  • Background : To examine the difference between ICD-10 and The Korean standard classification of disease(oriental medicine), and to aim at improve the practical use as statistical data. It is one of the reason of disease classification. On that account we convert the many to many correspondence presenting classification of oriental medicine into many to one correspondence. Method : The study tracked out 155 patients discharged from the university hospital which is located in Gyeonggi Province and managing hospital and oriental medicine hospital from July to October this year. The period of this study was from August 1 to November 18. We compared correspondence between the two services' diagnosis(hospital services and oriental medicine hospital services) at the same time and attempted many to one correspondence classification. That is for production of statistical data. Result : We investigated the group which have had medical treatment experience of two kinds of services at the same time. The result of this investigation was that the same oriental medicine diagnosis used differently in western medicine diagnosis. 44.5% was accorded with western medicine diagnosis. Correspondence of the western medicine diagnose with the top of the Korean standard classification of disease(oriental medicine) list's western medicine diagnosis was 13.5%. For many to one correspondence classification for statistics, one western medicine diagnosis was selected for one oriental medicine diagnosis. In case of the main diagnosis(I sign) was not enough to explain oriental medicine diagnosis' characteristic, we chose multiple other diagnosis, so other diagnosis(II sign) about patient's cause of disease could be selected for supplement after we examined the patient's records. The statistics was possible with this many to one correspondence. Conclusion : The result of this study about correspondence between western medicine diagnoses and those of oriental medicine confirms that The Korean standard classification of disease(oriental medicine) is hard to be standardized with western medicine diagnosis. Therefore, according to this study, we use new many to one correspondence classification, multiple oriental medicine diagnoses with one ICD-10, which can be used by statistical data.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a different classification method for keeping a record of cases. After proving that criminal case files should be counted as one type of case files, based on their characteristics and characteristics, this research analyzes the current process of criminal case filling at Public Prosecutor's Office to point out some problems. This study suggests a new classification system: at first, each case gets classified based on a case: secondary, the data gets further assorted by the chronological procedures. The classification approach, which is adopted from MoReq 2's Workflow method, is more adjustable to the new electronic filing system.

  • This paper proposes an automated coding system of Korean standard industry/occupation for census which reduces a lot of cost and labor for manual coding. The proposed system converts natural language responses on survey questionnaires into corresponding numeric codes using information retrieval techniques and document classification algorithm. The system was experimented with 46,762 industry records and occupation 36,286 records using 10-fold cross -validation evaluation method. As experimental results, the system show 87.08% and 66.08% production rates when classifying industry records into level 2 and level 5 codes respectively. The system shows slightly lower performances on occupation code classification. We expect that the system is enough to be used as a semi-automate coding system which can minimize manual coding task or as a verification tool for manual coding results though it has much room to be improved as an automated coding system.

  • The period from 1969 to 1999 is characterized as the rimes of radical reform in contemporary records management system of Korea. First, National archives was organized and it's function has been upgraded. Second, regulations of records management were established, revised, and integrated into a regulation of office management. Records disposition schedule was set up. The last, public records law was established. According to this law National archives was reorganized such as the national center of archival institutions. Principles of registration, classification and compilation, based on the principle of provenance, were established and the system of archivist was introduced.

  • National construction project for SOC(Social Overhead Capital) is led by the government and invested high cost and all capabilities for long times. In general case the life times of SOC facilities are permanently. According to the long life time of the facilities documents and records of national projects are also retained permanently. Consistent classification systems are required to operation and maintenance of the facilities efficiently and to support the organic co-works for several Stakeholders. Therefore the classification of national construction projects are based on WBS of the project. WBS is the hierarchy structure that established and developed in project management project management methodology to produce deliverables of the projects. As a result, this study provides a prospect of project records classification systems in the 21st Century.

  • This paper studies medical data classification methods, comparing decision tree and system reconstruction analysis as applied to heart disease medical data mining. The data we study is collected from patients with coronary heart disease. It has 1,723 records of 71 attributes each. We use the system-reconstruction method to weight it. We use decision tree algorithms, such as induction of decision trees (ID3), classification and regression tree (C4.5), classification and regression tree (CART), Chi-square automatic interaction detector (CHAID), and exhausted CHAID. We use the results to compare the correction rate, leaf number, and tree depth of different decision-tree algorithms. According to the experiments, we know that weighted data can improve the correction rate of coronary heart disease data but has little effect on the tree depth and leaf number.

  • Objective: This study explored the reuse of data captured into an electronic nursing record system using the International Classification for Nursing Practice to support nursing research of inpatient's falls. Methods: Risk factors relevant to inpatients falls ;n an acute setting were identified from the literature review. Four risk assessment tools and two risk identification studies were selected. To examine the availability of coded data in an electronic nursing record system for the identified fall fisk factors, we reviewed 11.319 hospital-day records of 118 patients who were reported by the self-report system. Results: We identified 24 fall risk factors of five categories from the literature review, which were used to identify the standard nursing statements addressing fall risks. One hundred thirty five nursing statements were searched from the hospital's nursing data dictionary of statements and were matched with 14 fall fisk factors. Using the 135 statements. we found that mental status, catheter of drip in situ, abnormal gait, insomnia, surgical procedure. and dizziness/vertigo appeared frequently in the nursing records of inpatients with fall s. Also we found 6 risk factors more through the record review. Conclusion: The electronic records would be a good research source for inpatients' falls. Specifically international classification for nursing practice based nursing record system has the potential for promoting clinical researches.

  • BRM (Business Reference Model, hereinafter referred to as BRM) has been introduced with the objective to improve task-related information sharing among organizations, task processing speed, efficiency of organization management, and administrative services. Furthermore, a Records Management Reference Table, which is a business-based records management system, has been put in to operation. However, it is necessary to reidentify if the BRM is put into use according to its initial objectives and purposes after 10 years of its introduction based on the pending problems and matters of improvement. Therefore, in this study, the necessity for business transaction management has been reviewed based on the problems present in the "business transaction" operation, which is the lowest unit of BRM, and it proposes a business transaction identification plan through a business analysis. As a result, three major points to improve BRM management have been suggested.

  • The Retained documents disposal project, promoted in 1968 and 1975, was executed as part of administrative plans for prompt movement of the government in case of national emergency. It was main contents that archival documents were re-appraised and reduced the least, and then moved rearward. The Retained documents disposal project denied The Records Management System of Korean Government that had been founded in 1964, promoted reduction of documents physically for convenience to dispersion of the government. Korean Government had completed these projects and then reorganized records management system to reduce creation of archival documents systematically in 1979.

  • Many researches have been processing on research records management and way of service for efficient usage of various records from R&D process. Especially, a study on type analysis and structured method of research records is very important for efficient knowledge transfer system. This study, as a basic study for integrated research record management system, is about how to structuralize records efficiently reflecting features of research records. First, analysis and systematization of broad records type made from atomic energy technology R&D process were conducted. Second, efficient methods for contents structuralization in terms of usage to maximize usage of research records were studied. This research tried to structuralize all records based on TOC enable to link, search and use of data for reflecting of integrated and systematic structure which is a feature of research record.
