기포유동층에서 케미컬루핑 연소시스템을 위한 신규 산소전달입자들의 환원반응성 비교 (Comparison of Reduction Reactivity of New Oxygen Carriers for Chemical Looping Combustion System in a Bubbling Fluidized Bed)

  • Reduction reactivity of new oxygen carriers for chemical looping combustion system were investigated using $CH_4$ as a reduction gas in a bubbling fluidized bed reactor and compared with that of former SDN70 oxygen carrier. New oxygen carriers showed good reduction reactivity at different $CH_4$ concentration. N018-R2 particle represented better reactivity than SDN70 at high $CH_4$ concentration. N018-R2 particle showed higher fuel conversion and $CO_2$ selectivity than those of SDN70 particle within the temperature range of $750-900^{\circ}C$. Moreover, attrition loss of N018-R2 particle was almost same with that of SDN70 particle. Consequently, we could select N018-R2 particle as the best oxygen carrier.

생압고철의 맞춤형 장입을 통한 용해에너지 절감 (Reduction of Melting Energy by Customized Charging of Press Scrap)

  • 거의 모든 철계 주조공장은 생압고철 (press scrap)을 주 장입재로 사용한다. 본 연구에서는 생압고철의 형상, 크기를 최적화하여 용해에너지를 절감하고자 하였다. 주조공장 두 곳의 3t/h 중주파 유도용해로를 활용하여 실험하였다. 개선 조건의 경우, 초기 장입 시에는 맞춤형 생압고철을 사용하였고, 추가 장입 시에는 소형 생압고철을 사용하였다. 개선 조건의 에너지 절감 효과를 높이기 위해, 회수철 표면의 청정화 공정을 강화하여 실시하였다. 개선 조건에 의한 용해에너지 원단위 (melting energy basic unit) 절감률은 두 주조공장에서 각각 23.3, 23.9%였고, 거의 유사하였다. 원단위 수준이 다른 두 곳의 주조공장 모두에서 개선 조건은 매우 효과적이었다. 개선 조건의 에너지 절감 원리 및 경제적 효과를 기술하였다.

Fault Diagnosis for Agitator Driving System in a High Temperature Reduction Reactor

  • In this paper, a preliminary study for development of a fault diagnosis is presented for monitoring and diagnosing faults in the agitator driving system of a high temperature reduction reactor. In order to identify a fault occurrence and classify the fault cause, vibration signals measured by accelerometers on the outer shroud of the agitator driving system are firstly decomposed by wavelet transform (WT) and the features corresponding to each fault type are extracted. For the diagnosis, the fuzzy ARTMAP is employed and thereby, based on the features extracted from the WT, the robust fault classifier can be implemented with a very short training time - a single training epoch and a single learning iteration is sufficient for training the fault classifier. The test results demonstrate satisfactory classification for the faults pre-categorized from considerations of possible occurrence during experiments on a small-scale reduction reactor.

그린홈사업을 위한 신재생에너지 기술의 경제적 타당성 평가 (Economic Feasibiltiy Analysis of Renewable Energy of Green Home Policy)

  • Korean government decided to give a subsidy for renewable energy system of green home. This policy will make an appeal to consumers. But For success of this policy, Economic benefit of consumer is essential. In this study, benefit and cost is seperated to consumer part and government part, respectively. consumer's benefit is energy saving and asset value increment. Consumer's cost is real input money except government's subsidy. Government's benefit is consist of energy import reduction, carbon discharge reduction and new production increment, As a result, the government subsidy will not so enough to activate the green home. PV system for the korean general apartment has the payback period of 19 years. So, For the dissemination of renewable energy of green home, more strong subsidy policy and more economic technoloy development is requested.

  • 본 연구에서는 회전원판 장치를 사용하여 난류 유동장에서의 고분자에 의해 유도되는 마찰저항 감소효과에 대하여 조사하였다. 해양온도차 발전에서 해수를 이동시키는 유동장은 난류상태로 이러한 난류계에 대하여 마찰저항 감소는 충분한 적용가치가 있다. 네가지의 분자량이 다른 PEO를 마찰저항 첨가제로, 실험실에서 제조한 인공해수를 용매로 사용하여 고분자의 분자량, 고분자의 농도와 원판의 회전속도와 괌이 마찰저항 감소효과에 영향을 줄 수 있는 여러 인자들에 대해서 살펴보았다. 마찰저항 감소의 농도의존성은 Virk의 Universal correlation를 따르는 것을 확인하였다. 해수에서도 PEO와 용매간의 Universal 곡선이 증류수를 용매로 하였을 때와 동일함을 확인하였다.

Electrocatalytic Effects for the Reduction of Thionyl Chloride in $Li/SOCl_2$ Cell Containing Schiff Base Metal(II) Complexes

  • Electrocatalytic effects for the reduction of thionyl chloride in $LiAICI_4/SOCl_2$ electrolyte solution containing Schiff base M(II) (M; Co and Fe) complexes are evaluated by determining kinetic parameters with cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry at a glassy carbon electrode. The charge transfer process during the reduction of thionyl chloride is affected by the concentration of the catalyst. The catalytic effects are demonstrated from both a shift of the reduction potential for the thionyl chloride toward a more positive direction and an increase in peak currents. Catalytic effects are larger in thionyl chloride solutions containing the binuclear [M(II) $_2$ (TSBP)] complex rather than mononuclear [M(II)(BSDT)] complexes. Significant improvements in the cell performance have been noted in terms of both thermodynamics and activation energy for the thionyl chloride reduction. The activation energy calculated from the Arrhenius plots is 4.5-5.9 kcal/mole at bare glassy carbon electrodes. The activation energy calculated for the catalyst containing solution is 3.3-4.9 kcalmole, depending on whether the temperature is lowered or rasied.

  • Global energy demand has continued to rise due to population increase and economic development. National governments and international bodies try to seek the ways to reduce the demand growth. Energy Technology Perspectives (ETP) have provided the current status of energy system, technology developments and external events that have changed ETP scenario since 2006. The status and prospects for key energy technologies of transport sector are presented. Technology portfolio for the transport sector should be needed to meet very low CO2 targets. The portfolio includes improved fuel economy of current internal combustion engine vehicles, advanced technologies such as electric and fuel-cell vehicles, advanced biofuels and demand-side management.
