50 kHz 체장어군탐지기용 분할 빔 음향 변환기의 개발 (Development of Split-beam Acoustic Transducer for a 50 kHz Fish Sizing Echo Sounder)

  • An improved split-beam transducer for a 50 kHz fish-sizing echo sounder was developed. The main objective of this study was to minimize the side lobe level in the beam pattern and the distance between acoustic centers for adjacent transducer quadrants in the geometrical arrangement of array elements while maintaining a given number of transducer elements and beam width. To achieve these goals, a 32-element planar array transducer ($6{\times}6$ array with one element in each corner missing) was designed using the Dolph-Chebyshev shading function to suppress side lobes in the array beam pattern and fabricated by arranging the inter-element spacing to be substantially equal to half the wavelength using the transducer element of 0.4 times the wavelength in diameter. The performance characteristics of this split-beam transducer were evaluated in the experimental water tank of $5m{\times}5m{\times}6m$ (length${\times}$height${\times}$width). In this study, the design goal of the beam width and side lobe level for transmitting a beam pattern was initially set at $21^{\circ}$ and -30 dB, respectively. However, the measured beam width at 3 dB was $21^{\circ}$ in both directions with side lobe levels of -24.7 dB in the horizontal plane and -25.6 dB in the vertical plane. The averaged beam width at -3 dB of the receiving beam patterns for four receiving quadrants was $31.4^{\circ}$. The transmitting voltage response was 161.5 dB (re $1{\mu}Pa$/V at 1 m) at 50.23 kHz with a bandwidth of 2.16 kHz, and the averaged receiving sensitivity for four receiving quadrants was -178.13 dB (re 1 V/${\mu}Pa$) at 49.8 kHz with a bandwidth of 2.64 kHz.

척수전근내 구심흥분을 받는 척수신경세포의 생리학적 특성 (Electrophysiological Characteristics of Spinal Neurons Receiving Ventral Root Afferent Inputs in the Cat)

  • The physiological characteristics of the neurons receiving the ventral root afferent inputs were investigated in the cat. A total of 70 cells were identified in the lumbosacral spinal cord. All these cells responded only to the C-strength stimulation of the distal stump of cut ventral root and the estimated conduction velocities of the VRA fibers were not faster than 4 m/sec. The majority of them were silent in resting state. For 49 cells, their peripheral receptive fields were characterized. Among them, 25 cells were exclusively excited by VRA inputs, 8 were inhibited and the remaining cells recevied both excitatory and inhibitory VRA inputs. According to the response pattern to the mechanical stimuli applied to their receptive fields, only a fourth of them were typical high threshold cell, a sixth, wide dynamic range cells, while remainings were a rather complex cells. Most of the cells receiving VRA inputs, received only the A ${\delta}-peripheral$ nerve inputs. Intravenous injection of morphine decreased the response of spinal cells to the VRA activation. The responses were abolished completely by counter irritation to the common peroneal nerve with C-strength-low frequency stimuli. These physiological properties of the spinal neurons receiving the VRA inputs are differ in some aspect from the spinal neurons receiving nociceptive inputs from the periphery, but still were consistent with the contention that VRA system might carry nociceptive informations arising from the spinal cord and/or neraby surrounding tissues.

유무선 통합 인트라넷 환경에서 데이터 전송 성능 측정 및 분석 (Measurement and Analysis of Performance to Transfer Data in a Wireless-Cum-Wired Intra-Network)

  • 고속 무선 랜 환경에서 PDA(Personal Digital Assistants)를 이용한 멀티미디어 데이터 전송 시스템의 성능을 측정하고 분석하기 위하여, 음성 데이터론 송 수신할 수 있는 보이스 메신저 시스템(VMS, Voice Messenger System)을 설계하고 구현하였다. VMS는 IEEE 802.11b 표준(2.4GHz 대역폭)의 무선 인트라넷과 일반 이더넷인 유선 인터넷을 통합하는 인프라스트럭처(Infrastructure) 네트워크로 구성되었다. 음성 데이터를 일정한 패킷 크기(256∼6656바이트)로 나누어 전송하면서 송$.$수신시간 및 RTT(Round- Trip Time)를 측정하였다. 또한 CF 방식과 PCMCIA 방식의 무선 NIC 중 어느 것이 무선 랜 환경에서 더 안정적인지 실험해 보았다. 실험 결과 PCDCIA 방식이 CF 방식보다 더 효과적이며 안정적임을 확인하였다. 한편 무선 NIC를 장착한 노트북 컴퓨터를 VMS클라이언트로 사용할 경우 음성 데이터 송$.$수신 시 전송 패킷 크기에 상관없이 일정한 성능을 보였다. 그러나 PDA 클라이언트의 경우, 데이터 수신 시에는 패킷 크기가 6656바이트일 때, 송신 시에는 패킷 크기가 4096바이트일 때 전송 효율이 가장 좋았다. 같은 전송 패킷 크기를 사용할 경우에도 PDA클라이언트가 VMS 서버로부터 패킷온 수신하는 데 걸리는 시간이 PDA클라이언트가 VMS 서버에게 송신하는 데 걸리는 시간보다 더 오래 걸렸다. 따라서 PDA를 VMS 클라이언트로 사용한 경우 송$\cdot$수신별로 각기 다른 전송 패킷 크기를 적용한다면 보다 나은 전송 성능을 얻을 수 있다.

