A Study Regarding the Recognition and Use Actual Condition about the Western Style Furniture (입식가구에 관한 사용자 인식 및 이용실태에 관한 연구)

  • Through this study, I conducted surveys on apartments with western style furniture to investigate perception on the western style furniture and its use. For the subject of survey, I selected three apartment complexes at Suji-gu, Yongin city which has been recently developed as a new town. Out of total 150 copies of survey sheets 142 fully answered copies were adopted as a final analysis data. Considering supply rate and application, sofa and chair of dining table were chosen to refer as western style furniture. As a result, most of the respondents had inconvenience in using western style furniture. Further study on side effects of adopting western style furniture should be followed.

  • Due to the opening of Incheon International Airport Terminal 2, the operation range of ground operators is expanding and the workload is increased, which may cause a deterioration of the operation quality. Airline and airport corporations are concerned about safety delays as well as delays in flight due to delays in operations. Air traffic demand at Incheon International Airport is expected to increase steadily in the future. Therefore, this study intends to derive quality improvement plan by investigating the perception of stakeholders about the status of fishing service in order to improve service quality of Incheon airport ground handling company. The results of the analysis are expected to be used as basic data for improving quality of service.

A Phenomenological Study on the Recognition of Counseling & Coaching Experts in the Fourth Industrial Age (4차산업시대에 상담코칭전문가의 인식에 관한 현상학적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to help Counseling & Coaching(C&C) service and marketing by understanding C&C professionals' perception about the fourth industrial age. The qualitative research method of phenomenology was utilized in this study. In-depth personal interviews of 5 C&C Specialist with more than 10 years of experience in the C&C service setting were conducted using the records from May, 2018 to July, 2018. Content analysis was done using the Colaizzi' phenomenological method. The results based on the data analysis, 20 descriptive statements and 5 themes were confirmed. The 5 themes were as followed; 'A growing interest', 'Psychological burden of change' 'New hope through convergence', 'Do not move to action', and 'Think about new strategies'. This study helps to recognize counseling coaching professionals who are preparing for the fourth industrial age. The results can be used as a starting point for identifying the knowledge ecosystem and activating the counseling coaching service in the fourth industrial age.

A Study on Brand Awareness of Contract Foodservice Management Company in Incheon Area (위탁급식 전문업체의 브랜드 운영 전략을 위한 브랜드 인지도 분석 - 인천 지역 일부 대학생을 대상으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the college and university student's perception on the brand awareness of contract foodservice management company in Incheon area. The developed questionnaires were distributed to the college and university students in Incheon area from September 20 to September 24 in 2004. Total 198 questionnaires were used for the final data analysis with response rate of 82.5%. The results showed that 85 % of the students has known that the foodservice operation was managed by contracted management company, only 56.5% of them have known the exact name of contract foodservice management company managing their cafeteria. It was recommended therefore that contract foodservice management company need more efforts for widening public activities for their company's name.

Outdoor Healing Places Perception Analysis Using Named Entity Recognition of Social Media Big Data (소셜미디어 빅데이터의 개체명 인식을 활용한 옥외 힐링 장소 인식 분석)

  • In recent years, as interest in healing increases, outdoor spaces with the concept of healing have been created. For more professional and in-depth planning and design, the perception and characteristics of outdoor healing places through social media posts were analyzed using NER. Text mining was conducted using 88,155 blog posts, and frequency analysis and clique cohesion analysis were conducted. Six elements were derived through a literature review, and two elements were added to analyze the perception and the characteristics of healing places. As a result, visitors considered place elements, date and time, social elements, and activity elements more important than personnel, psychological elements, plants and color, and form and shape when visiting healing places. The analysis allowed the derivation of perceptions and characteristics of healing places through keywords. From the results of the Clique, keywords, such as places, date and time, and relationship, were clustered, so it was possible to know where, when, what time, and with whom people were visiting places for healing. Through the study, the perception and characteristics of healing places were derived by analyzing large-scale data written by visitors. It was confirmed that specific elements could be used in planning and marketing.

A Simulation Study on Improvements of Speech Processing Strategy of Cochlear Implants Using Adaptation Effect of Inner Hair Cell and Auditory Nerve Synapse (청각신경 시냅스의 적응 효과를 이용한 인공와우 어음처리 알고리즘의 개선에 대한 시뮬레이션 연구)

  • A novel envelope extraction algorithm for speech processor of cochlear implants, called adaptation algorithm, was developed which is based on a adaptation effect of the inner hair cell(IHC)/auditory nerve(AN) synapse. We achieved acoustic simulation and hearing experiments with 12 normal hearing persons to compare this adaptation algorithm with existent standard envelope extraction method. The results shows that speech processing strategy using adaptation algorithm showed significant improvements in speech recognition rate under most channel/noise condition, compared to conventional strategy We verified that the proposed adaptation algorithm may yield better speech perception under considerable amount of noise, compared to the conventional speech processing strategy.

