일욕 정련 염색에 따른 정련성 및 염색성 연구 (A Study on the Scouring Effect and Dye-ability of Cotton Scoured and Dyed in A Single-bath)

  • The advantage of enzyme scouring over alkali scouring is that the enzymatic process can be carried in a neutral pH, resulting in less damage on the fibers and a drastic reduction of wastewater. Since the pH of scouring bath is neutral, dyeing can be carried in the same bath. Four different types of scouring and dyeing in a single-bath were performed in this work: continuous scouring and dyeing in one-bath I and II, simultaneous scouring and dyeing in one-bath I and II. The difference between process I and II is the existence of an after-treatment process in the scouring. Dyeing was performed with three major colors(red, blue, yellow) and black to investigate the dye-ability. The absorbency of scoured and dyed fabrics was measured using gravimetric absorbency testing system. The fabric weight loss was measured after the treatment. Although the color depth for the three major colored fabrics treated in a single-bath was lower than the fabric scoured and dyed separately, the fabrics dyed with black did not show much difference. In addition, the absorbency of fabric treated in a single-bath was higher than the fabric treated separately.

백굴채 추출물을 이용한 염색직물의 염색성 및 기능성 (The Dyeing Properties and The Functionality of Fabrics Dyed with Chelidonium Majus Extract)

  • This study was aimed to find whether the Chelidonium majus which grows naturally in Korean soil and has a various medical ingredient is valuable as a natural dyeing material and to examine the functionality of Chelidonium majus extract. As the test result of dyeing colorfastness, colorfastness to sunlight was 1st grade for all the dyed fabrics. The colorfastness to laundry for discoloration showed from 1st to 4th grade and that for discoloration showed from 4th to 5th grade through all the dyed fabrics. Colorfastness to perspiration, rubbing, and drycleaning showed from 4th to 5th grade through all the dyed fabrics. In the result of antibiosis test, the dyed cotton fabric showed the bacteria reduction rate of 99.0% for Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli evenly when washed one, three, and five times, The dyed silk fabric, when washed one, three, and five times, showed the bacteria reduction rate of 99.0% for Staphylococcus aureus, but didn't showed the significant bacteria reduction. As the test result of sun protection test, in the case of the cotton fabric which was dyed but don't use mordant, after one-time washing, S.P.F.(Sun Protection Factor) showed 20.4, the interception rate of UV-A showed 94.3%, and that of UV-B showed 95.2%. After five-time washing, S.P.F. showed 14.3, the interception rate of UV-A showed 90.0%, and that of UV-B showed 93.2%. In the case of the silk fabric which was dyed but don't use mordant, after one time washing, S.P.F. showed 30.5, the interception rate of UV-A showed 95.9%, and that of UV-B showed 96.9%, after five-time washing, S.P.F. showed 31.0, the interception rate of UV-A showed 95.6%, and that of UV-B showed 96.7%.

  • In order to make a supermicrofiber fabric with PET/co-PET sea-island type filament fiber, the optimum conditions of dissolution of co-PET composite filament fiber was examined. The data set was made at various organic acid concentration and steam temperature with treated time as a main variable. At the same time, the microstructure changes by organic acid treatment of sea-island type PET supermicrofibers were monitored by thermal analysis morphology, DSC thermgrams and SEM images. Weight reduction behavior of supermicrofibers by caustic treatment was investigated in a comparative method. The termination of dissolution was also confirmed using DSC thermgrams and SEM images.

느릅나무 껍질 추출액에 의한 섬유의 염색성 및 항균성 (Dyeability and Antibacterial Activity of the Fabrics with Elm-Bark Extracts)

  • The purpose of this study is searching the Elm-Bark dyes' dyeability and antibacterial activities according to the dyeing time, pH, a mordant and the method of mordancy. We used two kinds of Elm-Bark dyes which's extracted by the Electrolytic reduction water and Distilled water. Silk fabric and Cotton/nylon union fabric was used for this study. The results are as follow. K/S value is increased according to the dyeing time and the suitable pH level is pH 3. Dyeability is good with Iron(II) sulfate$(FeSO_4\cdot{7H}_2O)$ on the pre-mordancy and Potassium dichromate$(K_2Cr_2O_7)$ on the post-mordancy. The Elm-Bark dyes by the Electrolytic reduction water has good colorfastness more than by the Distilled water. Antibacterial activities is excellent and the ratio is over than 99.5%.

