제어법칙 간 상호 전환 시 과도응답 최소화를 위한 전환시간에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Conversion Time to Minimize of Transient Response during Inter-Conversion between Control Laws)

  • The inter-conversion between different control laws in flight has a lot of risk. The SWM(Switching Mechanism) including logic and stand-by mode is designed to analyze the transient response of aircraft during inter-conversion between different control laws, based on the in-house software for non-real-time and real-time simulation. The SWM applies the fader logic of TFS(Transient Free Switch) to minimize the transient response of an aircraft during the inter-conversion, and applies the reset '0' type of the stand-by mode to prevent surface saturation due to integrator effect in the disengaged flight control law. The transition time is also important to minimize the objectionable transient response in the inter-conversion, as well as the transition control law design. This paper addresses the results of non-real-time simulation for the characteristics of transient response to different transition time to select the adequate transient time, and the real-time pilot evaluation, using SSWM(Software Switching Mechanism) and HSWM(Hardware Switching Mechanism), which is met for Level 1 flying qualities and assures safety of flight.

Fast Coordinate Conversion Method for Real-time Weather Radar Data Processing

  • The coordinate system conversion of weather radar data is a basic and important process because it can be a factor to measure the accuracy of radar precipitation rate by comparison with the ground rain gauge. We proposed a real-time coordinate system conversion method that combines the advantages of the interpolation masks of SPRINT and REORDER to use tables of predetermined radar samples for each interpolated object coordinate and also distance weights for each precomputed sample. Experimental results show that the proposed method improves the computation speed more than 20~30 times compared with the conventional method and shows that the deterioration of image quality is hardly ignored.

색-청 공감각 인지 기반 사운드-컬러 신호 실시간 변환 시스템의 구현 (Real-time Implementation of Sound into Color Conversion System Based on the Colored-hearing Synesthetic Perception)

  • 본 논문은 공감각의 한 부분인 색청(colored-hearing) 공감각을 이용한 사운드-컬러 신호 변환에 관한 연구로서, 인간이 인지 할 수 있는 오감 중 공감각적 변환이 가장 많이 일어나는 청각과 시각을 이용한 실시간 변환 시스템의 구축을 목표로 한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 음-색 실시간 변환 방법으로서, 입력으로 사용하는 MIDI(Musical Instrument Digital Interface) 신호에서 음계(scale), 옥타브(octave) 및 음의 세기(velocity)를 추출한 후 HSI 컬러모델의 기본 요소인 색상(hue), 명도(intensity) 및 채도(saturation)에 각각 대응하여 변환하는 방법으로 단순하지만 직관적인 방법을 사용한다. 변환된 HSI 컬러 모델은 모니터 출력을 위해 RGB 컬러 모델로 최종 변환하여 출력한다. 실험에서, MIDI 입력신호 전송 H/W 시스템과 VC++ 기반 해당 사운드-컬러 변환 입 출력 S/W 모니터링 시스템을 구축하여 사운드에서 컬러로의 출력이 제안한 방식에 따라 값이 출력됨을 확인하였다.

A Highly Efficient and Fast Algorithm for Implementing a Real-Time Software GNSS Receiver

  • In this paper, for implementing a real-time software GNSS receiver we propose the highly efficient and fast algorithms such as partial down-conversion, phase rotator, composite I&Q accumulation, Virtual DCO technique, and parallel acquisition using FFT. When the proposed algorithms are used, more 30 tracking channels with 3 tracking arm(early-prompt-late) is operated real-time on Intel 2.8GHz personal computer. Also, the partial down-conversion reduces the FFT size, for parallel acquisition, to 1/8 of conventional FFT-size and the program size includes map is not exceed 1Mbyte. Finally, the proposed real-time software GNSS receiver using the proposed algorithms provides the navigation solution with below 10 meter rms error.

