  • It is necessary to improve the exactness and adaptation of the working environment in the intelligent robot system. The vision sensor have been studied for this reason fur a long time. However, it is very difficult to perform the camera and robot calibrations because the three dimensional reconstruction and many processes are required for the real usages. This paper suggests the image based visual servoing to solve the problem of old calibration technique and supports OLP(Off-Line-Programming) path compensation. Virtual camera can be modeled from the real factors and virtual images obtained from virtual camera gives more easy perception process. Also, Initial path generated from OLP could be compensated by the pixel level acquired from the real and virtual, respectively. Consequently, the proposed visually assisted OLP teaching remove the calibration and reconstruction process in real working space. With a virtual simulation, the better performance is observed and the robot path error is calibrated by the image differences.

  • In this paper, It propose a new restoration algorithm of high resolution, which is reconstructed to high resolution image using low resolution image informations. The proposed algorithm is constructed based on super resolution theory, it is consisted of progressive steps of the integration and construction. It reduced a lot of data-processing capacity and noise with integration through sub-pixel movement and wavelet basis through a higher resolution. As a result, it is shown that the main information is maintained and the error rate is improved. Using expansion fuzzy wavelet B-spline interpolation in stage of construction, it is confirmed that we can achieve smoothing image and good resolution without blur and block.

  • Free-form blades are widely used in different industries, such as aero-engine and steam turbine. Blades that are damaged during service or have production deficiencies are usually replaced with new ones. This leads to the waste of expensive material and is not sustainable. However, material and costs can be saved by repairing of locally damaged blades or blades with localized production deficiencies. The blade needs to be further machined after welding process to reach the aerodynamic performance requirements. This paper outlines an adaptive location approach of repaired blade for model reconstruction and NC machining. Firstly, a mathematical model is established to describe the localization problem under constraints. Secondly, by solving the mathematical model, localization of repaired blade for NC machining can be obtained. Furthermore, a more flexible method based on the proposed mathematical model and the continuity of the deformation process is developed to realize a better localization. Thirdly, by rebuilding the model of the repaired blade and extracting repair error, optimized tool paths for NC machining is generated adaptively for each individual part. Finally, three examples are given to validate the proposed method.

  • Numerical cadastral surveying method has advantages of higher accuracy and less individual error than planetable surveying method if we consider the result of surveying at the same area. Now in the areas where they use numerical cadastral records, coordinate is the basis when the boundary location is registered in numerical cadastral re-cords or is reconstructed on land surface, and this coordinate represents simply the absolute locational relationship with respect to origin point. But when we register the cadastral boundary location in cadastral or reconstruct it on land, relative relationship with respect to traverse point is more advisable basis than absolute relationship with respect to orgin point. This study contributes to the numerical cadastral surveying by discussing the problems to be improved that the principle of coordinate based boundary location registration and reconstruction has.

  • A wavelet-based image compression system allowing both lossless and lossy image compression is proposed in this paper. The proposed algorithm consists of the two stages. The first stage uses the wavelet packet transform and the quad-tree coding scheme for the lossy compression. In the second stage, the residue image taken between the original image and the lossy reconstruction image is coded for the lossless image compression by using the integer wavelet transform and the context based predictive technique with feedback error. The proposed wavelet-based algorithm, allowing an optional lossless reconstruction of a given image, transmits progressively image materials and chooses an appropriate wavelet filter in each stage. The lossy compression result of the proposed algorithm improves up to the maximum 1 dB PSNR performance of the high frequency image, compared to that of JPEG-2000 algorithm and that of S+P algorithm. In addition, the lossless compression result of the proposed algorithm improves up to the maximum 0.39 compression rates of the high frequency image, compared to that of the existing algorithm.

