도심주행에 있어서 가솔린 자동차의 연료소비 및 오염물질 배출특성에 관한 연구 (Characteristics of gasoline consumption and CO emission in urban traffic)

  • The relationship between vehicle driving pattern and fuel consumption in urban area was studied in Seoul along three representative routes using a test car equipped with all the instruments required for recording modes of traffic and measuring fuel consumption. Correlation with idle speed, fuel consumption and CO concentration of car in use was also measured. The average vehicle speed in Seoul was 31.4 km/h and the time spent in different modes was 23.0% in idle mode, 22.5% in acceleration mode, 32.4% in cruising mode and 22.3% in deceleration mode, respectively. Hence, traffic flow was suggested to be relatively smooth. Fuel consumption per unit distance, .phi. was closely related with trip time spent per unit distance, t, and correlation coefficient obtained from the test car was 0.925, and the relationship between .phi. and t was also obtained from the linear regression with the following equation. .phi.=42.87+0.38 t. Idle speed of vehicle in use was mostly adjusted low and cars which were over the permissible standard of CO concentration (4.5%) were 50% or more. As the idle speed decreased, the fuel consumption was decreased, while the CO concentration was increased. Therefore, the decrease of fuel consumption can not be expected with only a decrease in idle speed.

고 저장밀도 HDD를 위한 새로운 심볼동기 알고리즘 (A new symbol timing algorithm for high storage density HDD)

  • In this paper, a new symbol timing algorithm for a magnetic recording system as HDD, is proposed. Above all, the Lorentzian channel model applied, the distortion and the attenuation problems of playback signals at high speed and storage density were considered. The structure and the operation of popular data detectors for HDD were understood, and the adopted symbol timing algorithm were profoundly analyzed. On the basis of these understanding and analysis, a new symbol timing algorithm for high density HDD was proposed, and the performance evaluation of this proposed algorithm was done.

  • This paper is describes the measured electric field waveform radiated by lightning discharge. We have performed measurement and analysis of the electric fields associated with stepped leaders. Electric field measurement system was composed of hemisphere electric field sensor, measurement system of a distance from lightning strokes, automatical recording system, A/D board, personal computer etc. A/D board have high sampling time, high speed data processing, 8bit of resolution. Also, measured characteristics of stepped leaders radiated by were analyzed.

  • 본 논문에서는 종전의 고정식 카메라 방식과 다르게 영상내에 두개의 라인을 적용함으로서 차량의 속도와 차량의 대수를 측정할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 50km/h, 80km/h, 90km/h의 속도로 달리는 차량을 녹화하여 시작점과 도착점의 시간을 추출하고, 추출된 시간차와 거리에 의해서 47.57km/h, 81.20km/h, 90.00km/h속도를 계산하였으며 매우 양호하게 일치함을 보였다.

  • In recent years the recording density of hard disk has been increasing largely due to the decreasing flying height of head. However, as the flying height is decreased the reliability issue becomes ever more critical. This is because the reliability and durability of hard disk is related to the head/disk interaction as the two components come into partial or full contact.   • There are electric double layer capacitance, polarization resistance and solution resistance in the interface between electrode and solution. Electrode process could be evaluated by the electrical impedance analysis. The necessities of the electrochemical cell analysis with high speed impedance analyzer are followings: minimization of the effects of electric stimulation on electrochemical cell and the concentration of reactive materials, and optimization of impedance signal resolution. This paper represents the design criteria for the selection and stimulation to develop fast impedance analyzer prototype for a electrochemical cell. It was suggested that the design of 470k sample/s sampling rate, 13 bit ABC resolution, and 140ms recording time is required for high speed impedance analysis system in frequency range between dc and 10kHz.

  • This event recorder system, owing to the advancement of communication technology, is independently installed in most on-board electronics and given integrated management by on-board monitoring equipments. However, since the safety oriented equipments such as signalling devices, train protection systems, and train radios have been mounted on trains recently" the existing on-board monitoring device is no longer reliable enough for permanent preservation of data from train crashes or fires. This study has pointed out the problems mentioned above and described the designing concept of the fault recording system for high-speed trains for effective utilization of the train management program.

  • In this paper, we propose an effective wireless transmission technology, under poor wireless transmission channel surroundings caused by speedy flying, that are able to transmit high quality video recording information and surveillance data via accessing to various wireless networking services architecture such as One-on-One, Many-on-One, One-on-Many, Over the Horizon. The Real-Time Position Analysis(RAPA) method is also suggested to provide more meaningful video information of shooting area. The suggested wireless transmission technology and RAPA can make remote control of UAV's flight route to get valuable topography information. Because of the benefit to get both of video information and GPS data of shooting area simultaneously, the result of study can be applied to various application sphere including UAV that requires high speed wireless transmission.

  • 본 논문에서는 HDTV 신호를 디지털 VTR에 저장하기 위한 웨이브렛 변환 기반 압축 방법을 제안하였다. 웨이브렛 기반 압축 방법은 기존에 잘 알려져 있는 DCT를 기반으로 한 압축 방법과는 다르게 낮은 주파수 영역에서 공간 영역의 정보를 그대로 유지하고 있다. 그러므로 웨이브렛 기반 압축 방법의 이러한 특성은 VTR의 편집 및 변속 기능에 매우 적합하다. 또한 본 논문에서 사용한 웨이브렛 변환 필터는 쉬프트 연산과 덧셈만으로 곱셈을 대체할 수 있으므로 계산상의 복잡도를 감소시킬 수 있었다. 4:1 정도 압축시 복원된 HDTV 신호는 방송용으로 사용하기에 충분한 화질을 유지했다.
