We present a real-time monitoring system for detecting anomalous network events using the entropy. The entropy accounts for the effects of disorder in the system. When an abnormal factor arises to agitate the current system the entropy must show an abrupt change. In this paper we deliberately model the Internet to measure the entropy. Packets flowing between these two networks may incur to sustain the current value. In the proposed system we keep track of the value of entropy in time to pinpoint the sudden changes in the value. The time-series data of entropy are transformed into the two-dimensional domains to help visually inspect the activities on the network. We examine the system using network traffic traces containing notorious worms and DoS attacks on the testbed. Furthermore, we compare our proposed system of time series forecasting method, such as EWMA, holt-winters, and PCA in terms of sensitive. The result suggests that our approach be able to detect anomalies with the fairly high accuracy. Our contributions are two folds: (1) highly sensitive detection of anomalies and (2) visualization of network activities to alert anomalies.

This paper has proposed and experimentally demonstrated a new BLU using an LED and an acryl, which is specially focused on the implementation about the guiding effect of an acryl luminous by the LED. While the conventional BLU using a fluorescent lamp is generally and widely used, it shows big power consumption with a short life even more too thick to hold on the wall. To solve such demerits, we propose a new method for a BLU using an LED and an acryl in this paper. This BLU system has various scratches on the surface of acryl to get diffusion effect of light, and has been included an embedded board that can dynamically control the colors and the intensity of the BLU through the Internet. We have conducted computer simulations to find out the optimal scratch pattern on the surface of the acryl for the backlight system. Based on the resulted out simulation. The the optimal scratch pattern signs has been developed. The simulation result shows 2,673Lux an average for a luminous intensity test, and the other hand, experiential result shows 2,554Lux. From the experiments, it is possible for the proposed BLU system to be used for real advertisements.
To clarify the role of long intergenic nonprotein-coding RNA 1232 (LINC01232) in the progression of gastric cancer and the potential mechanism, we analyzed the expression of LINC01232 in TCGA database using the GEPIA online tool, and the LINC01232 level in gastric cancer cell lines was detected by quantitative real time-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) as well. Cell proliferation assay, colony formation assay, transwell assay and tumor formation experiment in nude mice were conducted to observe the biological behavior changes of gastric cancer cells through the influence of LINC01232 knockdown. LncATLAS database and subcellular isolation assay were used for subcellular distribution of LINC01232 in gastric cancer cells. The interaction among LINC01232, zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) and kruppel-like factor 2 (KLF2) was clarified by RNA-protein interaction prediction (RPISeq), RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP), qRT-PCR and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assay. Rescue experiments were further conducted to elucidate the biological function of LINC01232/KLF2 axis in the progression of gastric cancer. LINC01232 was upregulated in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD) tissues and gastric cancer lines. LINC01232 knockdown inhibited the proliferative capacities of gastric cancer cells in vitro, and impaired in vivo tumorigenicity. LINC01232 was mainly distributed in the cell nucleus where it epigenetically repressed KLF2 expression via binding to the enhancer of EZH2, which was capable of binding to promoter regions of KLF2 to induce histone H3 lysine 27 trimethylation (H3K27me3). LINC01232 exerts oncogenic activities in gastric cancer via inhibition of KLF2, and therefore, the knockdown of KLF2 could reverse the regulatory effect of LINC01232 in the proliferative ability of gastric cancer cells.

As transaction and investment using technology are vitalized, the need for objective standards for the technology is increasing. Current technology value evaluation system is limited lacking reliability and objectivity. Besides the traditional evaluation methodology which are market approach, income approach and cost approach other diverse evaluation methodology such as real option method and royalty calculation method are being studied; however currently there are no dominant evaluation methodology in the market. Same value evaluation system cannot be applied between similar technologies because value of technology is relatively decided based on the target. Approaching through collective intelligence and crowd sourcing, in meaning of majority participant's decision can make objective and better result than handful of experts, suggest alternative to problems of such matter above. By grafting the four types of crowd sourcing model which are Wisdom, Voting, Funding and Creation, this paper will discuss the ways to enhance the objectivity of technology evaluation through direct evaluation utilizing expert group and the public's indirect evaluation.

Objective: Embryonic interferon-tau (IFNT) and progesterone affect expression of interferon-stimulated genes (ISGs), progesterone receptor (PGR) and progesterone-induced blocking factor (PIBF) in the ovine thyroid. Methods: Thyroids of ewes were sampled at day 16 of nonpregnancy, days 13, 16, and 25 of pregnancy, and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction assay, western blot and immunohistochemistry were used to detect expression of ISGs, PGR, and PIBF. Results: Free ISG15 protein was undetected, but ISG15 conjugated proteins upregulated at day 16 of pregnancy, and expression levels of ISG15 conjugated proteins, PGR isoform (70 kDa), PIBF, interferon-gamma-inducible protein 10 and myxovirusresistance protein 1 peaked, but expression level of signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 was the lowest at day 16 of pregnancy. In addition, the expression levels of PGR isoform (70 kDa) and signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (STAT1) decreased, but levels of PGR isoform (43 kDa), 2',5'-oligoadenylate synthetase, IP-10 and MX1 increased at day 25 of pregnancy comparing with day 16 of the estrous cycle. Conclusion: Early pregnancy affects expression of ISGs, PGR, and PIBF in maternal thyroid through IFNT and progesterone, which may regulate thyroid autoimmunity and thyroid hormone secretion in ewes.

