A Real Time Traffic Flow Model Based on Deep Learning

  • Urban development has brought about the increasing saturation of urban traffic demand, and traffic congestion has become the primary problem in transportation. Roads are in a state of waiting in line or even congestion, which seriously affects people's enthusiasm and efficiency of travel. This paper mainly studies the discrete domain path planning method based on the flow data. Taking the traffic flow data based on the highway network structure as the research object, this paper uses the deep learning theory technology to complete the path weight determination process, optimizes the path planning algorithm, realizes the vehicle path planning application for the expressway, and carries on the deployment operation in the highway company. The path topology is constructed to transform the actual road information into abstract space that the machine can understand. An appropriate data structure is used for storage, and a path topology based on the modeling background of expressway is constructed to realize the mutual mapping between the two. Experiments show that the proposed method can further reduce the interpolation error, and the interpolation error in the case of random missing is smaller than that in the other two missing modes. In order to improve the real-time performance of vehicle path planning, the association features are selected, the path weights are calculated comprehensively, and the traditional path planning algorithm structure is optimized. It is of great significance for the sustainable development of cities.

High-speed Integer Operations in the Fuzzy Consequent Part and the Defuzzification Stage for Intelligent Systems (지능 시스템을 위한 퍼지 후건부 및 비퍼지화 단계의 고속 정수연산)

  • In a fuzzy control system to process fuzzy data in high-speed for intelligent systems, one of the important problems is the improvement of the execution speed in the fuzzy inference and defuzzification stages. Especially, it is more important to have high-speed operations in the consequent part and defuzzification stage. Therefore, in this paper, to improve the speedup of the fuzzy controllers for intelligent systems, we propose an integer line mapping algorithm using only integer addition to convert [0,1] real values in the fuzzy membership functions in the consequent part to integer grid pixels $(400{\times}30)$. This paper also shows a novel defuzzification algorithm without multiplications. Also we apply the proposed system to the truck backer-upper control system. As a result, this system shows a real-time very high speed fuzzy control as compared as the conventional methods. This system will be applied to the real-time high-speed intelligent systems such as robot arm control.

  • The control modes used in teleoperation are position control mode, and rate control mode. This paper presents the problems of the conventional control modes, through simulation, proposes an intelligent mixed control mode that converts the operation mode between the position mode and the rate mode intelligently by judging the operator's intention using the real-time measurement data. The effectiveness of the proposed intelligent mixed control mode is demonstrated and compared to other typical control modes through simulation and actual experiment.

  • Virtual Manufacturing System(VMS) is a computer model that represents the precise and whole structure of manufacturing systems and simulates their physical and logical behavior in operation. In this paper, a real time simulation for the virtual factory is proposed to integrate a process planning with scheduling under distributed environments. In order to communicate the information under distributed environments, we use a server/client concept using socket program and internet.

Digital Controller of a Diesel Generator using an Embedded System

  • We have designed an embedded controller for the control of a diesel generator using an embedded system. The generator is monitored and controlled remotely via the internet in real-time. The proposed digital controller is designed to handle precisely the distortions and noises of the signals emanating from the diesel generator, and enables abnormal operation of the diesel generator to be notified to the remote manager using the Short Message Service (SMS) of the Internet, which enables the appropriate personnel to take action by remote control according to the incoming messages.

  • Network management is responsible for gathering information on the usage of the network media by the network devices, ensuring the correct operation of the network, and providing reports. MAP network management must provide the high reliability of the media and signaling method, even in very harsh environments, providing a very low bit error rate and minimum number of retransmission. In this paper, we analysed the framework of OSI management and MAP network management and discussed the implementation method of fault management and remote management mechanism in the Mini-MAP controller developed for IBM-PC.

  • This paper represents the control software development for Direct Drive Arm Robot with the WHILE language composed the 68000 assembly language and high level language modula-2. Direct Drive Ann Robot needs the control program which is fast step and exactly position moving because Direct Drive Arm Robt depends on accuracy. We found that the self-tuning algorithm for this robot control is very good for the real time control and the floating point operation using the 32 bit CPU(MC 68020) controller.

  • A large scale programmable controller is developed which adopts a multiprocessor structure. The developed programmable controller consists of the programmer, the system controller, and the input-output unit. The structure and characteristics of the system controller will be described. The PC has a special hardware scheme to solve the Boolean logic instructions of the sequence control programs. The multiprocessor structure and the special hardware enables, the real time operation and the high speed scanning which is prerequisite to the large scale, programmable controller even for many I/O points.

  • An integrated operation method of production control system for chemical-product job-shops is presented in this paper. A possible application of real-time control system is suggested to handle data from laboratory materials requirements to finished product shipment. A low cost intra-net is constructed to be used as the system network and applications are developed using Visual Basic. CGI programming is done to interface the applications with necessary databases.

  • In this paper, the application schemes for coordinated control system of multiple FACTS were presented to enhance the voltage stability around the metropolitan areas. In order to coordinated control of FACTS devices, f-V analysis method which is one of the indices for voltage stability was performed with real time network data which is transferred from SCADA/EMS system. If the system is unstable after contingencies, the new operation set-point of FACTS would be determined using bus sensitivity from tangent vector at voltage instability point. Otherwise, we would determine the new operation set-point of FACTS for considering economical operation, like as active power loss minimization using Optimal Power Flow algorithm. In simulation, the SCADA/EMS 2007's data are used for studying the coordinated control algorithm of multiple FACTS devices that is installed or will be installed in KOREA power system