  • Ultrasonic tomography is a powerful tool for identifying defects within an object or structure. But practical application of ultrasonic tomography to solids is often limited by time consuming transducer coupling. Air-coupled ultrasonic measurements may eliminate the coupling problem and allow for more rapid data collection and tomographic image construction. This research aims to integrate recent developments in air-coupled ultrasonic measurements with current tomography reconstruction routines to improve testing capability. The goal is to identify low velocity inclusions (air-filled voids and notches) within solids using constructed velocity images. Finite element analysis is used to simulate the experiment in order to determine efficient data collection schemes. Comparable air-coupled ultrasonic signals are then collected through homogeneous and isotropic solid (PVC polymer) samples. Volumetric (void) and planar (notch) inclusions within the samples are identified in the constructed velocity tomograms for a variety of transducer configurations. Although there is some distortion of the inclusions, the experimentally obtained tomograms accurately indicate their size and location. Reconstruction error values, defined as misidentification of the inclusion size and position, were in the range of 1.5-1.7%. Part 2 of this paper set will describe the application of this imaging technique to concrete that contains inclusions.

  • Wireless capsule endoscopy (WCE) is considered as recent technology for the detection cancer cells in the human digestive system. WCE sends the captured information from inside the body to a sensor on the skin surface through a wireless medium. In WCE, the design of low-power consumption devices is a challenging topic. In the Shannon-Nyquist sampling theorem, the number of samples should be at least twice the highest transmission frequency to reconstruct precise signals. The number of samples is proportional to the power consumption in wireless communication. This paper proposes compressive sensing as a method to reduce power consumption in WCE, by means of a trade-off between samples and reconstruction accuracy. The proposed scheme is validated under channel constraints, expressed as the realistic human body path loss. The results show that the proposed scheme achieves a significant reduction in WCE power consumption and achieves a faster computation time with low signal error reconstruction.

  • Noise is generated by several causes, when signal is processed. Hence, it generates error in the process of data transmission and decreases recognition ratio of image and speech data. Therefore, after eliminating those noises, a variety of methods for reconstructing the signal have been researched. Recently, wavelet transform which has time-frequency localization and is possible for multiresolution analysis is applied to many fields of technology. Then threshold-and correlation-based methods are proposed for removing noise. But, conventional methods accept a lot of noise as an edge and are impossible to remove the additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and the impulse noise at the same time. Therefore, in this paper we proposed new wavelet-based algorithm for reconstructing degraded signal by noise and compared it with conventional methods.

  • The estimation of radio map (RM) is a fundamental and critical task for the network planning and optimization performance of mobile communication. In this paper, a RM estimation method is proposed based on a deep dual learning structure. This method can simultaneously and accurately reconstruct the urban building map (UBM) and estimate the RM of the whole cell by only part of the measured reference signal receiving power (RSRP). Our proposed method implements UBM reconstruction task and RM estimation task by constructing a dual U-Net-based structure, which is named RadioCycle. RadioCycle jointly trains two symmetric generators of the dual structure. Further, to solve the problem of interference negative transfer in generators trained jointly for two different tasks, RadioCycle introduces a dynamic weighted averaging method to dynamically balance the learning rate of these two generators in the joint training. Eventually, the experiments demonstrate that on the UBM reconstruction task, RadioCycle achieves an F1 score of 0.950, and on the RM estimation task, RadioCycle achieves a root mean square error of 0.069. Therefore, RadioCycle can estimate both the RM and the UBM in a cell with measured RSRP for only 20% of the whole cell.

  • In this paper a low-power DWT(Discrete Wavelet Transform) design technique is proposed. As basic low-pass filter for analysis bank, comb filter is utilized, and in order to improve frequency response for the comb filter, a fourth order polynomial is also proposed. Another filters are designed by using perfect reconstruction conditions. The lowpass filter coefficients of the analysis filter bank are optimized based on the cost function and perfect reconstruction condition. The number of the multiplications and MSE(Mean Squared Error) performance of the proposed DWT filter bank are compared with those of the JPEG2000 (9, 7) filter bank. It is shown that number of multiplications of the proposed filter bank are saved with 33.3%, and MSE values of the proposed filter bank are also superior to those of the JPEG2000 (9, 7) filter bank.
