Utilization of a driving simulator in the development of autonomous driving technology allows us to perform various tests effectively in criticial environments, thereby reducing the development cost and efforts. However, there exists a serious drawback that the driving simulator has a big difference from the real environment, so a problem occurs when the autonomous driving algorithm developed using the driving simulator is applied directly to the real vehicle system. This is defined as so-called Sim2Real problem and can be classified into scenarios, sensor modeling, and vehicle dynamics. This Paper presensts on a method to solve the Sim2Real problem in autonomous driving simulator focusing on IMU sensor. In order to reduce the difference between emulated virtual IMU sensor real IMU sensor, IMU sensor emulation techniques through precision error modeling of IMU sensor are introduced. The error model of IMU sensors takes into account bias, scale factor, misalignmnet, and random walk by IMU sensor grades.
This study was intended to conduct a Real-scale fire test to predict the fire behavior by unit space at the apartment building where a huge casualties and injuries are likely. After setting the inflammables inside the house, the test aimed to identify the fire characteristics to each unit item was carried out. The house was divided into 4 unit space such as kitchen, living room, bedroom and a study for a real scale fire test. As a result, bedroom reached to flashover state in 5minutes after setting the fire, indicating a rapid fire growth such as 7433.3kW of maximum thermal emissivity, 578.6ppm of carbon monoxide, 1.25ppm of carbon dioxide and $1,350^{\circ}C$ of maximum indoor temperature. Particularly, the fire growth was made up to critical temperature which might cause a severe damage to the people within 3minutes, if the fire were not extinguished at inflammable space at the early stage of fire, which stressed the need of early response. The result of a real scale fire test could be compared with the outcome of expanded simulation test and used in predicting the fire spread at the space for different use.

This study is an experimental study about a facility for preventing the accumulation of floating debris at a bridge by flooding at a small river. Generally, structures installed at a small river are damaged frequently by floating debris during typhoons or localized rainfall events. On the other hand, there is no method available for preventing such damage. The facilities used in other countries to prevent such damage by the accumulation of floating debris include debris fins, deflectors, and sweeper. Among these facilities, the present study was conducted with a sweeper to investigate the damage-reducing capability through a real-scale accumulation experiment. A sweeper was installed in front of a bridge to bypass floating debris by self-rotation so that the floating debris may not be accumulate at the bridge. A small bridge model was prepared in a real-scale for the real-scale experiment. The accumulation reducing capability was compared through an accumulation experiment before and after the sweeper installation depending on the length of the debris and flow conditions. The result showed that the accumulation rate increased with increasing length of the debris or decreasing flow rate. The installation of a sweeper decreased the debris accumulation rate by a minimum of 55% to a maximum of 88% compared to the case without an installed sweeper. The result of the present study showed that the installation of a sweeper at a small river having a high potential of generating floating debris may help secure the stability of a bridge in the case of floating debris accumulation.

This study is to develop a GSTM (Green infrastructure Surface Temperature Measurment) equipment for reducing the surface temperature of GI by using LID Method. The tests were conducted including GI products such as Greening block, Pervious Block, Soil Block and so on. The GSTM equipment developed by considering the literature surveys are characterized as follows. The non-contact infrared temperature sensor was used to measure the surface temperature, and it was improved to measure the overall average temperature including the center and the corner temperature of the specimen. The developed GSTM equipment was used to compare performance of asphalt and GI products. As a result, the Greening Block show a high difference of $18.4^{\circ}C$ and it contributes to the decrease of surface temperature.

Analytically induced wear mechanism of elastic body under Hertzian contact is applied in acutual wear test of ceramics. There are two types of wear in ceramics, a large scale wear and a small scale wear. The large scale wear is commensurable with Hertzian contact area and the small scale wear with real contact area. Nondimensional parameter, S$_{c}$, is introduced and fully examined to estimate or predict wear rate of ceramics. Ceramic wear for S$_{c}$.leq.0.8 is in small scale wear and for S$_{c}$;geq.1.6 in large scale wear. wear.

