Effect of Glycols and Catalysts on Cotton Fabrics Treated with Glyoxal

  • The optimum conditions for durable press treatment of cotton fabrics using glyoxal as a nonformaldehyde crosslinking agent were investigated. Crosslinking reaction was conducted in the presence of different catalysts such as aluminum sulfate, magnesium chloride, or magnesium chloride-citric acid mixture at various mole ratios of catalyst to glyoxal. Aluminum sulfate was proven the most effective one among those used. Glycol addition into a glyoxal padding bath increased the wrinkle recovery angle(WRA) and whiteness of treated fabrics. The optimum mole ratio of glycol to glyoxal was 1:1. Diethylene glycol addition produced better overall performance to the glyoxal-crosslinked fabric compared to ethylene glycol addition.

  • The silicone fluids have been generally used as processing agent in silicone rubber(SIR) compounding. The addition of hydroxy silicone (HS) fluids to SIR for insulator housing material is required to meet the good electrical performance and the good processability. In this study, SIR with HS fluids was evaluated to investigate how the kinds of them affect insulation properties. The contact angle of the virgin sample of 40-HS SIR was low and its recovery rate was also slow. The recovery rate of 50-HS SIR was the highest being decreased with the viscosity increase of HS fluids. The tracking resistances and the corona aging resistance of 70-HS SIR and 1,040-HS SIR were excellent Tracking resistance depended largely on heat resistance of silicone fluids. But arc resistance didn't depend merely on the kind of silicone fluids.

항공기의 고도, 속도 및 깊은 실속의 회복을 위한 자동회복장치 설계 및 검증에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design and Validation of Automatic Pitch Rocker System for Altitude, Speed and Deep Stall Recovery)

  • Modem version of supersonic jet fighter aircraft must have been guaranteed appropriate controllability and stability in HAoA(High Angle of Attack). The HAoA flight control law have two parts, one is control law of departure prevention and the other is control law of departure recovery support. The control laws of departure prevention for advanced jet trainer consist of HAoA limiter, roll command limiter and rudder fader. The control laws of departure recovery support are consist of yaw-rate limiter and MPO(Manual Pitch Override) mode. The guideline of pitch rocking using MPO mode is simple, but operating skill of pitch rocking is very difficult by the pilot with inexperience of departure situation. Therefore, automatic deep stall recovery system is necessary. The system called the "Automatic Pitch Rocker System" or APRS, provided a pilot initiated automatic maneuver capable of an aircraft recoveries in situations of deep stall, speed and altitude. This paper addresses the design and validation for APRS to recovery of an deep stall without manual pitch rocking by the pilot. Also, this system is designed to recovery of speed, attitude and altitude after deep stall recovery using ATCS (Automatic Thrust Control System) and autopilot. Finally, this system is verified by real-time pilot evaluation using HQS (Handling Quality Simulator).

유도전동기의 고성능 슬립전력 회수방식에 대한 연구 (A Study on the High Performance Slip Power Recovery System in Induction Motor)

  • Among the variable-speed AC motor drive systems, the static slip power recovery system has been widely adopted in large power drives because a high efficiency drive can be obtained by recovering the slip power to the AC line. Although many improvements have been made in this system, several problems also remain such as the need of transformer in inverter AC side, which results in limiting speed control range and increasing the losses, production of reactive power by the control of inverter firing angle, harmonics in line currents, and so on. This paper presents the novel high performance slip power recovery system using the boost converter and small size filter in the rotor circuit, which recovers slip power of a wound rotor induction machine to AC supply efficiently with the aid of the boost converter, in which most of the problems in conventional system can be solved. The speed can be controlled by the duty ratio of the converter switch, not by inverter firing angle. As a results, the proposed system can operate in high power factor and the harmonic currents caused by the inverter and rectifier can be considerably suppressed. The validity of the proposed system verified by demonstrating the good agreement in the simulation and experimental results.

  • In an open reduction of the mandibular angle fracture, it is crucial to approximate each fracture segment as closer as possible for the reduction of the healing period. In this case report, we proposed a new technique for the mandibular angle fracture. This was designed to minimize the gap between two separated segments using mini-implants and surgical wires. Mini-implants were placed around the fracture line, followed by wire ligation to minimize the fracture gap. And then internal fixation was easily employed with plates and screws. The advantages of this technique were reduced time for operation, the promotion of healing, rapid functional recovery, and few complications.

