경수로 사용후핵연료 건식저장시스템의 격납감시 기술현황 분석 (Status Analysis for the Confinement Monitoring Technology of PWR Spent Nuclear Fuel Dry Storage System)

  • Leading national R&D project to design a PWR spent nuclear fuel interim dry storage system that has been under development since mid-2009, which consists of a dual purpose metal cask and concrete storage cask. To ensure the safe operation of dry storage systems in foreign countries, major confinement monitoring techniques currently consist of pressure and temperature measurement. In the case of a dual purpose metal cask, a pressure sensor is installed in the interspace of bolted double lid(primary and secondary lid) in order to measure pressure. A concrete storage cask is a canister based system made of double/redundant welded lid to ensure confinement integrity. For this reason, confinement monitoring method is real time temperature measurement by thermocouple placed in the air flow(air intake and exit) of the concrete structure(over pack and module). The use of various monitoring technologies and operating experiences for the interim dry storage system over the last decades in foreign countries were analyzed. On the basis of the analysis above, development of the confinement monitoring technology that can be used optimally in our system will be available in the near future.

이동 로봇의 장애물회피를 위한 퍼지제어기와 실시간 제어시스템 적용을 위한 저(低)복잡도 검색테이블 공유기법 (A Fuzzy Controller for Obstacle Avoidance Robots and Lower Complexity Lookup-Table Sharing Method Applicable to Real-time Control Systems)

  • Lookup-Table (LUT) based fuzzy controller for obstacle avoidance enhances operations faster in multiple obstacles environment. An LUT based fuzzy controller with Positive/Negative (P/N) fuzzy rule base consisting of 18 rules was introduced in our paper$^1$ and this paper shows a 50-rule P/N fuzzy controller for enhancing performance in obstacle avoidance. As a rule, the more rules are necessary, the more buffers are required. This paper suggests LUT sharing method in order to reduce LUT buffer size without significant degradation of performance. The LUT sharing method makes buffer size independent of the whole fuzzy system's complexity. Simulation using MSRDS(MicroSoft Robotics Developer Studio) evaluates the proposed method, and in order to investigate its performance, experiments are carried out to Pioneer P3-DX in the LabVIEW environment. The simulation and experiments show little difference between the fully valued LUT-based method and the LUT sharing method in operation times. On the other hand, LUT sharing method reduced its buffer size by about 95% of full valued LUT-based design.

Surf points based Moving Target Detection and Long-term Tracking in Aerial Videos

  • A novel method based on Surf points is proposed to detect and lock-track single ground target in aerial videos. Videos captured by moving cameras contain complex motions, which bring difficulty in moving object detection. Our approach contains three parts: moving target template detection, search area estimation and target tracking. Global motion estimation and compensation are first made by grids-sampling Surf points selecting and matching. And then, the single ground target is detected by joint spatial-temporal information processing. The temporal process is made by calculating difference between compensated reference and current image and the spatial process is implementing morphological operations and adaptive binarization. The second part improves KALMAN filter with surf points scale information to predict target position and search area adaptively. Lastly, the local Surf points of target template are matched in this search region to realize target tracking. The long-term tracking is updated following target scaling, occlusion and large deformation. Experimental results show that the algorithm can correctly detect small moving target in dynamic scenes with complex motions. It is robust to vehicle dithering and target scale changing, rotation, especially partial occlusion or temporal complete occlusion. Comparing with traditional algorithms, our method enables real time operation, processing $520{\times}390$ frames at around 15fps.

PPS시스템 이용 바이오디젤 혼합율에 따른 극미세입자 배출특성 비교 (Comparison of Nano-particle Emission Characteristics in CI Engine with Various Biodiesel Blending Rates by using PPS System)

  • The main purpose of this study is to analyze and compare the nano-particle emission characteristics by 3-different biodiesel blending rates in a CI engine. Nano-particle number density emitted from various operating conditions of compression ignition engine can be investigated by using the PPS (Pegasor Particle Sensor) system. Namely, some particle charged through the corona discharge in real-time can be measured by PPS system. Under the steady state operation of the 2.0L CRDi diesel engine with different operating condition and biodiesel blending rates, the nano-particle number density was analyzed at the downstream position of DOC system. As this research result, more engine load speed and higher the concentration of biodiesel blending rate showed that the nano-particle number density decreases. Also we found that DOC system for clean diesel engine is effectively useful instrument to reduce diesel particulate matter as resource of nano-particle generation.

  • In order to improve productivity and efficiency of ship production process, production technology converged with Information Technology can be considered. Mid-term scheduling based on long-term schedule of ship building and execution planning based on short-term production schedule have an important role in ship production processes and techniques. However, data used in the scheduling are from the experiences of the past, cognitive, and often inaccurate, moreover the updates of the data by formatted documents are not being performed efficiently. This paper designs the tracking and monitoring system for the curved plates forming process with shop level. At first step to it, we redefine and analyze the curved plates forming process by using SysML. From the definition and analysis of the curved plates forming process, we design the system with respect to operational view considering operational environment and interactions between systems included and scenario about operation, and with respect to system view considering functionalities and interfaces of the system. In order to study the feasibility of the system designed, a prototype of the system has been implemented with 13.56 MHz RHD hardware and application software.

