지능형 네트워크를 이용한 이동 로봇의 이동장애물 회피 응용 (Moving Obstacles Collision Avoidance of a Mobile Robot using an Intelligent Network)

  • This paper proposes a new construction method of neural networks. The construction method consists of two fundmental ideas, which are a parallel selection-style evaluation and rules evolution. A new collision avoidance algorithm using genetic and neural network is proposed to avoid moving obstacles such as mobile robots. The input parameters of this algorithm is position of moving obstacles and target. Output is a regenerated direction of mobile robot. This algorithm is very simple and so, it is available to application of real time process. The pattern of collision avoidance is learned through test execution.

  • 본 논문에서는 3차원 일대일 충돌 감지, 충돌 회피 및 경로점 유도를 위한 알고리듬에 대해 다룬다. 항공기는 질점 모델로 가정하였다. 충돌 감지는 최근접점까지 남은 시간과 그 때의 거리를 기준 값과 비교하여 수행하였다. 충돌 회피는 최적 제어 이론을 이용하여 최종 시간에서의 상대 거리를 최대화하는 가속도 입력을 계산하여 수행하였다. 경로점 유도는 잘 알려진 비례항법유도를 적용하였다. 제안된 알고리듬의 성능은 두 개의 시나리오를 통하여 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 지능형 선박의 실시간 장애물회피를 위한 충돌회피시스템을 논한다. 다른 무인자율항체들의 충돌회피시스템과는 달리 지능형 선박의 충돌회피시스템은 목적지까지의 합리적이고 안전한 경로를 통한 충돌회피뿐만 아니라 해양을 항해하는 모든 선박이 준수해야하는 국제해상충돌예방규칙(COLRECs, International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea)을 반영해야한다. 목적지까지의 합리적이고 안전한 경로를 통한 충돌회피라는 일반적인 충돌회피시스템의 목표를 달성하기 위해 BK-곱에 기반한 휴리스틱 탐색기법을 채용하며, 또 다른 목표인 COLREGs의 준수를 위해 충돌회피를 위한 규칙을 적용하는 지식기반시스템을 채용한다. 제안된 충돌회피시스템의 성능검증을 위해 COLREGs에 명시된 여러 가지 조우상황을 설정한 시나리오를 이용하여 최적성과 안정성 관점에서 시뮬레이션을 수행하고 그 결과를 $A^{\ast}$ 탐색기법과 비교한다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안된 충돌회피시스템이 지능형 선박의 실용적이고 효율적인 실시간 충돌회피시스템으로 적합함을 확인하였다.

Internet-based Real-time Obstacle Avoidance of a Mobile Robot

  • In this research, a remote control system has been developed and implemented, which combines autonomous obstacle avoidance in real-time with force-reflective tele-operation. A tele-operated mobile robot is controlled by a local two-degrees-of-freedom force-reflective joystick that a human operator holds while he is monitoring the screen. In the system, the force-reflective joystick transforms the relation between a mobile robot and the environment to the operator as a virtual force which is generated in the form of a new collision vector and reflected to the operator. This reflected force makes the tele-operation of a mobile robot safe from collision in an uncertain and obstacle-cluttered remote environment. A mobile robot controlled by a local operator usually takes pictures of remote environments and sends the images back to the operator over the Internet. Because of limitations of communication bandwidth and the narrow view-angles of the camera, the operator cannot observe shadow regions and curved spaces frequently. To overcome this problem, a new form of virtual force is generated along the collision vector according to both distance and approaching velocity between an obstacle and the mobile robot, which is obtained from ultrasonic sensors. This virtual force is transferred back to the two-degrees-of-freedom master joystick over the Internet to enable a human operator to feel the geometrical relation between the mobile robot and the obstacle. It is demonstrated by experiments that this haptic reflection improves the performance of a tele-operated mobile robot significantly.

