  • A simple and direct method is developed for the determination of light Elements in atmospheric particulates by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry. Calibration standards for the light elements such as Al, Mg, K, Ca, etc are prepared by filtering real atmospheric particulates over variable time and subsequently standardizing them by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry(ICP-MS) or Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry(AAS) analysis. The validity of this calibration method is tested by analyzing more than 100 aerosol samples, collected at urban(Seoul) and rural(Padori) sites over a two year period with this method and then comparing them with those by other accuracy proven methods such as AAS or ICP-MS: for all metals tested the results showed reasonably good agreements (R $\geq$ 0.95).

  • This paper describes a system which enables a fast 3-dimensional measurement of a human face using a sli-ray projection method. One distinctive feature of our system is that a real-time video signal processor is employed in order to reduce the amount of image data to be processed and enable a fast measurement. Another feature of our system is that a skillful calibration software is developed. Due to this calibration software, opetators can be free from cumbersome settings of the measuring system.

  • In this paper, we studied a vibration problem that is critical and common to most precision measurement systems. For micro mechanical part measurements, results obtained from the vision-based precision measurement system may contain errors due to the vibration. In order to defeat this generic problem, for the current study, a PC based image processing technique was used first, to assess the effect of the vibration to the precision measurement and second, to develop an in-situ calibration algorithm that automatically compensate the measurement results in real time. We used a set of stereoscopic CCD cameras to acquire the images for the dimensional measurement and the reference measurement. The mapping function was obtained through the in-situ calibration to compensate the measurement results and the statistical analysis for the actual results is provided in the paper. Based on the current statistical study, it is expected to obtain high precision results for the micro measurement systems.

  • The objective of the study is to investigate the effects of model calibration on seismic behaviour of a historical mosque which is one of the most significant Ottomon structures. Seismic analyses of calibrated and noncalibrated numeric models were carried out by using acceleration records of Kocaeli earthquake in 1999. In numerical analysis, existing crack zones on real structure was investigated in detail. As a result of analyses, maximum stresses and displacements of calibrated and noncalibrated numerical models were compared each other. Consequently, seismic behaviour and damage state of historical masonry Hafsa Sultan mosque was determined as more realistic in the event of a severe earthquake.

근적외분광분석법을 이용한 인도메타신의 정량분석 (Quantitative Analysis of Indomethacin by the Portable Near-Infrared (NIR) System)

  • Near-infrared (NIR) system was used to determine rapidly and simply indomethacin in buffer solution for a dissolution test of tablets and capsules. Indomethacin standards were prepared ranging from 10 to 50 ppm using the mixture of phosphate buffer (pH 7.2) and water (1 : 4). The near-infrared (NIR) transmittance spectra of indomethacin standard solutions were collected by using a quartz cell in 1 mm and 2 mm pathlength. Partial least square regression (PLSR) was explored to develop calibration models over the spectral range 1100∼1700 nm. The model using 1 mm quartz cell was better than that using 2 mm quartz cell. The PLSR models developed gave standard error of prediction (SEP) of 0.858 ppm. In order to validate the developed calibration model, routine analysis was performed using another standard solutions. The NIR routine analysis showed good correlation with actual values. Standard error of prediction (SEP) is 1.414 ppm for 7 indomethacin samples in routine analysis and its error was permeable in the regulation of Korean Pharmacopoeia (VII). These results show the potential use of the real time monitoring for indomethacin during a dissolution test.

핸드-아이 보정과 능동 스테레오 비젼의 일반적 해석 (The General Analysis of an Active Stereo Vision with Hand-Eye Calibration)

  • The analysis of relative pose(position and rotation) between stereo cameras is very important to determine the solution that provides three-dimensional information for an arbitrary moving target with respect to robot-end. In the space of free camera-model, the rotational parameters act on non-linear factors acquiring a kinematical solution. In this paper the general solution of active stereo that gives a three-dimensional pose of moving object is presented. The focus is to achieve a derivation of linear equation between a robot′s end and active stereo cameras. The equation is consistently derived from the vector of quaternion space. The calibration of cameras is also derived in this space. Computer simulation and the results of error-sensitivity demonstrate the successful operation of the solution. The suggested solution can also be applied to the more complex real time tracking and quite general and are applicable in various stereo fields.

  • Since PV PCS uses output current sensor for ac output current control, the sensor's sensing value includes unnecessary offset inevitably. If PV inverter is controlled by the included offset value, it's output current will generate DC offset. The DC offset of output current for trans-less PV inverter is fatal to grid, which results in saturating grid side transformer. Usually DSP controller of PV inverter reads several times sensing value during initial operation and, finally, it's average value is used for offset calibration. However, if temperature changes, the offset changes, too. Therefore, output current sensor measures sensing value that includes offset again. In this paper we propose new algorithm where two identical forward and reverse sensors are used to calculate the offset in real time. As a result the offset is not correlated with temperature change. The proposed algorithm is verified through PSIM simulation for validity.

  • 최근 도시시설물의 안전과 범죄 모니터링에 대한수요가 증가하고 있으나, 사용되는 산업장비용 CCTV의 경우 고가가 대부분이다. 본 연구에서는 초 광각 렌즈인 어안렌즈와 사진측량 알고리즘을 이용하여 단일 카메라의 시야각을 증대시켜 모니터링의 효율성을 극대화 시키고자 한다. 어안렌즈를 이용한 모니터링을 위해 우선 실험실 내에서 왜곡계수 산출 실험을 실시하였는데 이는 일정 간격의 고정된 종이 타겟을 여러 방향에서 촬영한 후, 격자점을 이용하여 왜곡 계수를 추출하였다. 또한 추출된 왜곡보정 계수를 보정 및 모니터링 프로그램에 삽입하여 실시간 보정된 영상을 획득할 수 있다. 또한 보정된 영상에 대한 검증을 위해, 타겟을 스캐닝하여 왜곡 보정된 영상과 비교한 결과 RMSE가 3.2pixel로 나타났다.

  • 본 논문에서는 직교식 스테레오 비젼을 이용하여 단일개체에 대한 움직임 추적결과를 3차원 좌표로 생성, 보정하는 기법을 제안한다. 먼저, 직교로 구성된 두 대의 카메라로부터 실시간으로 영상을 획득한 후, 각 영상에 대하여 차영상 기법과 ART2(Adaptive Resonance Theory 2)를 이용하여 움직이는 개체를 추출한다. 다음으로 추출된 정면, 상면 영상의 좌표를 통해 3차원 좌표로 생성할 수 있으나, 원근감 문제 등으로 좌표가 정밀하지 못하다. 그래서 추출된 두 영상의 좌표를 직교식 스테레오 비젼을 이용하여 좌표보정을 한 후 3차원 좌표를 생성한다. 제안된 방법을 통해 단일개체의 움직임에 대한 추적 결과가 3차원 좌표로 정밀하게 추출 되는지 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.