  • 섬유기계산업은 생산성의 극대화를 위해 고속/정밀화를 추구하고 있으며 수요자의 요구에 따라 높은 내구성과 안정성, 신뢰성을 가진 기계를 요구하고 있다 본 연구에서는 워터제트직기를 대상으로 실제 운전 시 구동계에 토크센서를 부착하여 모듈별로 직기에 영향을 미치는 부하량을 측정 및 분석하였다 또한, 워터제트직기에 대한 동역학적 해석을 수행한 결과와 비교함으로서 섬유기계의 구동계에 대한 토크와 진동에 대한 계측 및 분석기술을 개발하고, 내구성과 안정성이 뛰어난 고부가가치의 섬유기계 개발에 대한 기초자료를 제시하였다.

엔진회전속도의 변화가 HCCI엔진연소에 미치는 영향에 관한 수치해석 연구 (The Research about Engine Speed change Effect on HCCI Engine Combustion by Numerical Analysis)

  • In HCCI Engine, combustion is affected by change of compression speed corresponding to engine speed. The purpose of this study is to investigate the mechanism of influence of engine speed on HCCI combustion characteristics by using numerical analysis. At first, the influence of engine speed was shown. And then, in order to clarify the mechanism of influence of engine speed, results of kinetics computations were analyzed to investigate the elementary reaction path for heat release at transient temperatures by using contribution matrix. In results, as engine speed increased, in-cylinder gas temperature and pressure at ignition start increased. And ignition start timing was retarded and combustion duration was lengthened on crank angle basis. On time basis, ignition start timing was advanced and combustion duration was shortened. High engine speed showed higher robustness to change of initial temperature than low engine speed. Because of its high robustness, selecting high engine speed was efficient for keeping stable operation in real engine which include variation of initial temperature by various factors. The variation of engine speed did not change the reaction path. But, as engine speed increased, the temperature that each elementary reaction would be active became high and reaction speed quicken. Rising the in-cylinder gas temperature of combustion start was caused by these gaps of temperature.

V2G 전기자동차의 부하관리 자원 활용을 위한 적정 지원금 산정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Decision of Appropriate Subsidy Levels Regarding Electric Vehicles for V2G as Load Management Resources)

  • Recently, various energy efficiency optimization activities are ongoing globally by integrating conventional grids with ICT (Information and Communication Technology). In this sense, various smart grid projects, which power suppliers and consumers exchange useful informations bilaterally in real time, have been being carried out. The electric vehicle diffusion program is one of the projects and it has been spotlighted because it could resolve green gas problem, fuel economy and tightening environmental regulations. In this paper, the economics of V2G system which consists of electric vehicles and the charging infrastructure is evaluated comparing electric vehicles for V2G with common electric vehicles. Additional benefits of V2G are analyzed in the viewpoint of load leveling, frequency regulation and operation reserve. To find this benefit, electricity sales is modeled mathematically considering depth of discharge, maximum capacity reduction, etc. Benefit and cost analysis methods with the modeling are proposed to decide whether the introduction of V2G systems. Additionally, the methods will contribute to derive the future production and the unit cost of electric vehicle and battery and to get the technical and economic analysis.

추적 레이다의 대전자전 설계 (ECCM Design of Tracking Radar)

  • 추적 레이다 시스템은 대양에서 운용 중인 함정 표적에 대하여 실시간으로 표적을 탐색, 탐지하여 추적하는 펄스방식의 추적 시스템이다. 함정에서는 추적 레이다를 혼란 또는 기만하기 위한 소프트 킬 동작을 통하여 스스로를 방어한 다. 소프트 킬 동작에는 수동적으로 동작하는 채프 등이 있고 능동적으로 동작하는 잡음 재밍 등 여러 동작들이 있다. 본 논문에서는 전자전에 대한 기본적인 개념을 이해하고 함정에서 운용중인 다양한 기만체계에 대하여 설명한다. 또한 각각의 기만체계를 대응하기 위한 레이다 시스템 설계에 대하여 설명한다.

A Runge-Kutta scheme for smart control mechanism with computer-vision robotics

  • A novel approach that the smart control of robotics can be realized by a fuzzy controller and an appropriate Runge-Kutta scheme in this paper. A recently proposed integral inequality is selected based on the free weight matrix, and the less conservative stability criterion is given in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). We demonstrate that this target information obtained through image processing is subjected to smart control with computer-vision robotic to Arduino, and the infrared beacon was utilized for the operation of practical illustrations. A fuzzy controller derived with a fuzzy Runge-Kutta type functions is injected into the system and then the system is stabilized asymptotically. In this study, a fuzzy controller and a fuzzy observer are proposed via the parallel distributed compensation technique to stabilize the system. This paper achieves the goal of real-time following of three vehicles and there are many areas where improvements were made. Finally, each information is transmitted to Arduino via I2C to follow the self-propelled vehicle. The proposed calculation is approved in reproductions and ongoing smart control tests.