  • This paper analyses the real-time performance of Ethernet based intranet whether it is applicable to the real-time network. Unpredictability of transmission delay by collision-delay-retransmission mechanism in CAMA/CD(Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Detect) of Ethernet is the major reason making hard to apply to real-time system. Both retransmission mechanism of TCP(Transmission Control Protocol) for reliability and sliding windows algorithm for high utilization make hard to predict transmission delay.   • This paper presents collision avoidance for mobile robots equipped with synchro-drive using curvature trajectory by the obstacle type. he new real-time obstacle avoidance method presents how to create a curvature trajectory in which dynamics of a mobile robot is considered we controlled translation and rotational velocity of the mobile robot. Using these two speeds with curvature trajectory, the mobile robot navigates to target point without collision. We consider that the robot going to curvature trajectory by obstacle size towards a goal location. The collision avoidance has been implemented and tested using pioneer2-dxe mobile robot.

  • Due to the inherent nature of the low flying UAV, obstacle detection is a fundamental requirement in the flight path to avoid the collision from obstacles as well as manned aircraft. In this paper, a preliminary sensor requirements of an obstacle detection system for UAV in low-altitude flight are analyzed, and the automated obstacle detection sensor system is proposed assessing both passive and active sensors such as EO camera, IR, Laser radar, microwave and millimeter radar. In addition, TCAS (Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System) are reviewed for the collision avoidance of the manned aircraft system. It is suggested that small-sized radar sensor is the best candidate for the smart UAV because an active radar can provide the real-time informations on range and range rate in the all-weather environment. However, an important constraints on small UAV should be resolved in terms of accommodation of the mass, volume, and power allocated in the payload of the UAV system design requirements.

Routing and Collision Avoidance of Linear Motor based Transfer Systems using Online Dynamic Programming

  • Significant increase of container flows in the marine terminals requires more efficient port equipments such as logistic and transfer systems. This paper presents collision avoidance and routing approach based on dynamic programming (DP) algorithm for a linear motor based shuttle car which is considered as a new transfer system in the port terminals. Most of routing problems are focused on automatic guided vehicle (AGV) systems, but its solutions are hardly utilized for LM based shuttle cars since both are mechanically different. Our proposed DP is implemented for real-time searching of an optimal path for each shuttle car in the Agile port terminal located at California in USA.

  • 비행중인 다른 항공기를 회피하며 항공기를 목표점까지 유도하는 문제를 2차원 평면에서 고려하였다. 항공기는 속도의 크기가 일정한 질점이며, 제어입력으로 측가속도를 사용하는 것으로 가정하였다. 이동장애물에는 척력 포텐셜함수를 목적점에는 인력 포텐셜함수를 인공적으로 부여하여 항공기에 척력과 인력이 작용하도록 하였다. 유도/회피명령은 이들 포텐셜력과 상대속도를 사용하여 실시간으로 구현 가능한 유도/회피법칙을 구현하였다. Log 형태의 포텐셜함수를 사용하면 구현된 유도법칙은 잘 알려진 비례항법유도법칙이 되며, 회피법칙은 장애물까지 도달시간에 반비례하고 시선각 변화의 반대 방향으로 항공기를 회전시킨다. 제안된 유도/회피법칙은 시뮬레이션을 통하여 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • This paper describes the construction of an autonomous mobile robot with functions of collision avoidance and speech recognition that is used for teaching path of the robot. The human voice as a teaching method provides more convenient user-interface to mobile robot. For safe navigation, the autonomous mobile robot needs abilities to recognize surrounding environment and avoid collision. We use u1trasonic sensors to obtain the distance from the mobile robot to the various obstacles. By navigation algorithm, the robot forecasts the possibility of collision with obstacles and modifies a path if it detects dangerous obstacles. For these functions, the robot system is composed of four separated control modules, which are a speech recognition module, a servo motor control module, an ultrasonic sensor module, and a main control module. These modules are integrated by CAN(controller area network) in order to provide real-time communication.
