차량용 블랙박스 데이터 저장구조 분석을 통한 포렌식 분석도구 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Car Blackbox Forensic Analysis Tool Through the Analysis of Data Structure)

  • 차량용 블랙박스는 차량의 운행기록 및 상태를 실시간으로 기록하는 장치이다. 일상생활에서 많이 사용되면서 다양한 장소, 시간, 다방면에서 촬영된 영상 데이터는 수사 과정에서 그 활용도가 높아지고 있다. 블랙박스는 제조사에 따라 데이터를 저장하는 방식이 상이하여 데이터를 확인하기 위해서는 제조사가 제공하는 전용분석도구를 사용해야 한다. 하지만 전용분석도구는 특정 모델에 대해 의존적이며 기능이 상이하다는 단점과 제조사가 폐업할 경우 전용분석도구를 구할 수 없다는 문제로 인하여 디지털 포렌식 수사 과정에서 어려움이 발생 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 판매되고 있는 블랙박스를 선정하여 모델별 데이터 저장 구조를 분석하고 제조사에서 제공하는 전용분석 도구의 기능과 한계점을 확인하였으며 연구 결과를 바탕으로 포렌식 분석도구에 요구되는 기능을 도출하고 포렌식 분석도구를 설계 및 구현하였다.

  • 개발자 개개인의 소프트웨어 개발 프로세스를 개선시켜 소프트웨어의 품질을 향상시킬 수 있도록 돕는 기법으로 PSP(Personal Software Process)가 널리 쓰이고 있다. PSP에 제시된 측정 및 분석활동을 지속적으로 수행함으로써 개별 개발자는 자신의 개발 프로세스에 내재된 약점을 파악할 수 있고, 이렇게 수집된 과거 프로젝트의 데이타를 이용하여 공수와 품질에 대한 예측의 정확도를 높일 수 있다. 그러나 수동으로 행해지는 데이타 수집의 오버헤드와 개발작업-측정작업 간의 문맥전환에 따른 집중력 분산의 문제점으로 인해 신뢰도 높은 데이타를 수집하기가 쉽지 않은 것이 현실이다. 한편, PSP에 제시된 문서형태의 프로세스 가이드는 프로세스 정보 검색의 불편함과 추가적인 정보를 삽입하는 데 어려움을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위해 개발된 PSP 지원도구를 소개한다. 개발된 도구는 데이타 수집의 신뢰성을 높이기 위해 데이타 자동 수집 기능을 제공하고, PSP 프로세스 정보의 효율적인 검색을 위한 EPG(Electronic Process Guide) 기능 및 추가적인 프로세스 정보의 저장을 위한 경험 저장소 기능을 제공한다.

충돌사고 재구성 해석을 위한 차량 블랙박스의 개발 (Development of an Automobile Black Box for Reconstruction Analysis of Collision Accidents)

  • This paper presents design concepts, specifications and performances of a newly developed Black Box, the reconstruction analysis tool with the records, and results of validation tests. The Black Box can detect crash accidents automatically, and record the vehicle's motion and driver's maneuvers during a pre-defined time period before and after the accident. The items of the Black Box included the acceleration, yaw-rate, vehicle speed, engine RPM, braking application, steering and several digital inputs for recording driver's maneuvers. To detect the accident-related-crash, it is important to understand characteristics of the crash signal, which are much different from those of normal driving. Therefore, analytical considerations should be taken in designing pre-filtering circuits and selecting appropriate parameters for identifying crash accidents. And, it is necessary to select proper combination of motion sensors and design proper pre-filtering circuits in order to describe the vehicle's motion. The analysis algorithms were developed and implemented which can perform accurate detection of crash accidents, simulating pre-crash trajectories, and calculating parameters for reconstruction analysis of crash accidents. The developed Black Box was installed on passenger cars and several types of validation tests were conducted. Through the tests, the accuracy of the recorded data and usefulness of the analysis tool for reconstruction have been validated.

보안 관제 시스템에서 효율적인 영상 검색을 위한 카메라 연동 정보 파일 자동 생성 도구의 설계 및 구현 (A Design and Implementation of Camera Information File Creation Tool for Efficient Recording Data Search in Surveillance System)

  • 테러와 각종 위협으로부터 개인의 재산과 생명을 보호하기 위한 목적으로, 다양한 장소에 영상 보안 장비들을 설치하여 운영하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 다중의 카메라가 설치된 관제센터 환경에서 카메라 영상 속 녹화 데이터 검색을 진행할 경우, 사용자의 검색 편의성을 높이기 위한 방법으로, 객체의 이동 경로를 사전에 정의할 수 있는 자료 구조를 제안하고, 카메라 간 연동 정보를 저장할 수 있는 테이블 정보 파일을 자동으로 생성 해주는 도구를 설계 하고 구현 한다. 이렇게 정의된 카메라 정보 테이블을 사용하여 녹화된 데이터를 검색 시 검색 시간을 최소화 할 수 있으며, 녹화 데이터 검색 효율성을 높일 수 있다.

