소록도 국립병원에 입원중인 한센써병 환자 160명(남자 90명, 여자 70명)을 대상으로 Canon사 제품의 RK-3 Auto Ref-keratometer의 자동굴절 검안기를 이용하여 타각적 굴절검사를 실시한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 안경의 도움 없이 생활 할 수 있는 시력 0.7이상은 남자 44안 24.4% 여자는 19안 13.6%로 여자보다 남자에서 시력이 좋은 사람이 않았다. 안경의 도움 없이 정상생활이 불편한 시력 0.6 이하가 전체 80.3%를 차지하고 있고 0.3이하 약시 및 교정 불가능한 눈도 남자 80안(44.4%) 여자는 78안(55.7%)으로 조사되었다. 근시안은 119안(43.1%), 원시안은 139안(50.4%), 정시 안은 18안(6.5%)으로 조사되었다. 난시안은 남자 136안(86.6%) 여자 97안(81.5%)으로 않은 사람들이 난시를 동반하고 있었으며 이는 여자보다 남자가 높았다. 직난시가 37안(11.6%), 도난시가 81안(25.3%), 사난시가 115안(35.9%)순으로 사난시가 가장 많았고 난시안 233안중에서 49.4%가 사난시로 조사되어 환자가 아닌 일반 비정시 눈과는 반대로 분포하였다.

Single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) have been emerging out of the efforts to research human diseases and ethnic disparities. A semantic network is needed for in-depth understanding of the impacts of SNPs, because phenotypes are modulated by complex networks, including biochemical and physiological pathways. We identified ethnicity-specific SNPs by eliminating overlapped SNPs from HapMap samples, and the ethnicity-specific SNPs were mapped to the UCSC RefGene lists. Ethnicity-specific genes were identified as follows: 22 genes in the USA (CEU) individuals, 25 genes in the Japanese (JPT) individuals, and 332 genes in the African (YRI) individuals. To analyze the biologically functional implications for ethnicity-specific SNPs, we focused on constructing a semantic network model. Entities for the network represented by "Gene," "Pathway," "Disease," "Chemical," "Drug," "ClinicalTrials," "SNP," and relationships between entity-entity were obtained through curation. Our semantic modeling for ethnicity-specific SNPs showed interesting results in the three categories, including three diseases ("AIDS-associated nephropathy," "Hypertension," and "Pelvic infection"), one drug ("Methylphenidate"), and five pathways ("Hemostasis," "Systemic lupus erythematosus," "Prostate cancer," "Hepatitis C virus," and "Rheumatoid arthritis"). We found ethnicity-specific genes using the semantic modeling, and the majority of our findings was consistent with the previous studies - that an understanding of genetic variability explained ethnicity-specific disparities.

균일 분포 횡하중이 작용하는 격자형 구조물의 극한 해석법의 개발에 대한 이전의 연구(참고문헌 1과 5)를 검증해 보았고, 붕괴 이론에 있어서 면내력의 영향을 고찰 하였다. 논문의 주된 내용은 최소 중량과 최소 비용을 갖는 격자형 구조물의 최적설계법을 개발하였고, Pareto 해석법을 적용하여 다목적 함수를 갖는 구조물에서 최적 절충해를 구하는 최적화 기법을 소개하였다.

A high power deep-water sonar transducer of FFR (Free Flooded Ring) type has been designed using a coupled FE-BEM. The present sonar transducer is composed of rectangular piezoelectric ceramics and pie-shaped steels (or the advantage of simple fabrication. The dynamics of the sonar transducer is modelled in three dimensions and is analyzed with external electrical excitation conditions. Different results are available such as steady-state frequency response for TX and RX displacement modes, directivity patterns, back-scattering patterns, bandwidths, transmitting voltage responses and receiving sensitivity responses. The TV response shows a very high acoustic pressure of 150 dB/lV (ref $1{\mu}Pa$ at 1m) at 1900 Hz. This ultra high power response of the sonar transducer indicates a new possibility of the sonar transducer development.

In the present study, we demonstrate that SRM LC-MS/MS method developed by Luo et al. (ref. 10) can be successfully applied to the quantitative analysis of intracellular metabolites in E. coli that are collected at the exponential and stationary growth phases. A focus is given on measuring the changes in the concentrations of intracellular metabolites in batch cultures, which were induced during both the dynamically changing exponential and stationary growth phases. The following intracellular metabolites are quantified in the exponential and stationary phases of E. coli growth, using the SRM mode of a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer: glucose-1-phosphate, fructose-1,6-bisphosphate, phosphoenolpyruvate, pyruvate, acetyl-coenzyme A, 6-phosphogluconate, ribulose-5-phosphate, xylulose-5-phosphate, erythrose-4-phosphate. The determined intracellular metabolite concentration profiles are shown to be in a good agreement with the growth profiles of E. coli, which clearly indicates that SRM LC-MS/MS can be successfully used for following the metabolite changes induced at different growth stages.

