Purpose: Retention and infiltration of small and frequently-occurring rainfall by LID facilities account for a large proportion of the annual precipitation volume. Based on 4 standard facilities such as Porous Pavement, Infiltration Trench, Cylindrical Infiltration Well, Rectangular Infiltration Well by Seoul Metropolitan Handbook of the Prior Consultation for LID. The total retention volume of each facility was calculated according to the type and size. The Purpose of this study is to find out the quantitative relationship between Percentile Rainfall Event and Design Volume of Infiltration Facilities. Methode: For the estimation of Percentile Rainfall Event, Daily Precipitation of Seoul from 2005 to 2014 was sorted ascending and the distribution of percentile was estimated by PERCENTILE spreadsheet function. The managed Rainfall Depth and Percentile of each facility was calculated at the several sizes. In response to the rainwater charge volume of 5.5mm/hr by the Category "Private large site", the 3 types of facilities were planned for example. The calculated Rainfall Depth and Percentile were 54.4mm and 90% by the use of developed Calculation-Module based on the Spreadsheet program. Result: With this Module the existing Designed Infiltration volume which was introduced from Japan was simply converted to the Percentile-Rainfall-Event used in USA.

Experimental and numerical investigations were conducted to identify the wake characteristics downstream of two vane-type vortex generators over laminar flat plate boundary layer. Experimental study was carried out by using the stereoscopic particle image velocimetry. To describe the flow field around the vortex generator in detail, numerical study was performed. We considered two different planform shapes of vortex generator: triangular and rectangular shape. The height of the generator was chosen to be about the boundary layer thickness at the position of its installation. Two different lengths of the generator were chosen: two and five times the height. Wake measurements were carried out at three angles of attack for each configuration. Wake characteristics for each case such as overall vortical structure, vorticity distribution, and location of vortex center with downstream distance were obtained from the PIV data. Wake characteristics, as expected, were found to vary strongly with the geometry and angle of attack so that no general tendency could be deduced. Causes of this irregular tendency were explained by using the results of the numerical simulation.

The construction of a moment connection for a rectangular hollow section (RHS) column and a H-shaped beam is difficult because the RHS is a closed section. When a inner diaphragm is used for such a connection, in general, it is installed after cutting the HSS columns, which results in increased construction work. This paper suggests a new fabrication method to overcome such problems: An inner diaphragm is welded to inside a C-shaped section first, and then a column is fabricated by welding two C-shaped sections. This fabrication method is superior to a classic method in terms of constructibility. An experimental and a numerical study using Ansys 9.0 were performed in order to compare the strength of connections with respect to the presence of concrete, the corner shape of diaphragm, and the axis of loading. The experimental results including initial stiffness and ultimate loads are reported and the analytical results including load transfer mechanism, degree of stress concentration, and strain distribution are also reported.
The present numerical study was performed to determine how the two perforated baffles( Inclined angle=$5^{\circ}$; perforation diameter=2cm) placed at a rectangular duct affect heat transfer and associated friction factors. The parametric effects of perforated baffles(3, 6 and 12 holes) and flow Reynolds number ranging from 28,900 to 61,000 on the heated target surface are explored. As for the investigation of heat transfer behaviours on the local Nusselt number with two baffles placed at $x/D_h=0.8$ and $x/D_h=0.8$ of the edge baffles, it is evident that the average Nusselt number increases with increasing number of holes, but the friction factor decreases with an increase in the hole number placed at baffles. The numerical results by commercial code CFX 10.0 are confirmed with the experimental data.

According to researchers, the influential factors of scouring are generally divided into three factors: the flow conditions, the type and position of structures, and the characteristics of bed materials. In addition, scouring is affected by the 3-dimensional turbulent boundaries, the unsteady flow, the movement of sediment in the scour-hole area, the approach flow velocity and depth, the width of bridge foundation/pier, and the particle size of bed materials. However, it is difficult to estimate the scour depth near bridge piers when all conditions are factored in at once. Therefore, for reasonably accurate estimates of scour depth, it is essential to consider sufficiently the flow force and resisting force for scour. That is, to determine the shear stress concerning the bed material distribution is needed. In this study, the experiments were performed under the condition of a steady state of flow. As a result, scouring occurred at velocity ratios of 0.476,$(V/V_c=0.476)$, and the scour depth was increased linearly as the velocity ratio increased. in addition, the average values of shear stress ratio at zero scouring depth in both rectangular and circular piers were approximately 7$(\tau_c/\tau_{approach})$ and in the case for same size bed particle material. The results of this study can be used for the fundamental material for estimating the scour depth of bed materials.

DC magnetron discharges were studied using three-dimensional self-consistent particle-in-cell and Monte Carlo collisional (PIC-MCC) simulation codes. Two rectangular sputter sources (120 mm * 250 mm and 380 mm * 200 mm target sizes) were used in the simulation modeling. The number of incident ions to the Cu target as a function of position and simulation time was obtained. The target erosion profile was calculated by using the incident ions and the sputtering yields of the Cu target calculated with SRIM codes. The maximum ion density of the ion density distribution in the discharge was about $10^{10}cm^{-3}$ due to the calculation speed limit. The result may be less than one or two order of magnitude smaller than the real maximum ion density. However, the target erosion profiles of the two sputter sources were in good agreement with the measured target erosion profiles except for the erosion profile near the target surface, in which which the measured erosion width was broader than the simulation erosion width.

A microstrip array antenna are designed to depend on the size of rectangular microstrip patch for the relative current destribution to be 1:2:2:1 or 1:1:2:2:1:1 using Tchebyscheff polynominals, and it consist of sharp beam pattern. Gain difference between the main lobe and sidelobe is calculated for theoritical values of 21.97 db or 29.54 db. The designed microstrip array antenna are measureed various characteristics, such as return loss, resonant frequency, radiation pattern, bandwidth, beamwidth, and agreed with each other and theoretical value. Also it is presented a process of phase variation of patch array antenna depend on relative current distribution for beam scanning.

As a display becomes large recently, Acquisition of high luminance and Luminance uniformity is becoming difficult in the existing CCFL or EEFL backlight system. So, study for a performance enhancement has enforced. but lamp development of flat type is asked for high luminance and a luminance uniformity security in of LCD and area anger trend ultimately. In this paper, we changed a tip shape of an electrode for production by the most suitable LCD backlight surface light source, and confirmed discharge characteristic along discharge gas pressure and voltage, and confirmed electric field distribution and discharge energy characteristic through a Maxwell 2D simulation. Therefore the discharge firing voltage characteristic showed a low characteristic than a rectangular type and round type in case of electrode which used tip of a triangle type, and displayed a discharge electric current as a same voltage was low.

PSP (Pressure Sensitive Paint) technique can measure continuous pressure field by analyzing the oxygen quantity using optical method. The surface pressure of down stream after the sonic jet that injected transversely into the supersonic freestream was measured by PSP technique. Moreover the effect of various rectangular shaped cavities in front of the jet was measured by PSP technique. A comparison of the PSP results with conventional pressure tap and CFD indicates good agreement. The result shows that the cavity affects the pressure distribution in the rear of the jet injection.
