고효율 저공해 열병합발전 하이브리드 시스템 개발 (Development of High Efficiency and Low Pollutant Cogeneration Hybrid System)

  • The importance of the more efficient cogeneration system is emphasized. Also the more clean energy is needed at recent energy system. The cogeneration system using Lean burn engine is more preferred to the system using Rich burn engine because of the electrical efficiency. Although the cogeneration system using Lean burn engine is economically preferred, because of the NOx emission level, the system using Rich burn engine with 3-way catalyst can only be used in Korea. The NOx regulation level is 50ppm at oxygen level 13%. The cogeneration hybrid system is consist of Lean burn gas engine, afterburner, boiler, economizer, DeNOx catalyst, combustion catalyst, absorption chiller, cooling tower and grid connection system. The system was accurately evaluated and the result is following ; 90% total efficiency, below 10ppm NOx, 50ppm CO, 25ppm UHC. The cogeneration hybrid system can meet the NOx level and exhaust gas regulation. It can achieve the clean combustion gas and efficient cogeneration system.

  • Recently, the semiconductor and display industries have tried to reduce the emissions of perfluorocompounds (PFCs) from the globally environmental regulation. Total amount of PFC emission can be calculated from the flow rate and the partial pressures of PFCs. For the precise measurement of PFC emission amount, the mass flow controlled helium gas was continuously injected into the equipment of which scrubber efficiency is being measured. The partial pressures of PFCs and helium were accurately measured using a mass spectrometer in each sample extracted from inlet and outlet of the scrubber system. The flow rates are calculated from the partial pressures of helium and also, PFC destruction and removal efficiency (DRE) of the scrubber is calculated from the partial pressure of PFC and the flow rate. Under this method, the relative expanded uncertainties of the flow rate and the partial pressures of PFCs are ± 2% (k = 2) in case the concentrations of NF3 and SF6 are as low as 100 μmol/mol.

증발가스 배출물 억제를 위한 자동차용 캐니스터의 3차원 유동장 해석 (Three-Dimensional Fluid Flow Analysis of Automotive Carbon Canister for Reducing Evaporative Emissions)

  • Minimized canister flow restriction and maximized flow uniformity are desired to maximize a purge capability. With the impending ORVR(On Board Refueling Vapor Recovery) systems, the reduction of restriction and increase of flow uniformity in a carbon canister becomes even more critical to meet the stringent regulation. In this study, three-dimensional numerical simulations have been performed to investigate the three-dimensional internal flow patterns in a carbon canister during purge. The effects of the declined angle of the purge pipe and the number of partitions on the pressure drop and purge efficiency in a carbon packed bed are examined. Results show that the purge efficiency and space velocity distribution are affected in the upstream region of 40% of total canister bed by porosity of carbon granule and angle of purge pipe. It is also found that the purge efficiency decreases with increasing the number of partitions.

외국인직접투자, 경제성장, 환경규제의 관계분석 : 규모효과와 기술효과를 중심으로 (The Linkage of Foreign Direct Investment, Economic Growth, and Environmental Regulations : Scale Effect and Technique Effect)

  • 본 연구는 목적은 내생적 환경정책모형(endogenous environmental policy)에 기초하여 외국인직접투자(foreign direct investment), 경제성장, 환경규제의 상호관계를 실증적으로 분석하는 것이다. 외국인자본비율의 1% 증가는 0.044%(고정효과), 0.047%(확률효과)의 경제성장효과를 유발하였으며, 노동자 1인당 생산량의 1% 증가는 2.038%(고정효과), 1.890%(확률효과)의 환경규제강화를 유도하는 것으로 계측되었다. 그러나 생산 과정에 있어 강력한 환경규제가 기술혁신의 유인으로 작용한다는 포터의 가설(Porter's theory)을 지지할 만한 실증결과는 보여주지 못하였다. 또한 2개의 대기오염물질 (NOx, $CO_2$)을 기준으로 규모효과(0.0119, 0.0172)가 기술효과(-0.0048, -0.0007)보다 크게 추정되었다. 이는 국제사회의 꾸준한 노력에도 불구하고 더욱 적극적인 환경보호를 위해 각국의 공공지출액을 증액시킬 필요성이 있음을 의미한다.

백합나무 판재의 VOCs 및 Aldehydes 방출특성 (Characteristics of Volatile Organic Compounds and Aldehydes Emission from Yellow poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera L.))

