performed by GPS single frequency and dual frequency in short baseline. The verification procedure of these positioning compared with results from Bernese 5.0 software. We presented some statistic values on positioning errors and the rates of integer ambiguity resolution.

In this paper, a precise relative positioning with TD(time differenced) carrier phase measurements from a low-cost GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver is proposed and analysed. The proposed method is using carrier phase measurement from a single GNSS receiver that reference receiver is not required and stand alone positioning is possible. TD operation removes the troublesome integer ambiguity resolution problem, and if the time interval is short, other error, such as, ionospheric, tropospheric delay and ephemeris error are effectively eliminated. The error analysis of the proposed method shows that a precise and positioning with carrier phase is possible. The implemented system is evaluated using a real car experiments. The results show that the horizontal positioning error was less than 3m during 10 minutes experiments, which is 4 times more precise than the results of normal code based absolute positioning.

The ionospheric delay is the largest error source in GPS positioning after the SA effect has been turned off. The ionospheric error can be easily removed by using ionospheric-free combinations but it is only restricted for dual-frequency receivers. Therefore, in this study, the regional ionospheric grid model was developed for single-frequency receivers. The developed model was compared with GIM to validate its accuracy. As a result, it yielded RMSE of 3.8 TECU for 10 days. And L1 medium- and long-range relative positioning was performed to evaluate positioning accuracy improvements. The positioning accuracy was improved by 46.7% compared with that without any correction of ionosphere and troposphere and was improved by 14.5% compared with that only tropospheric correction.
This study attempted to identify relative evaluation to its attributes and improvement of consumer's demand in the Environment-Friendly Agricultural Products(EFAP). To identify the consumption patterns of EFAP, a series of household surveys were conducted for housewives residing in Seoul and its metropolitan area(Bundang and Ilsan). the sample size of the survey is 366 respectively. This study operated relative evaluation of EFAP by Multi-Demential Scales(MDS) about 10 attributes that this study set up. As the result, the consumers recognized that EFAP is "protection of ecosystem", "food safety", "good for growth of children", "high quality", and in case of conventional farming products is "inexpensive price", and "diversity of purchasing items". This trend has significant implications to the structure of EFAP output and how positioning strategies, and approaches should be properly formulated and implemented.