The KN-12 transport cask has been designed to transport 12 PWR spent nuclear fuel assemblies and to comply with the regulatory requirements for a Type B(U) package. The containment boundary of the cask is defined by a cask body, a cask lid, lid bolts with nuts, O-ring seals and a bolted closure lid. The containment vessel for the cask consists of a forged thick-walled carbon steel cylindrical body with an integrally-welded carbon steel bottom and is closed by a lid made of stainless steel, which is fastened to the cask body by lid bolts with nuts and sealed by double elastomer O-rings. In the cask lid an opening is closed by a plug with an O-ring seal and covered by the bolted closure lid sealed with an O-ring. The cask must maintain a radioactivity release rate of not more than the regulatory limit for normal transport conditions and for hypothetical accident conditions, as required by the related regulations. The containment requirements of the cask are satisfied by maintaining a maximum air reference leak rate of $2.7{\times}10^{-4}ref.cm^3s^{-1}$ or a helium leak rate of $3.3{\times}10^{-4}cm^3s^{-1}$ for normal transport conditions and for hypothetical accident conditions.

Objective: It aimed at proposing the Korean Journal of Child Studies' strategy to be promoted to international journal based on the style and format of scholarly journals and journal metrics. Methods: The review of the journal in not only print version, but also an online version was done from the perspective of style and format. The total citation and impact factor were manually calculated from Web of Science Core Collection. Results: More professional level manuscript editing is required for maintaining the consistency of the style and format. The verso page and back matters should be improved to international level. Journal homepage should be reconstructed by adopting digital standards for the journal, including journal article tag suite, CrossMark, FundRef, ORCID, and text and data mining. To become an international journal, transformation into English journal and deposition to PubMed Central is mandatory. Conclusion: Since the editor's and society members' performance is top-notch, it will be possible to promote the journal up to international level soon. Society should guarantee the term of editor for enough time and support her with full cost and complete consent.

Cited-by Linking 서비스는 CrossRef에서 제공하는 주요 서비스 중 하나로 해당 논문이 DOI를 통하여 얼마나 인용되었는지 누적하여 집계된 데이터이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 KISTI의 학술정보통합관리시스템에서 월단위로 구축 관리하는 Cited-by Linking 데이터를 분석하여 자연과학과 공학 분야의 인용 패턴을 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해서 전체 기탁된 21만 건 중 자연과학과 공학 분야 총 170,999건(315종)을 분석 대상으로 하고, 2016년 3월까지 누적된 Cited-by Linking 데이터를 수집하였다. 연구의 분석 결과, 첫째, 글로벌하게 인용될 가능성에서 사용 언어는 영향을 미치고 있으며, 둘째, SCIE 및 SCOPUS 등재 여부 역시 인용가능성에 상당 부분 기여하고 있음을 확인하였다. 셋째, 자연과학 분야는 거의 동일한 주제 분야에서 인용을 받고 있으며, 상대적으로 공학 분야는 타주제 분야에서 더 인용 받고 있음을 파악하였다. 이러한 연구의 결과는 자연과학과 공학 분야의 세부주제 분야별 인용 행태를 규명하고, 향후, 인용 행태에 관한 연구에서 유용하게 활용될 것으로 기대한다.

The objective of this research is to determine generally applicable design principles for the development of internally staged combustion devices. Utilizing a triple annulus combustor, the detailed combustion characteristics are studied. For this triple air staged combustor, the angular momentum weighted by it#s swirl number and air distribution ratio was observed to be the critical criteria of NOx emission. An internal recirculation zone which develops on the centerline of the flame immediately downstream of the burner entraps the fuel into a fuel rich eddy. Then sufficient heat must be transferred from the flame via radiation to the chamber heat transfer surfaces, such that the peak flame temperatures are suppressed when the second air is introduced. It is experimentally found out that the total NOx emission level in this type of burner is below 50ppm(3% Ref. O2) at optimum operating conditions.

The food service industry has grown up without an affection of economic collapse, and its kinds are being diversified and focused on many different aspects from physical taste to many other elements such as atmosphere, service quality, sanitation and etc.. Now it appeals to even familiarity. These Facts are well ref looted to Family Restaurant which has not been very popular so far, but now it takes its space in the market, and its management system is being introduced to other countries. The purpose of this study is to see how to satisfy them to make maximum business profit, and one possibility is "incentive". To accomplish research, theoretical and practical studies have been done and surveys have taken placed for substantial studies. The subjects were limited to employees in Family Restaurant in Seoul from February 20th to March 20th, 2001. Data, reliableness, and propriety were analyzed by SAS(Statistical Analyzed System). Sampling mode was randomness, and validation mode was limited to 223 papers. The followings are the results of this analysis First, Satisfaction of incentive were made by stability, impartiality and suitability regardless difference on companies, ages, departments, and authority of an employees. Second, Satisfaction on incentive for employees in Family Restaurants were not well received. Although these necessary demand, there is not yet incentive system operation to most of business. Especially, it is not even studied on Family Restaurants. This study should have been studied on more customers and spotted employees to be objective. It is strongly recommended to do this study without limitation and further studies is considered on this subjects.