Real-Time 2D-to-3D Conversion for 3DTV using Time-Coherent Depth-Map Generation Method

  • Depth-image-based rendering is generally used in real-time 2D-to-3D conversion for 3DTV. However, inaccurate depth maps cause flickering issues between image frames in a video sequence, resulting in eye fatigue while viewing 3DTV. To resolve this flickering issue, we propose a new 2D-to-3D conversion scheme based on fast and robust depth-map generation from a 2D video sequence. The proposed depth-map generation algorithm divides an input video sequence into several cuts using a color histogram. The initial depth of each cut is assigned based on a hypothesized depth-gradient model. The initial depth map of the current frame is refined using color and motion information. Thereafter, the depth map of the next frame is updated using the difference image to reduce depth flickering. The experimental results confirm that the proposed scheme performs real-time 2D-to-3D conversions effectively and reduces human eye fatigue.

  • 본 논문에서는 일반적인 2차원 영상에서 운동 시차론 이용하여 서로 다른 원근 깊이를 갖는 입체 영상을 생성하고, 2차원 영상에서 운동 물체의 운동 방향과 속도에 상관없이 3차원 효과를 제공할 수 있는 입체 영상 변환 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 입체 영상은 제안한 움직임 검출, 영역 분할, 그리고 깊이 지도 생성 방법을 이용하여 인접한 2차원 영상 사이에서 운동 시차를 계산하여 생성된다. 제안한 방법은 다양한 영상원에 대해서 실시간으로 입체 영상 변환이 가능하며, MTD 방식과의 성능 비교를 통하여 제안한 방법의 성능 평가를 수행하였다.

  • This paper for real time object tracking in this treatise detect histogram analysis that is accumulation value of binary conversion density and edge information and body that move by real time use of difference Image techniques and proposed method to object tracking. Firstly, we extract edge that can reduce quantity of data keeping information about form of input image in object detection. Object is extracted by performing difference image and binarization in edge image. Area of detected object is determined by threshold value that divide sum of horizontal accumulation value about binary conversion density by value that add horizontalityㆍverticality maximum accumulation value. Object is tracked by comparing similarity with object that is detected in previous frame and present frame. As experiment result, proposed algorithm could improve the object detection speed, and could track object by real time and could track local movement.

  • This ppaer presents a bit-rate conversion system for efficient communications between 3 channel CVSD systems with different bit-rates. The proposed conversion system is implemented in the digital domain and specially, the conversion problem between 32 Kbps and 16 Kbps CVSD systems is studied. The conventional conversion system implemented in the analog domain allows signals to be easily degraded by external noises. To overcome this problem, a digital CVSD bit-rate conversion system robust to external noises is developed. the new systemdecodes CVSD bit sequences and converts sampling rates of decoded signals, then encodes signals at target bit-rates. Since linear phase property does not matter in this application, instead of FIR filters a IIR filter is employed to reduce the system complexity. Therefore, a 3 channel digital CVSD bit-rate conversion system was successfully real-time implemented using a general purpose DSP. In addition, conversion problems with unkown time constants were experimented and good experimental results were obtained.

  • It is difficult to adapt modern control theory to power conversion system for the price of real time control H/W and the difficulty of S/W implementation. But recent development of large integrated circuit make it possible that One-Chip microprocessor processes high speed arithmatic calculation used in control theory. Specially this chip is called Digital Signal Processing chip. So, this research developes high performance, high reliable digital control system using TMS320C30 of Texas Instrument for real time control in power conversion system.

  • The engine-out flow is highly transient and hot, and may place tremendous thermal and inertial loads on a closed-coupled catalyst. Therefore, time-dependent and detailed flow and thermal field simulation may be crucial. The aim of this study is to develop combined chemical reaction and multi-dimensional fluid dynamic mathematical model and to study the effect of unsteady pulsating thermal and flow characteristics on thermal reliability of closed-coupled catalyst. The effect of cell density on the conversion performance under real running condition is also investigated. Unlike previous studies, the present study focuses on coupling between the problems of pulsating flow pattern and catalyst thermal response and conversion efficiency. The results are expressed in terms of temporal evolution of flow, pollutant and temperature distribution as well as transient characteristics of conversion efficiency. Fundamental understanding of the flow and thermal phenomena of closed-coupled catalyst under real running condition is presented. It is shown that instants of significantly low values of flow uniformity and conversion efficiency exist during exhaust blowdown and the temporal varaition of flow uniformity is very similar in pattern to one of conversion efficiency. It is also found that the location of hot spot in monolith is directly affected by transient flow pattern in closed-coupled catalyst.