  • 백합나무 판재를 벽판재로 이용하기 위해 백합나무의 생재와 건조재에 대한 휘발성유기화합물(VOCs)과 알데히드류 방출 특성을 검토하였다. VOCs 및 formaldehyde를 포함한 aldehyde류의 방출량 측정은 다중이용시설 등의 실내공기질 관리법에 공시된 20 ${\ell}$ Chamber법에 따라 실시하였다. 백합나무의 생재 및 건조재에서는 30여 가지 이상의 VOCs가 검출되었다. 백합나무의 Total VOC 구성 비율 가운데 천연VOC (NVOC)의 비율은 11.1%로 다른 침엽수종과 비교하여 낮게 나타났다. 백합나무의 aldehyde류 분석 결과, 심재 및 변재에서 같은 3종(acetaldehyde, ketone, propionaldehyde)이 검출되었으며, formaldehyde의 방출량은 $4.01{\mu}g/m^3$ 이하로 나타났다. m-Tolualdehyde의 경우 백합나무 건조재의 심재에서만 $33.6{\mu}g/m^3$의 방출량을 보였으며, 심재와 변재 모두 ketone의 방출량이 가장 높게 나타났다. 백합나무 특유의 역한 냄새는 acetaldehyde와 propionaldehyde와 기타 VOCs에 의한 것으로 추정된다. 건조한 백합나무에서는 휘발성이 강한 ketone의 방출량이 증가하였다.

REC 명목가치 하락으로 인한 양적 통제장치로서의 RPS 왜곡 (REC Distortion as a Quantitative Control Policy due to REC Depreciation)

  • 2012년부터 재생에너지 확대 정책을 위한 주요 정책 수단으로서 채택하고 있는 신재생에너지 공급의무화 제도(RPS)는 발전원별 경쟁을 유도함과 동시에 정부의 재정부담을 줄일 수 있다는 명백한 장점을 가지고 있지만, 높은 가중치 및 국가 공급인증서(REC) 남용 등으로 양적 통제정책으로서의 정책 왜곡을 초래하였다. 이는, REC 인플레이션과 그에 상응하는 MWh 단위의 실질 신재생에너지발전 실적 하락으로 이어졌고, 그 결과 RPS 기간 전체 신재생 의무이행량의 27.8%가 실제로는 충족되지 못했음을 본고에서 최초로 밝힌다. 뿐만 아니라 현재의 REC 가치왜곡은 인접제도라고 할 수 있는 RE100과 온실가스 배출권거래제와의 상호호환이 불가능해지게 하는 문제도 초래한다.

남해 마산만 수질의 장기 변동 특성 (The Long-Term Variations of Water Quality in Masan Bay, South Sea of Korea)

  • 남해 마산만의 수질 장기 변동 특성을 파악하기 위해 3개 정점(표 저층수)에서 장기(2000~2012년) 관측된 영양염류 등의 주요 성분들의 자료를 분석하였다. 관측기간 동안 표층수에서 COD, DIN, DIP의 평균 농도는 각각 $2.70{\pm}0.09mg/L$, $19.66{\pm}1.84{\mu}m$, $1.39{\pm}0.13{\mu}m$이며, 저층수에서는 각 $2.22{\pm}0.07mg/L$, $18.53{\pm}1.36{\mu}m$, $1.47{\pm}0.12{\mu}m$이다. 표층수의 경우 전 계절에서 부영양(eutrophic) 단계 수준을 보이며, DIN의 농도는 8월부터 증가하기 시작하여 11월에 최대값에 도달한 후, 2월부터 감소하기 시작하여 5월에 최소값에 이르는 계절적 변동을 보인다. DIP와 DSi의 경우, 수온이 높고, 산소 농도가 낮은 8월의 저층수에서 가장 높았고, 2월이 가장 낮았다. 수질 성분들의 상관분석 및 요인분석 결과에 의하면, 표층수의 경우 담수유입에 따른 용존무기질소와 내부생산이 주요 요인이였고, 저층수는 용존산소의 변동과 이에 따른 DIP, DSi의 변동이 주요 요인으로 나타났다. 또한, 장기변동 분석결과에 의하면, '총량규제' 실시 이후(2007~2012년) 마산만의 DIN과 DIP 평균농도는 이전(2000~2006년)에 비해 각각 68.1~76.0%와 66.2~76.6% 감소한 것으로 나타나, 2007년 '총량규제' 실시와 이에 따른 오염저감 정책이 수질(특히 영양염) 개선에 큰 영향을 준 것으로 평가된다.