인디고 염색을 위한 친환경 환원공정 개발: 한세눌라 균주의 이용 (Development of Eco-friendly Reduction Process for Indigo Dyeing : Using Hansenula misumaiensis Strain)

  • The aim of this study is to develop an eco-friendly reduction process of indigo as an alternative choice. Hansenula misumaiensis was used and their reducing activity toward synthetic indigo as well as natural indigo was estimated by dyeing test in terms of indigo dye uptake. The changes in K/S value and pH were monitored on the time-based measurements. Also, reduction duration was evaluated. On the basis of the results described in this study, it was confirmed that Hansenula misumaiensis reduced indigo. Reducing power of Hansenula misumaiensis reached to maximum in two days. It can be possible to develop eco-friendly process of indigo reduction using Hansenula misumaiensis by the optimization of strain culture conditions and the optimization of reduction conditions.

폴리에스테르직물의 알칼리욕에서의 Carrier염색 (Carrier Dyeing of Polyester Fabrics in Alkaline Dyebath)

  • The optimum carrier concentrations were obtained by the maxmium exhaustion ratios of polyester fabrics at 8$0^{\circ}C$ . The optimum concentrations of methylsalicylate, acetophenone, anisole, propiophenone, 2-ethyl hexyl alcohol, ethylene glycol and propylene glycol were $3g/\ell,\;12g/\ell,\;7g/\ell,\;5g/\ell,\;3g/\ell,\;35g/\ell,\;and\;40g/\ell$, respectively Azo, anthraquinone, and quinoline disperse dyes were quite stable up to PH 10.3, but nitro disperse dye were severely hydrolyzed in alkaline dyeing. The tensile strength decreased with increasing dyebath pH because the polyester fabrics were easily decomposed by alkali. The reduction cleaning could be canceled in alkaline dyeing because the carriers were solved by alkali during dyeing.

봉숭아 추출액의 염색성과 염색물의 항균성에 관한 연구 (Dyeability and Antibacterial Activity of the Fabrics Using Balsamine Extracts)

  • Dyeing liquor was extracted from flowers, leaves and stems of balsamine. Dyeing properties, colorfastness and antibacterial activities of the fabrics dyed with the balsamine extracts were investigated at a variety of dyeing conditions of differing pH. time and temperature. Wool, silk and nylon fabrics showed better dyeability than cellulosic fabrics, i.e. cotton, linen and rayon. Especially, nylon fabrics showed the highest K/S values. The dye-uptake was achieved to the highest degree during the first ten minutes of dyeing procedure. All fabrics were dyed well at $40^\circ{C}$ with no pH adjustment. The pH of unadjusted balsamine extracts was 4.6. Their colorfastnesses to washing, drycleaning and perspiration were good as 4 or 4-5 grade. but the light fastnesses were poor as 1-2 grade. While, the antibacterial activities to Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniae were excellent with 99.9% of colonies reduction ratio. Their excellent antibacterial activity was kept well after ten times washing.

키토산 처리포의 괴화 천연염색에 관한 연구(I) (The Effect of Chitosan Treatment of Fabrics on the Natural Dyeing using Japanese Pagoda Tree (I))

  • Cotton fabric md nylon fabric were chosen as base fabric specimens for dyeing using Japanese pagoda tree colorants through chitosan, treatment. With the chitosan treatment, the dye-uptake of the treated fabric increased. This treatment is also expected to be effective in terms of environment-friendliness. The effect of the dyeing methods, mordanting or non-mordanting, and chitosan treatment on the dye-uptake and air permeability of the treated fabrics was investigated. In case of cotton fabric, Al mordanted dyeing resulted in higher dye-uptake through the chitosan treatment. Therefore, the chitosan treatment is effective in this case. Japanese pagoda tree seems to have direct affinity for nylon fabric without the mordanting treatment. In case of cotton fabric, it seems that the cellulose molecules, colorants, and the chitosan make a complex, thereby reducing the air permeability. In case of nylon fabric, due to the fact the Japanese pagoda tree colorant molecules form direct physical bonding with the nylon molecules, it seems that there is not much of air permeability reduction.

설파제를 이용한 청색 항균 산성염료의 합성 및 나일론 소재에 대한 적용 (Synthesis of Blue Acid Dyes having Antimicrobial Property and its Application on Nylon Fiber)

  • Sulfadiazine and silver sulfadiazine are well-known bactericidal agent routinely used clinical settings. Antimicrobial acid dyes were synthesized by introducing sulfadiazine or silver sulfadiazine and applied on nylon fabric. The Chemical Structure of the Synthesized dyes was identified by HPLC-mass. The dyeability of synthesized acid dyes for nylon fabric was similar to commercial acid dyes. Resistance to washing, rubbing and lightfastness were good. Nylon fabrics dyed with synthesized acid dyes had good antimicrobial properties. Durable antimicrobial properties after 20 times washing have shown good result that reduction ratio of colonies, is 99.9 %. Mixed dyeing were carried out using commercial acid dyes(leveling type) and synthesized dyes. The mixed dyeings have also shown good antimicrobial properties.