  • 낱자 또는 음절들을 매우 짧게 제시하고 차폐로 지운 후 두 낱자 중하나를 선택하는 과제 (Reicher, 1969)를 사용하여 음절 맥락에서 낱자 지각에 영향을 주는 변수들과 그 배후 지각과정들을 검토하였다. 자모 조합유형이 음절 내 낱자의 정체 파악에 체계적으로 영향을 주고 있었고, 예상과는 달리 음절 내의 낱자들이 단독으로 제시되는 낱자 보다 잘 파악되지 않는 음절열등효과가 일관되게 관찰되었다. 본 연구의 세 실험 결과들을 상호작용활성화 모형과 초보지각자-기억자 모형에 비추어 논의하였다.

Perception and use of gait measures among physical therapists in South Korea

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the physical therapists' perception of the use of gait measures, the frequency of the gait measures used, and also to identify the barriers that limit the use of these assessment tools. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Physical therapists from the Seoul, Gyeonggi area from March to July 2016 were included in the study. Over the course of 18 weeks, a cross-sectional study was conducted with a self-report questionnaire. A total of 700 questionnaires were distributed and 350 questionnaires (50%) were collected, however with the exclusion of 140 questionnaires due to non-consent, a total of 210 questionnaires (30%) were analysed. Results: Out of the 10 standardized assessment tools, the therapists showed the highest perception for the timed up and go test (TUG [n=153, 72.9%]) and they also had high perception for the 10 meters walk test (10MWT [n=149, 71.0%]), and 6-minute walk test (6MWT [n=123, 58.6%]). The respondents answered that the TUG (n=116, 55.2%), 10MWT (n=100, 47.6%), and 6MWT (n=51, 24.3%) was used the most often. On the contrary, only four (1.9%) therapists have used the Chedoke-McMaster stroke assessment and the Rivermead Mobility Index. The lack of time was considered as the most important barrier to the use of assessment tools in clinical practice. Conclusions: Through this study, it has been shown that the domestic physical therapists used the TUG and the 10MWT mainly due to high recognition and evaluation status; however, the lack of time was the greatest impediment to the clinical application of the gait assessment tools.

A Survey on the Perception of Gruel as Medicated Juk for Menu Development - Focusing on the Elders in Daejon area - (약선죽(藥膳粥) 메뉴개발을 위한 인식조사 - 대전지역 노인을 중심으로 -)

  • The objective of this study was to research the health status of the elderly population and their perception and compliance to cook medicated juk. The results from this research will be used as basic data for medicated juk development. In addition, the purpose of this study was to find a way to popularize the juk and improve their usage as medicated juk in communal feeding and convalescent hospital for elderly. The study surveyed 300 elderly residents of age over 65, in Daejeon. The following data were collected: general characteristic, health status, perception of medicated juk, and preferred kind of juk for cooking. Moreover, the study researched the constraints in cooking the juk. Data were analyzed by SPSS Windows V. 18.0 and t-test verified the differences among the questions, according to frequency analysis of each item and characteristics of the aged. You might want to specify this characteristic. Within the surveyed elderly population, 80.6% had various existing diseases with circulatory diseases being the most prevalent with 68.9%. This emphasizes on the significance of proper diet, but this recognition is not put into practice. The survey also showed that as the individuals age, they tend to care less about the necessity of proper diet. Despite of this lack of perception, 84.5% of the elderly population responded positively to the question, "Would you like to have medicated juk for curing diseases, if such juk is available?" In addition, the elderly population was in favor of developing the juk that helps to prevent and cure diseases, and many were willing to cook them. The reasons behind their will to cook are arranged in the following order: higher efficacy in curing disease than regular juk, excellence in nutrition, and unavailability of the medicated juk in the stores that requires them to cook. The sources constraining the elderly population in cooking are arranged in the following order: not knowing how to cook the juk, lack of physical strength, financial burden, and lack of information order. Please clarify this part. Suggested change: not knowing what medicated juk is. Furthermore, the main obstacle in cooking the juk is lack of cooking technique, followed by inaccessibility to the ingredients and the financial burden to purchase the ingredients.

A Study on the Perception of Image-making Regulations Change of Airline Cabin Crew and Career Decision

  • The purpose of study is to identify the perception of image-making regulations change of airline cabin crew and analyze the relationship among the perception of regulations change, occupational choice motives and career decision of female university students majoring in airline service in Kwang-ju and Jeonnam area. The survey was in 203 for a month from November 18 to December 13, 2019. The collected data were analyzed using 'SPSS statistics 21.0.' Analytical methods such as frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis and multiple regression analysis were used. The findings of this study are presented as follows: Students majoring in airline service are positively aware of image-making regulations changes of airline cabin crew, positive perception of regulation changes has a statistically significant impact on occupational choice motives and career decision, and occupational choice motives have an effects on career decision. In conclusion, the study has implications for providing information to airlines to understand the applicants and to students preparing for employment. However, there is a limitation in that the sample of this study is limited to only female university students majoring in airline services in a specific area, and the size of the sample is not large.
