  • This paper presents a workflow validation method for data-intensive graphical workflow models using real-time workflow tracing mode on data-intensive workflow designer. In order to model and validate workflows, we try to divide as modes have editable mode and tracing mode on data-intensive workflow designer. We could design data-intensive workflow using drag and drop in editable-mode, otherwise we could not design but view and trace workflow model in tracing mode. We would like to focus on tracing-mode for workflow validation, and describe how to use workflow tracing on data-intensive workflow model designer. Especially, it is support data centered operation about control logics and exchange variables on workflow runtime for workflow tracing.

  • Forex trading participants, due to the intensified economic internationalization exchange risk avoidance measures are needed. In this research, Model suitable for estimation of time-series data, such as stock prices and exchange rates, through the concealment of HMM and estimate the short-term exchange rate forecasting model is applied to the prediction of the future. Estimated by applying the optimal model if the real exchange rate data for a certain period of the future will be able to predict the movement aspect of it. Alleged concealment of HMM. For the estimation of the model to accurately estimate the number of states of the model via Bayesian Information Criterion was confirmed as a model predictive aspect of physical exercise aspect and predict the movement of the two curves were similar.

  • ICT education guidelines revised in 2005 reinforce computer science elements such as algorithm, data structure, and programming covering all schools. It means that goal of computer education is improving problem-solving abilities not using of commercial software. So this paper suggests problem-solving method of maze escape through robots' cooperation in an effort of learning these elements. Problems robots should solve are first-search and role-exchange. First-search problem is that first robot searches maze and send informations about maze to the second robot in real time. Role-exchange problem is that first robot searches maze, but loses its function at any point. At this time second robot takes a role of first robot and performs first robot's missions to the end. To solve these two problems, it goes through four steps; problem analysis, algorithm description, flowchart and programming. Additional effects of our suggestion are chance of cooperation among students and use of queue in data structure. Further researches are use of more generalized mazes, application to real field and a talented curriculum.

  • The Tactical Data Link System is a standardized communication link to exchange and interface positional, situational information, command and control in real time. It has been evaluated that this Link would play an important role for tactical interoperability, situation awareness, and execution of joint operations in the future war. But considering the rapidly changing war situations, even though being admitted the necessity of the Tactical Data Link System of Army helicopter, one of superpowers in the Army, substantially we don't still have any concrete concept to build it. Therefore, this work presents how to embody the Tactical Data Link System through computer-aided system engineering on the base of Tactical Data Link System operating concept analysis of helicopters-ground units.

  • A smart grid is a next-generation power grid that can improve energy efficiency by applying information and communication technology to the general power grid. The smart grid makes it possible to exchange information about electricity production and consumption between electricity providers and consumers in real-time. Advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) is the core technology of the smart grid. The AMI provides two-way communication by installing a modem in an existing digital meter and typically include smart meters, data collection units, and meter data management systems. Because the AMI requires data collection units to control multiple smart meters, it is essential to ensure network availability under heavy network loads. If the load on the work done by the data collection unit is high, it is necessary to allocation new data collection units to ensure availability and improve energy efficiency. In this paper, we discuss the allocation scheme of data collection units for the energy efficiency of the AMI.

  • Recently, as the demand for real-time processing increases, studies on a dynamic graph that changes over time has been actively done. There is a connected components processing algorithm as one of the algorithms for analyzing dynamic graphs. GPUs are suitable for large-scale graph calculations due to their high memory bandwidth and computational performance. However, when computing the connected components of a dynamic graph using the GPU, frequent data exchange occurs between the CPU and the GPU during real graph processing due to the limited memory of the GPU. The proposed scheme utilizes the Weighted-Quick-Union algorithm to process large-scale graphs on the GPU. It supports fast connected components computation by applying the size to the connected component label. It computes the connected component by determining the parts to be recalculated and minimizing the data to be transmitted to the GPU. In addition, we propose a processing structure in which the GPU and the CPU execute asynchronously to reduce the data transfer time between GPU and CPU. We show the excellence of the proposed scheme through performance evaluation using real dataset.

  • This research studies real time interaction and dynamic data shared through 3D scenes in virtual network environments. In a distributed virtual environment of client-server structure, consistency is maintained by the static information exchange; as jerks occur by packet delay when updating messages of dynamic data exchanges are broadcasted disorderly, the network bottleneck is reduced by predicting the movement path by using the Dead-reckoning algorithm. In Dead-reckoning path prediction, the error between the estimated and the actual static values which is over the threshold based on the shared object location requires interpolation and multicasting of the previous location by the ESPDU of DIS. The shared dynamic data of the 3D virtual environment is implementation using the VRML.

  • FHIR is a protocol that enables easy data exchange from the time the event occurred in health care settings as a standard for next-generation message exchange of HL7. Create a meaningful message from the ECG and medical equipment, and express the messages generated by standardized FHIR message it will be used in various medical institutions to ensure delivery to EMR, such as hospital information systems can query the results via a smartphone. In addition, it thought to be used in the future to expand SMART on FHIR, Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery ward in real-time remote monitoring.

  • Real time data exchange and information transmission are becoming more and more important these days. The concept of age of information (AoI) was proposed to quantify the freshness of information about the status of a remote source system. The AoI is defined as the amount of time that a packet experiences since it was generated at the source up to now. This paper analyses the age of information for a discrete time Geo/Geo/1/1 status updating system. The stationary probability distribution for peak AoI is obtained. Freshness ratio of information is also derived. Some numerical results obtained by the analysis are presented.
