Innovation becomes norm rather than exception in today's business, and accordingly firms are working on how to make their employees to work smarter using information systems and technologies. Smart work demands virtual collaboration and cooperation among team members in different places and different time. Sharing of knowledge among team members in these innovative activities are critical in every sense for the successful performance. This study explores the antecedents of knowledge sharing among team members in team-based innovation activities. Five factors (pleasure of knowledge sharing, self-efficacy, management support, rewards, and system usage) are identified through extant review of literature and an instrument is adopted and validated from previous studies. The instrument is adminitered against 138 individuals in and across 54 teams in a telecommunication firm. Except self efficacy, all the paths in the proposed research model is confirmed with different levels of relational coefficients towards the levels of knowledge sharing and innovation activities in teams. Surprisingly, findings indicate that intrinsic pleasure of sharing is most critical than management support, organizational rewards or system usage. This study fills the research gap in team management. Findings provide important implications for managing teams in coming virtual and smart environment.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to define and clarify the concept of reality shock in new graduated nurses. Methods: The hybrid model was used to develop the concept of reality shock. The model included a field study. The participants were 9 newly graduated nurses with a nursing career spanning less than a year. Results: The reality shock in newly graduated nurses was identified to have three dimensions and seven attributes. Specifically: 1) the dimension of performance included two attributes (conflict between theory and practice, and being overwhelmed by the workload), 2) the dimension of relationship included three attributes (loss of support, embarrassment from interference, and relational withdrawal), 3) the dimension of expectations included two attributes(value confusions and incongruity in personal life). Conclusion: Newly graduated nurses' reality shock was defined as a state of incongruence in their entire life that the new nurses experienced owing to value confusions that occurred due to the conflicts between theory and practice in an unfamiliar work environment, getting overwhelmed by the workload, and withdrawing establishing relationships with others due to the loss of support and excessive interference. These findings could help develop intervention strategies to decrease reality shock in newly graduated nurses.
Although spatial databases support an efficient spatial management on objects in the real world, they have a characteristic that process only spatial information valid at current time, So in case of change in the spatial domain, it is very hard to support an efficient historical management for time-varying spatial information because they delete an old value and then replace with new value that is valid at current time. To solve these problems, there are rapidly increasing of interest for spatiotemporal databases, which serve historical functions for spatial information as well as spatial management functions for an object. However most of them presented in an abstract time-varying spatial phenomenon, but have not presented a concrete policy in spatiotemporal databases. In this paper, we propose a spatiotemporal data model that supports bitemporal time concepts in three dimensional architecture. In the proposed model, not only data types and their operation for object of spatiotemporal databases have been classified, but also mathematical expressions using formal semantics for them have been given. Then, the data structures and their operations based on relational database model as well as object-oriented database model are presented.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to determine the fatigue, self-esteem, and depression of pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (G-DM), and to reveal associated factors of depression. Methods: As a descriptive correlation study, data was collected from 119 pregnant women with G-DM. Data was analysed using t-test, ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: Fatigue, self-esteem, and depression averaged $2.09{\pm}.62$ (range of scale 1~4), $2.63{\pm}.32$ (range of scale 1~6), and $0.45{\pm}.25$ (range of scale 0~3), respectively. The depression varied with a statistical significance according to the age (p=.008), employment (p=.014), child (p=.034), and physical and psychological adjustment of pregnancy (p<.001). We also identified fatigue as the most influencing factor and the physical and psychological adjustment of pregnancy as the second most influencing factor, self-esteem as the third, age as the fourth, and child as the influencing factor on the G-DM women's depression. Conclusions: This research provided a valuable opportunity to recognize G-DM as a personal, and societal problem, which calls for relational support as well as personal support. The healthcare providers need to recognize the emotional aspects of the women with G-DM, and make various efforts to promote the physical and psychological health of the G-DM patients.
Short videos are becoming more popular in mobile Internet age. Not only people's media consumption patterns have been changed by the rise of this new media form, but also it has posed challenges to public psychological well-being. For many netizens, their entertainment needs have been met by watching short videos. However, many side effects, such as addiction and anxiety, reduce users' subjective well-being instead of satisfying the entertainment motivation after watching short videos. Therefore, it has become a significant research problem in short videos to figure out how to get audiences to watch short videos on a regular basis while avoiding side effects like anxiety and addiction and improving audiences' subjective well-being. Based on the theory of Internet addiction, this study analyzed short video users using the 2×2×2 research method and explored the relationship between the length of use, addiction, anxiety, and subjective well-being of short video users. The results showed that short video users with different usage lengths showed significant differences in addiction, anxiety, subjective well-being, and online social support; innovative different short video users showed significant differences in addiction and anxiety, as well as a triadic relational interaction of short video users' anxiety under the interaction with self-efficacy and online social support. This study contributes to the advancement of internet addiction theory research and application, assisting short video users in avoiding addiction and anxiety, and improving the subjective well-being of short video users, thereby promoting the growth of the short video industry.
