  • In this paper, spoofing effects on a GNSS receiver were analyzed. The spoofer (spoofing device) was classified to two categories. One is an active spoofer and the other is a passive spoofer. The active spoofer was considered for analysis. For the analysis of spoofing effects on a GNSS receiver, a real-time GNSS spoofing simulator was developed. The simulator was consisted with two parts which are a baseband signal generation part and a RF up-conversion part. The first GNSS baseband signal was generated according to spoofing parameters such as range, range rate, GNSS navigation data, spoofing to GNSS signal ratio, and etc. The generated baseband signal was up-converted to GNSS L1 band. Then the signal transmitted to a GNSS signal. For a perfect spoofing, a spoofer knew an accurate position and velocity of a spoofing target. But, in real world, that is not nearly possible. Although uncertainty of position and velocity of the target was existed, the spoofer was operated as an efficient jammer.

  • By wireless transmission data, there is high possibility to get distortion and lose by noise and barrier on wireless. If the data check damaged and lost at receiver, can't make it clear and can't judge whether this data is right or not. Therefore, by wireless transmission data need the data error check algorithm in order to decrease the data's distortion and lose and to monitoring the transmission data as real time. This study consists of RF station for wireless transmission, Water Level Meter station for water level measurement and Error check algorithm for error check of transmission data. This study is also that investigation and search for error check algorithm in order to wireless digital data transmission in condition of the least data's damage and lose. Designed transmitter and receiver with one - chip micro process to protect to swell the volume of circuit. Had designed RF transmitter - receiver station simply by means of ATMEL one - chip micro process in the systems. Used 10mW of the best RF power and 448MHz-449MHz on frequency band which can get permission to use by Frequency Law made by Korean government

  • In this paper, we propose the efficient Doppler removal method using map-based partial-time common intermediate frequency removal technique. In the proposed algorithm, the 2-stage carrier removal process was used. First, the component of common intermediate frequency is removed. Next the component of Doppler was removed with averaging and approximation. For the evaluation of the proposed algorithm, The real-time software GPS L1 C/A-code receiver was implemented. When the proposed algorithms are used, 12 tracking channels with 3 track arm(early, prompt, late) is operated real-time on PC using a Intel Pentium-III 1.0GHz CPU. Also, the requirement of memory was less than 2Mbytes. The real-time software GNSS receiver using the proposed algorithms provides the navigation solution with below 10 meter rms error. Especially, in spited of using the various approximations for implementing the algorithms, the high sensitivity capability (able to track the weak signal with -159dBm) was achieved.

  • This paper presents a direct-conversion CMOS transceiver for fully digital DS-UWB systems. The transceiver includes all of the radio building blocks, such as a T/R switch, a low noise amplifier, an I/Q demodulator, a low pass filter, a variable gain amplifier as a receiver, the same receiver blocks as a transmitter including a phase-locked loop (PLL), and a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO). A single-ended-to-differential converter is implemented in the down-conversion mixer and a differential-to-single-ended converter is implemented in the driver amplifier stage. The chip is fabricated on a 9.0 $mm^2$ die using standard 0.18 ${\mu}m$ CMOS technology and a 64-pin MicroLead Frame package. Experimental results show the total current consumption is 143 mA including the PLL and VCO. The chip has a 3.5 dB receiver gain flatness at the 660 MHz bandwidth. These results indicate that the architecture and circuits are adaptable to the implementation of a wideband, low-power, and high-speed wireless personal area network.

  • The simulation analyses of a solar power system with monolithic concentrator by using a stirling engine are carried out to predict the system performance in four test sites. The site has different intensities and distributions of direct solar radiation respectively. Seoul, Pusan and Cheju in Korea, and Naha in Japan are selected as test sites. To accomplish the same demand of a 25 kW output that the power level of a system has, it needs to take the matching of collector/receiver with engine/generator systems. In such a case, also, the size of the collector is sometimes adjusted. In this study, the diameter of the collector is decided by using the solar radiation of design point, which is defined as the sum of average and standard deviation $\sigma$ of maximum direct solar radiation distribution for a day during a year in the respective test site. It is found that the average power output during the system operating time in the case of slope error ${\sigma}_s=2.5$ is within the range of 9 to 13 kW.

