Bipartite Preference aware Robust Recommendation System (이분법 선호도를 고려한 강건한 추천 시스템)

  • Due to the prevalent use of online systems and the increasing amount of accessible information, the influence of recommender systems is growing bigger than ever. However, there are several attempts by malicious users who try to compromise or manipulate the reliability of recommender systems with cyber-attacks. By analyzing the ratio of 'sympathy' against 'apathy' responses about a concerned review and reflecting the results in a recommendation system, we could present a way to improve the performance of a recommender system and maintain a robust system. After collecting and applying actual movie review data, we found that our proposed recommender system showed an improved performance compared to the existing recommendation systems.

A Literature Review and Classification of Recommender Systems on Academic Journals (추천시스템관련 학술논문 분석 및 분류)

  • Recommender systems have become an important research field since the emergence of the first paper on collaborative filtering in the mid-1990s. In general, recommender systems are defined as the supporting systems which help users to find information, products, or services (such as books, movies, music, digital products, web sites, and TV programs) by aggregating and analyzing suggestions from other users, which mean reviews from various authorities, and user attributes. However, as academic researches on recommender systems have increased significantly over the last ten years, more researches are required to be applicable in the real world situation. Because research field on recommender systems is still wide and less mature than other research fields. Accordingly, the existing articles on recommender systems need to be reviewed toward the next generation of recommender systems. However, it would be not easy to confine the recommender system researches to specific disciplines, considering the nature of the recommender system researches. So, we reviewed all articles on recommender systems from 37 journals which were published from 2001 to 2010. The 37 journals are selected from top 125 journals of the MIS Journal Rankings. Also, the literature search was based on the descriptors "Recommender system", "Recommendation system", "Personalization system", "Collaborative filtering" and "Contents filtering". The full text of each article was reviewed to eliminate the article that was not actually related to recommender systems. Many of articles were excluded because the articles such as Conference papers, master's and doctoral dissertations, textbook, unpublished working papers, non-English publication papers and news were unfit for our research. We classified articles by year of publication, journals, recommendation fields, and data mining techniques. The recommendation fields and data mining techniques of 187 articles are reviewed and classified into eight recommendation fields (book, document, image, movie, music, shopping, TV program, and others) and eight data mining techniques (association rule, clustering, decision tree, k-nearest neighbor, link analysis, neural network, regression, and other heuristic methods). The results represented in this paper have several significant implications. First, based on previous publication rates, the interest in the recommender system related research will grow significantly in the future. Second, 49 articles are related to movie recommendation whereas image and TV program recommendation are identified in only 6 articles. This result has been caused by the easy use of MovieLens data set. So, it is necessary to prepare data set of other fields. Third, recently social network analysis has been used in the various applications. However studies on recommender systems using social network analysis are deficient. Henceforth, we expect that new recommendation approaches using social network analysis will be developed in the recommender systems. So, it will be an interesting and further research area to evaluate the recommendation system researches using social method analysis. This result provides trend of recommender system researches by examining the published literature, and provides practitioners and researchers with insight and future direction on recommender systems. We hope that this research helps anyone who is interested in recommender systems research to gain insight for future research.

Distribution of Air Tickets through Online Platform Recommendation Algorithms

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to collect and analyze a large amount of data from online ticket distribution platforms that offer multiple airlines and different routes so that they can improve their ticket distribution marketing strategies and provide services that are more suitable for consumer's needs. The results of this study will help airlines improve the quality of their online platform services to provide more benefits and convenience by providing access to multiple airlines and routes around the world on one platform. Research design, data and methodology: For the study, 200 people completed the survey between May 1 and June 15, 2024, of which 191 copies were used in the study. Results: The hypothesis testing results of this study showed that among the components of the recommendation algorithm, decision comport, novelty, and evoked interest recurrence had a positive effect on perceived recommendation quality, but curiosity did not have a positive effect on recommendation quality. The perceived recommendation quality of the online platform positively influenced recommendation satisfaction, and the higher the perceived recommendation quality, the higher the intention to continue the relationship. Finally, higher recommendation satisfaction was associated with higher relationship continuation intention. Conclusion: it's important to continue researching online ticketing platforms. Online platforms will also need to be systems that use technology and data analytics to provide a better user experience and more benefits.

On-line Recommendation Service Algorithm using Human Sensibility Ergonomics (감성공학을 이용한 온라인 추천 서비스 알고리즘)

  • To be successful in increasingly competitive Internet marketplace, it is essential to capture customer loyalty. This paper deals with an intelligent agent approach to incorporate customer's sensibility into an one-to-one recommendation service in on-line shopping mall. In this paper the focus of interest is on-line recommendation service algorithm for development of Human Sensibility based web agent system. The recommendation agent system composed of seven services including specialized algorithm. The on-line recommendation service algorithm use human sensibility ergonomics and on-line preference matching technologies to tailor to the customer the suggestion of goods and the description of store catalog. Customizing the system's behavior requires the parallel execution of several tasks during the interaction (e.g., identifying the customer's emotional preference and dynamically generating the pages of the store catalog). Most of the present shopping malls go through the catalog of goods, but the future shopping malls will have the form of intelligent shopping malls by applying the on-line recommendation service algorithm.