Can money buy happiness? If not, what are the factors that influence happiness? What makes people happy? What are the factors that influence happiness among Korean adults? How can we better explain factors that influence happiness? These are the research questions that led to the analyses of psychological, relational, financial resources that influence happiness. To examine differences in socio-economic status, adults and elderly from three different districts that vary wealth and income were interviewed in their own home. A total of 313 respondents (male=133, female=180) between the ages of 20 through 80 completed a questionnaire that contained background information, emotional support scale and happiness scale developed by the present researcher and resiliency of efficacy developed by Bandura(1995). The results are as follows. First, monthly income influence happiness to some extent, but when the variable was excluded from the path analysis, the goodness-of-fit did not change significantly. Although those who have more money can be happier, those without much money can also be happy. These results indicate that financial resource has limited influence on happiness. In addition, monthly income did influence self-efficacy of respondents indicating that those with more money were not necessarily more confident about themselves. Second, an important factor influencing happiness is the relational resource. Emotional support was the most powerful predictor of happiness, four to five times more important than monthly income. Third, self-efficacy influenced happiness. Those respondents with higher resiliency of efficacy had higher happiness scores and the influence was two times greater than monthly income. Moreover, self-efficacy played a mediating role between emotional support and happiness. Fourth, those respondents with higher occupational achievement reported higher happiness score and the influence was two times greater than monthly income. Fifth, success of children influenced happiness score and the influence was 1.5 times greater than monthly income. Sixth, education did not directly influence happiness, but had an indirect influence through self-efficacy and occupational achievement. Seventh, age was not related to self-efficacy and happiness.
As the core technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution is applied to drone, the potential for growth in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles is very large, and the utilization of civilian & military fields in the domestic & foreign is increasing rapidly. Because application areas of drone in the civilian field is various, it is excellent in terms of cost effectiveness and high value in utilization when it is used for military operation support mission. Especially, in the case of the Air Force, it is expected that military usage effectiveness will be high if drone replaces various air operations support missions such as aircraft inspection, supply of military supplies, base security. We find out the missions that can utilize drones for military operations support and propose the recommendation and data management plan accordingly. We recommend the most suitable drones and equipment that perform similar missions in the private sector and propose the data modeling of relational database.
The ratio of suicide among the elderly in Korea has nearly tripled within the last 20 years. With this in mind, this study examined the effects of social exclusion on depression and suicidal ideation among the elderly living in elderly-only households with a focus on gender differences. Social exclusion is composed of economic, health, housing, education, social participation, and relational aspects. For this study, data were gathered from 527 participants aged 65 years and over. The statistical methods used for data analysis were descriptive statistics, chi-square test, t-test, and hierarchical regression analysis with the SPSS Win 20.0 program. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, more than 80% of the elderly experienced social exclusion. Women were shown to be more vulnerable than men in terms of housing exclusion, educational exclusion, health exclusion, and multiple exclusion, whereas men were more vulnerable than women in terms of social participation exclusion. Second, social exclusion had significant effects on suicidal ideation among the Korean elderly. We also observed gender differences in the results. Regression analysis of suicidal ideation showed that relational exclusion had a significant effect on suicidal ideation in men, whereas health exclusion had a significant effect on suicidal ideation in women. Results of the study show that stronger social support networks and policies focusing on the elderly are needed in order to reduce elderly suicide in Korea.

Recently, there have been increased many 3 dimensional graphic applications in Internet. Thus, a growing number of methods have been proposed for retrieving 3-D graphic data using their 3D features such as color, texture, shape, and spacial relations. However, few researches focus on 3D graphic modeling and database storage techniques. In this paper, we introduce a system that can store 3D graphics data modeled by XML-based 3D graphics markup language, 3DGML, and support content-based retrievals on 3D data by using SQL. We also present a mapping technique of 3DGML to relational database. The mapping process includes the extraction of semantic information from 3DGML and translate it into relational format. Finally, we show examples of SQL queries which use the 3D information contained in a 3D scene such as objects, 3D features, descriptions and scene-object component hierarchy.

Because conventional spatial databases process the spatial information that is valid at current time, it is difficult to manage historical information efficiently which has been changed from the past to current. Recently, there are rapid increasing of interest to solve this problem so that makes databases to support historical information as well as spatial management at the same time. It can be eventually used in a various application areas. The formal semantics in a database is used to represent database structures and operations in order to prove the correctiveness of them in terms or mathematics. It also plays an important role in database to design a database and database management system. So in this paper, we suggest spatiotemporal domain, object, data, and spatiotemporal geometric/topological operations. And we not only formalize relational algebra/calculus using formal semantics for a spatiotemporal data model, but also show the example of real orld with them.