  • 송광광학계의 광원으로 사용되는 광섬유 레이저의 개구수, NA가 0.13~0.22의 범위에 있으면, 이 NA에 관계없이 1 km 전방에서 빔직경이 4.8 m 또는 6.8 m이 되도록 줌렌즈형 광속확대기를 적용한 송광광학계를 설계하였으며, 표적에서의 foot prints를 통하여 빔직경을 확인하였다. $16{\times}16$($100{\mu}m{\times}100{\mu}m$) 픽셀 검출기를 사용하는 수광광학계를 설계하였으며, 검출면의 픽셀 위치에 따른 spot diameter는 모두 $55{\mu}m$ 이하가 됨을 확인하였다. 스캔을 고려하여 송광광학계를 수광부 대물렌즈에 내접하도록 구성하였으며, 이때 송광부에 의하여 가려진 부분은 11%가 되었다.

화포탄용 원격측정 시스템 개발 (A Telemetry System for Ammunition)

  • Recently, telemetry systems are used to test and evaluate of ammunition. When a transmitting signal from a small transmitter mounted inside the ammunition is sent out, the receiving equipments get real-time RF data. This paper relates to the development of a small high-G endurable transmitter and a portable receiving equipment. The system was tested and confirmed 00 km communication range.

한약 투여가 허혈성 질환 환자의 혈액 응고계에 미치는 영향 (Herbal Medicines Effect on Coagulation System of Ischemic Patients)

  • Many ischemic disease patients have been taking herbal medicine and there are some papers that prescription of herbal medicine to ischemic disease patients are useful. Mechanism of herbal medicines on ischmeic disease have been investigated in many ways, but anticougulation or anti platelet effect of herbal medicines is not known obviously. And recently patients receiving anticougulation therapy are discouraged from taking herbal medicines. In this study, we investigate PT, INR, platelet of patients receiving herbal medicine therapy to study whether herbal medicines effect coagulation system of ischemic patients. In PT, INR, platelet values obtained from the patients, before and after administering herbal medicine, there were no significant changes.

  • A portable near infrared (NIR) system which was newly integrated by our lab has been used to develop a non-invasive blood glucose monitoring. The portable NIR system includes a tungsten halogen lamp, a photo diode array type-InGaAs detector, and specialized reflectance fiber optic probes. The shape of probes is composed of two parts. one for illumination into sample and the other for receiving the radiation from sample. Three kinds of probes with different distance between illumination and receiving part. such as 0.03. 0.1. and 0.5mm, were investigated for optimization. (omitted)

  • This paper describes the design, the manufacture and the development of th eautomatic gain control unit which ajdusts the gain of IF processor in the high sensitive & multifunctional receiver unit (HMR) for pulse doppler radar system. Accodording to the effective distnce of target, radar cross section, and a lot of external environments (such as clutter), the receiving stage of RADAR system often deviates from dynamic range. To solve this kind o fproblem, continuous/pulse wave AGC are realized, make it possible to control the gain characteristics of receiver stably, and can increase dynamic range linearly by adjusting the gain slope of receiver which is limited by 1-dB gain compression point. In this study, AGC unit is designed to regulate the total gain of receiver by using te analog feedback theory. It also has rapid enough response to process pulse signal. This study presents the gain control method of IF, the real manufacture technique (the package-type components) and the measurement performance of AGC.

  • "Side scan sonar" using acoustic signal has been developed to survey cable laying, sunken bodie\ulcorner bottom and so on. It use the acoustic signals, which are emitted from two transducer arrays, to get gemetri\ulcorner target area. This system consists of transceiver board, towed body, and deck unit. The transceiver board, w\ulcorner watertight canister of the towed body, controls the transmitting and receiving of 400kHz acoustic signals from \ulcorner After receiving the scattered signals, it processes the filtering, AGF(Automatic Gain Control), TVG(Time Heterodyne. The deck unit is composed of the signal processing part, A/D converter, power supplier, and real\ulcorner And the towed body has been designed to satisfy the optimal hydrodynamic behavior during towing. The de\ulcorner theory of transceiving part and some results from field-experiments will be introduced here.

  • This research focuses on a network based data distribution and visualization system of Multi-functional Tran-port SATellite (MTSAT). Institute of Industrial Science (IIS) and Institute of Earthquake Research Institute (ERI) both at University of Tokyo have been receiving, processing, archiving and distributing of MTSAT imagery with a direct receiving of High Rate Information Transmit (HRIT) since October 2006. A software package, mtsatgeo, is developed including radiometric correction, geometric correction and spatial subset, and they are available on a web-based data distribution and processing service accessed at http://webgms.iis.u-tokyo.ac.jp/.