  • 1. 도복정고에 따른 주요 작물학적 특성은 도복시기가 빠르고, 도복정도가 심할수록 수당립수는 많았고, 등숙비율은 낮았으며, 현미천립중은 가벼웠다. 2. 완전미도정수율은 출수후 20일 완전도복(9), 출수후 20일 반도복(5), 출수후 25일 완전도복(9), 출수후 25일 반도복(5), 출수후 30일 완전도복(9), 출수후 30일의 반도복(5), 무도복 순으로 높게 유의성이 인정되었다. 따라서 도복에 따른 완전미도정수율은 도복시기가 빠르고 도복정도가 심할수록 낮아지고 분상질미, 쇄미 및 사미는 증가하는 경향이었다. 3. 밥의 찰기와 질감에 나쁜 영향을 주는 단백질함량이나 밥맛을 간접적으로 비교하는 토요식미치와 실제적인 페널에 의한 밥맛은 무도복에 비해 도복시기가 빠르고 도복정도가 심할수록 식미가 나빠지는 쪽으로 영향을 미쳤고, 도복 시기보다는 도복정도가 더 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 판단된다.

무인항공기 자동착륙을 위한 나선형 강하궤적 및 종말유도 설계 (Homing Guidance Law and Spiral Descending Path Design for UAV Automatic Landing)

  • 본 논문에서는 고정익 무인항공기의 그물망 자동착륙을 위한 나선형 강하궤적과 종말 유도기법을 설계하였다. 시야가 확보된 좁은 지역에서 착륙하도록 고정익 항공기의 나선형 강하궤적을 설계하였고, 나선형 강하의 끝점에서 그물망 입사방향을 향하도록 비행경로각 명령을 생성하였다. 종말유도 단계에서는 그물망 중심으로의 정밀한 유도를 위하여 시선각 정보 기반 의사추적 유도기법을 설계하였다. 고정익 무인항공기의 시스템 인식 모델을 이용한 6자유도 수치 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 제안한 나선형 착륙비행의 성능을 검증하였다.

벨트식 유회수기를 사용한 디젤유 회수에 관한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on the recovery of diesel oil using a belt type skimmer)

  • Removal of spilled oil over the sea and the river has become one of the urgent problem in these days. Removing oil using mechanical devices are recommended because chemical dispersion can cause the secondary contamination in the environment. In the present study a series of experiments were carried out to study the effect of working conditions of a belt type skimmer on the rate of recovery for the spilled oil. The oil chosen for the present experiment was diesel oil. Three different situations, namely, upward, downward, up-and-downward pickup have been investigated for various contact angles, belt speeds and oil thicknesses. The results show that the rate of oil recovery for the case of downward pickup with a contact angle of 45.deg. shows the highest among all the conditions. For the removal of spilled diesel oil the optimal belt speed can be found as the critical value to reach the saturated pickup rate for a given oil thickness. The recovery rate of bunker C oil shows 4-6 times higher than that for diesel oil. And the optimal belt speed for bunker C oil can be found less than that for diesel oil for the same slick thickness.

TESPT 실란커플링제가 침전 실리카로 보강된 오일씰용 NBR복합소재의 기계적 물성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of TESPT Silane Coupling Agent on Mechanical Properties of Precipitated Silica Filled NBR Compound for Oil Seal)

  • 실란커플링제인 bis-(3-triethoxysilpropyl)tetrasulfide (TESPT)가 실리카 충전 오일씰용 NBR 복합소재의 물성에 미치는 영향에 대하여 연구하였다. 복합소재의 가교거동과 가교밀도는 ODR (oscillating disk rheometer)과 톨루엔 팽윤비 시험을 통하여 측정하였으며, 기계적 물성은 가황물을 공기 내열 노화 및 ASTM No.3 oil에 내유 노화시켜 시험 전 후 값을 UTM (universal testing machine)과 Shore A 경도계를 사용하여 측정하였다. 오일씰의 성능과 수명에 큰 영향을 미치는 복합소재의 탄성회복은 가황물에 굽힘 변형을 주어 노화시킨 후 시편이 회복되는 길이를 측정하여 회복 각(angle of recovery)을 계산하였으며, 저온에서의 탄성회복거동은 TR (temperature retraction) 시험을 통하여 측정하였다. 또한, Taber식 마모시험기를 사용하여 가황물의 내마모성을 측정하고 SEM(scanning electron microscope)을 사용하여 마모면의 형상을 관찰하였다. 시험결과 실리카가 충전된 복합물에 TESPT가 첨가되면 복합물의 흐름성이 향상되고 실리카와 NBR 간의 상호작용 및 가황물의 가교밀도가 향상되어 가황물의 경도, 100% 모듈러스, 탄성회복성, 내마모성, 내열노화성 및 ASTM No.3 오일에 대한 내유성이 향상됨을 알 수 있었다.

후크 벤딩 금형 설계의 전산화에 관한 연구 (Study on the Computerization of Die Design for Bending Hook)

  • Die desig for manufacturing hooks from steel wires has been depended on empirical procedures based on trial and error method. To design die, at first the curvature and bending angle of hook are computed by using AutoCAD and developed program which is composed of Visual Basic. Then spring back should be considered because the elastic recovery of material is very important in bending process. In this study, bending analysis of elastic-plastic materials is applied to predict curvature of hook and spring back. Therefore, systematic procedure of die design for bending hook is achieved to consider elastic recovery in terms of hook shapes. Experimental results are good agreement with calculated results.