  • The Semantic Web is an evolving extension of the WWW in which the semantics of information and services on the web is defined, making it possible for the web to understand and satisfy the requests of people and machines to use the web content. The sementic web relied on the ontologies that structure underling data for the purpose of comprehensive and transportable machine understanding. And recommendation systems have been developed as a solution to the abundance of choice people face in many situations. This paper shows that the new recommendation method is suitable for effective recommendation on the semantic web. We present a new procedure for improving the effective recommendation by using the levelized context ontology. Our experimental results also confirm that our method has good recommendation time. Our proposed method can be generalized to fit other application domains.

Auxiliary Stacked Denoising Autoencoder based Collaborative Filtering Recommendation

  • In recent years, deep learning techniques have achieved tremendous successes in natural language processing, speech recognition and image processing. Collaborative filtering(CF) recommendation is one of widely used methods and has significant effects in implementing the new recommendation function, but it also has limitations in dealing with the problem of poor scalability, cold start and data sparsity, etc. Combining the traditional recommendation algorithm with the deep learning model has brought great opportunity for the construction of a new recommender system. In this paper, we propose a novel collaborative recommendation model based on auxiliary stacked denoising autoencoder(ASDAE), the model learns effective the preferences of users from auxiliary information. Firstly, we integrate auxiliary information with rating information. Then, we design a stacked denoising autoencoder based collaborative recommendation model to learn the preferences of users from auxiliary information and rating information. Finally, we conduct comprehensive experiments on three real datasets to compare our proposed model with state-of-the-art methods. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed model is superior to other recommendation methods.

Personalized Web Service Recommendation Method Based on Hybrid Social Network and Multi-Objective Immune Optimization

  • To alleviate the cold-start problem and data sparsity in web service recommendation and meet the personalized needs of users, this paper proposes a personalized web service recommendation method based on a hybrid social network and multi-objective immune optimization. The network adds the element of the service provider, which can provide more real information and help alleviate the cold-start problem. Then, according to the proposed service recommendation framework, multi-objective immune optimization is used to fuse multiple attributes and provide personalized web services for users without adjusting any weight coefficients. Experiments were conducted on real data sets, and the results show that the proposed method has high accuracy and a low recall rate, which is helpful to improving personalized recommendation.

Enhancing Similar Business Group Recommendation through Derivative Criteria and Web Crawling

  • Effective recommendation of similar business groups is a critical factor in obtaining market information for companies. In this study, we propose a novel method for enhancing similar business group recommendation by incorporating derivative criteria and web crawling. We use employment announcements, employment incentives, and corporate vocational training information to derive additional criteria for similar business group selection. Web crawling is employed to collect data related to the derived criteria from 'credit jobs' and 'worknet' sites. We compare the efficiency of different datasets and machine learning methods, including XGBoost, LGBM, Adaboost, Linear Regression, K-NN, and SVM. The proposed model extracts derivatives that reflect the financial and scale characteristics of the company, which are then incorporated into a new set of recommendation criteria. Similar business groups are selected using a Euclidean distance-based model. Our experimental results show that the proposed method improves the accuracy of similar business group recommendation. Overall, this study demonstrates the potential of incorporating derivative criteria and web crawling to enhance similar business group recommendation and obtain market information more efficiently.

  • As the Internet spreads, many people have interests in e-CRM and product recommender systems, one of e-CRM applications. Among various approaches for recommendation, collaborative filtering and content-based approaches have been investigated and applied widely. Despite their popularity, traditional recommendation approaches have some limitations. They require at least one purchase transaction per user. In addition, they don't utilize much information such as demographic and specific personal profile information. This study suggests new hybrid recommendation model using two data mining techniques, association rule and classification, as well as intelligent agent to overcome these limitations. To validate the usefulness of the model, it was applied to the real case and the prototype web site was developed. We assessed the usefulness of the suggested recommendation model through online survey. The result of the survey showed that the information of the recommendation was generally useful to the survey participants.

Collaborative filtering based Context Information for Real-time Recommendation Service in Ubiquitous Computing

  • In pure P2P environment, it is possible to provide service by using a little real-time information without using accumulated information. But in case of using only a little information that was locally collected, quality of recommendation service can be fallen-off. Therefore, it is necessary to study a method to improve qualify of recommendation service by using users' context information. But because a great volume of users' context information can be recognized in a moment, there can be a scalability problem and there are limitations in supporting differentiated services according to fields and items. In this paper, we solved the scalability problem by clustering context information per each service field and classifying it per each user, using SOM. In addition, we could recommend proper services for users by quantifying the context information of the users belonging to the similar classification to the service requester among classified data and then using collaborative filtering.