  • The GPS tracking loop consists of three parts in general: discriminator, loop filter and DCO (Digitally Controlled Oscillator). The loop filter is the main part of the tracking loop designed to ensure a good tracking performance. Generally, the loop filter is designed using classical PI(Proportional Integral) control. Although the carrier Doppler and code Doppler are generated by the same relative movement between the satellite and the user, often, the loop filters for each tracking loop are designed separately and independently. Sometimes, they are used in a combined manner such as carrier aided code tracking, FLL assisted PLL, etc. For better GPS signal tracking, we need to design the FLL/PLL/DLL altogether optimally. The purpose of this paper is to design a GPS receiver tracking loop based on the Kalman filter in a combined manner. Also, the proposed GPS receiver tracking loop is compared with a conventional tracking loop in terms of the transfer function and the DCO input. This paper shows that conventional tracking loop is equal to the Kalman filter based tracking loop.

  • In this paper, we propose a new method that combines antenna array, which employs any beamforming algorithm, and successive interference cancelling multiuser detector which improves the performance of the receiver and analyse its performance. Antenna away receivers can improve the performance by spatially discriminating among the users and reducing the multiple access interference. But the performance of the receivers degrades when the difference of the direction of arrival of the users are too small. Many interference cancelling multiuser detectors have been suggested for DS/CDMA systems which have low complexity for their performance. In this paper, we show how to mitigate such a degradation by combining successive interference cancelling multiuser detector.

  • In this thesis, We analyze performance evaluation of one channel B-WLL IF receiver system. Among the item of receiver performance, inter-modulation interference and yield analysis is especially focused. Since inter-modulation interference cause bad influence on system performance due to unwanted third order harmonic located in desired frequency band, third order harmonic causing inter-modulation interference should be efficiently removed. Yield analysis is observing influence on system performance when system element parameter is statistically varied, and in this thesis, system output is observed for LNA parameters. Additionally, Scheme for LNA gain adjustment to reduce inter-modulation interference is proposed by observing variation of third order harmonic output for LNA gain variation.

  • Diffuse wireless optical communication offers more robust optical links in terms of coverage and shadowing than line-of-sight links. However, traditional diffuse wireless infrared (IR) transceiver systems are more susceptible to multi-path distortion and great power decrease, which results in limiting high-speed performance. Multi-beam is an effective technique to compensate for multi-path distortion in a wireless infrared environment. The goal of this paper is to analyze the transmission characteristics by replacing traditional diffuse system (TDS) which contains single wide angle transmitter and single element receiver by system consisting of three-beam transmitter and non-imaging receiver (TNS) attached with compound parabolic concentrator (CPC). In the simulation, we use the recursive model developed by Barry and Kahn and build the scenario based on 10 different cases which have been listed in Table 1. Moreover, we also check the reliability of the TNS diffuse link channel by BER test on the basis of different receiver positions and room sizes. The simulation results not only show the basic transmission characteristics of TNS diffuse link, but also are references to design more efficient and reliable indoor infrared transmission systems.

  • Load redistribution algorithm is a critical factor in computer system. In a receiver-initiated load redistribution algorithm, receiver(underloaded processor) continues to send unnecessary request messages for load transfer until a sender(overloaded processor) is found while the system load is light. Therefore, it yields many problems such as low CPU utilization and system throughput because of inefficient inter-processor communications until the receiver receives an accept message from the sender in this environment. This paper presents an approach based on genetic. algorithm(GA) for dynamic load redistribution in heterogeneous distributed systems. In this scheme the processors to which the requests are sent off are determined by the proposed GA to decrease unnecessary request messages.