A hydraulic scale model was constructed to investigate the characteristics of flows and pollutant transport in laboratory. The distorted hydraulic scale model by assuming Froude similarity was adopted to represent hydrodynamics and dispersion in a river system. The scale model was composed of water reservoir, slope control part, booster pump, distributing plate and main channel. A constructed scale model will be used to present the overall concentration profiles of tracer and a research will be performed to convert the measured values using a hydraulic scale model to real field scale.
A time scale modification method yielding rate-modified speech while conserving the characteristic of speech was implemented in real-time using a goneral purpose digital signal processor. Time scale modification changed pronunciation speed only, producing a time difference between the input signal and the modified signal, making it impossible to implement it in real-time. In this thesis, a system was implemented to remove the time difference between the input and modified signals. Speech signals slowed down or speeded up by a physical time scale modification method, such as adjusting the motor speed of the cassett tape recorder, was used as the input signal. Physical modification that controled only the inter speed of the cassette tape player distorted the pitch period of the original speech. In this study, a real-time system was implemented so that the pitch-distorted speech was reconstructed back to the original by fractional sampling pitch shifting using an FIR filter, and this signal was time scale modified to match the cassette tape recorder motor speed using SOLA time-scale medification. In experiments using speech signals medifiedby the proposed method, results obtained using a 16-bit resolution ADSP2101 processor and using computer simulations employing floating point operations showed about the same average frame signal-to-noise ratio of about 20 dB.
For the substantiation and verification of studies related to the construction of a levee using riverbed soil, real-scale levee construction and experimental studies are essential. One of the most important factors in the experimental study is the reproducibility of the multiple levees with the same initial conditions. Quantitative analysis of the reproducibility should be presented. In this study, a number of physical properties (specific gravity test, sieving test, liquid-plastic limit test, compaction test, on-site Density test) for multiple embankments built with fine-grained bed soil was obtained. The collected data then used to obtain the possibility of reproducing levee through statistical analysis to suggest a process of indicating a numeric initial condition of the real-scale test. As a result of statistical analysis to verify the aforementioned process, it was confirmed that it was possible to quantitatively evaluate the reproducibility of the construction under the same conditions of embankments. This is expected to be a basic data for a full-scale embankment test using riverbed soil including other soil based real-scale tests.

Wheelchair users have a difficulty in managing their weight because there is lack of measure systems and even though the users have the system, it costs too much. Thus, purpose of this study is for developing the portable weight scale automatic device to help wheelchair users by monitoring their weight on the wheelchairs in real time. Portable weight scale automatic device composed by four strain gauges, and the device was connected with mobile phone so that wheelchair users were able to check their weight in real time. In order to evaluate the device performance, 10 normal subjects and 10 disabled subjects participated in this study. The subjects' truth weight and measured weight by the device are compared. The weigh difference within normal subjects was $0.75{\pm}0.80kg$, and the weigh difference within disabled subjects was $1.02{\pm}0.74kg$. Difference between the truth weigh and the measured weigh were not statistically different. The reason for this error occurred is inaccuracy of the loadcell installation and calibration. If this problems get solved, the measured indicator is expected to help wheelchair users to manage their weight.

Flexible large-scale WLANs are now widely deployed in crowded and highly mobile places such as campus, airport, shopping mall and company etc. But network management is hard for large-scale WLANs due to highly uneven interference and throughput among links. So the traffic is difficult to predict accurately. In the paper, through analysis of traffic in two real large-scale WLANs, Granger Causality is found in both scenarios. In combination with information entropy, it shows that the traffic prediction of target AP considering Granger Causality can be more predictable than that utilizing target AP alone, or that of considering irrelevant APs. So We develops new method -Granger Causality and Vector Auto-Regression (GCVAR), which takes APs series sharing Granger Causality based on Vector Auto-regression (VAR) into account, to predict the traffic flow in two real scenarios, thus redundant and noise introduced by multivariate time series could be removed. Experiments show that GCVAR is much more effective compared to that of traditional univariate time series (e.g. ARIMA, WARIMA). In particular, GCVAR consumes two orders of magnitude less than that caused by ARIMA/WARIMA.