일 대학병원 중환자실의 억제대 사용실태 (A Study on the Application of Physical Restraints in Intensive Care Units)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this descriptive study was to investigate the application of physical restraints in ICUs of a university hospital. Method: Data were collected from August 1 to October 1 2009, using a recording tool from Electric Nursing Records and an observation tool for physical restraints and related factors. Frequency, percentage, and paired t-test with the SPSS/WIN 16.0 program were used to analyze the data. Results: The application rate for physical restraints in 5 ICUs was 34.3%, the highest application rate was 48.4% in the neurosurgical ICU. The mean frequency for physical restraint application per patient was 1.14, and the mean hours of restraint application per incident was 113.01 hours. The most common complications of physical restraints were bruising and edema. Conclusion: Many ICU nurses use physical restraints when caring for patients who are at high risk for falls, including patients have high levels of acuity, decreased level of consciousness or increased irritability. When physical restraints are applied, patients show resistance against the use resulting in side effects of bruising and edema. Therefore, nurses should observe changes in restrain sites, perform nursing interventions to prevent complications, and minimize the use of physical restraints.

  • The purpose of this research is to discuss the concept of measuring cryptocurrency literacy, especially Bitcoin. This research uses a qualitative approach. The data source comes from a literature review on cryptocurrency and opinions from Bitcoin academics, traders, and investors. Data collection was conducted through desk evaluations and interviews to determine what attributes should be considered for assessing Bitcoin literacy. The results of a literature review reinforced by discussion show that eight attributes can be used to assess basic level Bitcoin literacy, namely Bitcoin supply, regulatory guarantees, transaction recording, the role of third parties, treatment of transfer transactions, initial coin offerings, the smallest Bitcoin unit, and conversion with another currency. These eight attributes can be used to measure Bitcoin literacy through various questions with the choice of true, false, and do not know answers. This research is essential because there is no method to measure Bitcoin literacy. This research can be a measuring tool that becomes a reference or standard in assessing or measuring Bitcoin literacy. This study's results provide benefits to the development of science in the form of a tool that can be used to assess Bitcoin literacy and become a standard in assessing a person's level of understanding of Bitcoin.

  • The Holographic Particle Velocimetry system can be a promising optical tool for the measurements of three dimensional particle velocities. In this research, the optical system for double pulse holographic recording and reconstruction of particle images was developed. Validation experiments for the developed system were conducted measuring the velocities of glass beads on a rotating disk. Uncertainty analysis was performed to identify the sources of all relevant errors and to evaluate their magnitude. The measurement results of distance between glass beads, size, and velocities of them using holographic method compared reasonalbly well with the known values within acceptable range of errors.

Long run ambient noise recording for a masonry medieval tower

  • Ambient vibration techniques are nowadays a very popular tool to assess dynamic properties of buildings. Due to its non destructive character, this method is particularly valuable, especially for health monitoring of historical monuments. The present ambient vibration experiment consists on the evaluation of vibration modes of a Medieval tower. Situated in Soncino (close to Cremona, in the Northern Italian region named Lombardia), the tower of 41.5 meters height has been monitored by seismometers located at different points inside the structure. Spectral ratios of the recorded ambient vibrations clearly identify a fundamental mode at about 1 Hz, with a slight difference in the two horizontal components. A second mode is also evidenced at approx 4-5 Hz, with a moderate degree of uncertainty. The records of a ML 4.4 earthquake, occurred during the monitoring period, confirm the information obtained by microtremor analysis. Daily variations of both 1st and 2nd mode were detected: these variations, of an amount up to 2%, seem to be well related with the temperature.

  • SNOMED CT browser is a browsing tool for searching clinical terms in SNOMED CT which is a standard terminology set used worldwide. The search result view of previous browsers merely list up candidate terminologies. The problem is that most of users become confused about how to select an appropriate term from the list. This leads serious waste of medical recoding cost. This paper discusses characteristics of SNOMED CT dataset and proposes a novel design of enhanced result view by restructuring the results using relationships of SNOMED CT concepts. Using the proposed scheme, medical doctors or officers can select appropriate terms more efficiently and can reduce overall recording time.

분무 액적 특성 계측을 위한 디지털 입자 홀로그래피 시스템의 개발 (Development of Digital Particle Holographic System for Measurements of the Characteristics of Spray Droplets)

  • This study presents development of digital particle holographic system and its application to spray field to measure three-dimensional velocities and sizes of spray droplets. A double exposure hologram recording system with synchronization system for time control was established and digital holograms can be recorded in a short time interval. To process recorded holograms, the correlation coefficient method was used for focal plane determination of particles. To remove noises and improve the quality of holograms and reconstructed images, the Wiener filter was adopted. The two-threshold and image segmentation methods were used in binary image transformation. For particle pairing, the match probability method was adopted. The developed system was applied to spray field and three-dimensional velocities and sizes of spray droplets were measured. The measurement results of digital holographic system were compared with those made by laser instruments, PDPA(Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer), which proved the feasibility of in-line digital particle holographic system as a good measurement tool for spray droplets.