도로변 및 배경농도 측정망 PM10 자료를 이용한 노후 운행경유차 배출가스 저감사업 효과 해석 (Evaluation of Emission Reduction Program for In-use Diesel Vehicles Using PM10 Concentrations of Road-side and Background Monitoring Network)

  • Emission reduction program for in-use diesel vehicles (ERPDV) has been enacted since 2004 over the Seoul metropolitan area, and diesel emission reduction is forced to fulfill this regulation. This study was performed to evaluate the ERPDV using $PM_{10}$ concentrations of both road-side monitoring and national background network during the period of 2004-2010. In order to assess the pure road emission, we first eliminated the long range transport effect by deducting the trend of annual national background concentrations from the road-side $PM_{10}$ concentrations, and then analyzed the time series of the resultant $PM_{10}$ concentrations over Seoul metropolitan area. The annual rates of variations of road-side $PM_{10}$ with the deduction of trend of background level show -3.2, +0.4, and -2.4 ${\mu}g/m^3$/year, in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyonggi province, respectively. There are steadily decreasing trend in Seoul with all of statistic parameters such as mean, mediam, 5%ile, 10%ile, 25%ile, 75%ile, 90%ile, and 95%ile concentrations. Incheon shows some fluctuations with positive with no significant trend, and Gyonggi province shows overall decreasing but not consistent. Student-t test shows 95% significant level of ERPDV effect in Seoul, but there exists no significant level greater than 90% in both Incheon, and Kyonggi province. Total annual averaged trend over the whole Seoul metropolitan area is estimated to lie in approximately $-2.9{\mu}g/m^3$/year in this study, implying the intimate involvement of ERPDV to a large extent. This is also suggesting that the further research cost-effectiveness of ERPDV with consideration of the long range transport process would be needed over the Seoul metropolitan area.

150kW급 열병합발전 하이브리드 시스템 최적화 연구 (Optimization of 150kW Cogeneration Hybrid System)

Although the cogeneration system using Lean burn engine is economically preferred, because of the NOx emission level, the system using Rich burn engine with 3-way catalyst can only be used in Korea. The NOx regulation level is 50ppm at oxygen level 13%. The cogeneration hybrid system using Lean burn engine is up to be optimized because of the large amount of the extra-fuel at the after-burner system. The after-burner system at different concept was applied. The reduction time for the activation temperature of the DeNOx catalyst was achieved by making a hole between the combustor and boiler. Because of the lowered fuel consumption, the lowered temperature level was optimized by blocking the hole of the boiler The optimized cogeneration hybrid system consumes $76Nm^3/h$ LNG to produce 150kW electricity compared to before optimization $103Nm^3/h$ LNG. The system was accurately evaluated and the result is following ; 90% total efficiency, below 10 ppm NOx, 50ppm CO, 25ppm HC. The cogeneration hybrid system can meet the current NOx level and exhaust gas regulation. It can achieve the clean combustion gas and efficient cogeneration system.

배출권거래제 하에서 2단계 공급사슬에서 다품목의 통합재고모형 (An Integrated Multi-Product Inventory Model for a Two-Echelon Supply Chain under Cap-and-Trade Mechanism)

  • Currently many companies are interested in reduction of the carbon emissions associated with their supply chain activities such as transportation and operations. Operational decisions, such as modifications in order quantities could an effective way in reducing carbon emissions in the supply chain. Cap-and-trade regulation, sometimes called emissions trading, is a market-based tool to limit greenhouse gas emissions. Under cap-and-trade regulation, emission credits are allocated to the firms and the firms trades emissions under cap-and-trade schemes. In this paper, we propose a single-manufacturer single-buyer two-echelon supply chain problem under the cap-and-trade mechanism incorporating the carbon emissions caused by transportation and warehousing activities where a single manufacturer produces a family of items in order to deliver a family of items to a single buyer at a fixed interval of time for effective implementation of Just-In-Time (JIT) Purchasing. An integrated multi-product lot-splitting model of facilitating multiple shipments in small lots between buyer and manufacturer is developed in a JIT Purchasing environment. Also, an iterative heuristic algorithm is developed to derive the common order interval, the number of intervals for each product and the number of shipments between the buyer and the manufacturer during the common interval. A numerical example is given to illustrate the savings in reduction of total cost and carbon emissions by the inventory model incorporating cap-and-trade mechanism compared to the classical inventory model. The proposed inventory model could be useful for the practical solution of two-echelon supply chain inventory problem under cap-and-trade mechanism.