Recently, many attempts have been made to reduce the time required for payment in various shopping environments. In addition, for the Fourth Industrial Revolution era, artificial intelligence is advancing, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices are becoming more compact and cheaper. So, by integrating these two technologies, access to building an unmanned environment to save people time has become easier. In this paper, we propose a smart shopping cart system based on low-cost IoT equipment and deep-learning object-detection technology. The proposed smart cart system consists of a camera for real-time product detection, an ultrasonic sensor that acts as a trigger, a weight sensor to determine whether a product is put into or taken out of the shopping cart, an application for smartphones that provides a user interface for a virtual shopping cart, and a deep learning server where learned product data are stored. Communication between each module is through Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, a Hypertext Transmission Protocol network, a You Only Look Once darknet library, and an object detection system used by the server to recognize products. The user can check a list of items put into the smart cart via the smartphone app, and can automatically pay for them. The smart cart system proposed in this paper can be applied to unmanned stores with high cost-effectiveness.

As the networked media technology have been grown in recent, there have been many research works to deliver high-quality video such as HDV and HDTV over the Internet. To realize high-quality media service over the Internet, however, the network adaptive streaming scheme is required to adopt to the dynamic fluctuation of underlying networks. In this paper, we design and implement the network-adaptive HD(high definition) MPEG-2 streaming system employing the frame-based prioritized packetization. Delivered video is inputted from the JVC HDV camera to the streaming sewer in real-time. It has a bit-rate of 19.2 Mbps and is multiplexed to the MPEG-2 TS (MPEG-2 MP@HL). For the monitoring of network status, the packet loss rate and the average jitter are measured by using parsing of RTP packet header in the streaming client and they are sent to the streaming server periodically The network adaptation manager in the streaming server estimates the current network status from feedback packets and adaptively adjusts the sending rate by frame dropping. For this, we propose the real-time parsing and the frame-based prioritized packetization of the TS packet. The proposed system is implemented in software and evaluated over the LAN testbed. The experimental results show that the proposed system can enhance the end-to-end QoS of HD video streaming over the best-effort network.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of tasks setting for mathematical modelling in the complex real situations. The tasks setting(MMa, MeA) in mathematical modelling was so important that we can't ignore its effects to develop meaning and integrate mathematical ideas. The experimental setting were two groups ($N_1=103$, $N_2=103$) at public high school and non-experimental setting was one group($N_3=103$). In mathematical achievement, we found meaningful improvement for MeA group on modelling tasks, but no meaningful effect on information processing tasks. The statistical method used was ACONOVA analysis. Beside their achievement, we were much concerned about their modelling approach that TSG21 had suggested in Category "Educational & cognitive Midelling". Subjects who involved in experimental works showed very interesting approach as Exploration, analysis in some situation ${\Rightarrow}$ Math. questions ${\Rightarrow}$ Setting models ${\Rightarrow}$ Problem solution ${\Rightarrow}$ Extension, generalization, but MeA group spent a lot of time on step: Exploration, analysis and MMa group on step, Setting models. Both groups integrated actively many heuristics that schoenfeld defined. Specially, Drawing and Modified Simple Strategy were the most powerful on approach step 1,2,3. It was very encouraging that those experimental setting was improved positively more than the non-experimental setting on mathematical belief and interest. In our school system, teaching math. modelling could be a answer about what kind of educational action or environment we should provide for them. That is, mathematical learning.
Today using Internet environment is considered absolutely essential for establishing corporate marketing strategy. Companies have promoted their products and services through various ways of on-line marketing activities such as providing gifts and points to customers in exchange for participating in events, which is based on customers' membership data. Since companies can use these membership data to enhance their marketing efforts through various data analysis, appropriate website membership management may play an important role in increasing the effectiveness of on-line marketing campaign. Despite the growing interests in proper membership management, however, there have been difficulties in identifying inappropriate members who can weaken on-line marketing effectiveness. In on-line environment, customers tend to not reveal themselves clearly compared to off-line market. Customers who have malicious intent are able to create duplicate IDs by using others' names illegally or faking login information during joining membership. Since the duplicate members are likely to intercept gifts and points that should be sent to appropriate customers who deserve them, this can result in ineffective marketing efforts. Considering that the number of website members and its related marketing costs are significantly increasing, it is necessary for companies to find efficient ways to screen and exclude unfavorable troublemakers who are duplicate members. With this motivation, this study proposes an approach for managing duplicate membership based on the social network analysis and verifies its effectiveness using membership data gathered from real websites. A social network is a social structure made up of actors called nodes, which are tied by one or more specific types of interdependency. Social networks represent the relationship between the nodes and show the direction and strength of the relationship. Various analytical techniques have been proposed based on the social relationships, such as centrality analysis, structural holes analysis, structural equivalents analysis, and so on. Component analysis, one of the social network analysis techniques, deals with the sub-networks that form meaningful information in the group connection. We propose a method for managing duplicate memberships using component analysis. The procedure is as follows. First step is to identify membership attributes that will be used for analyzing relationship patterns among memberships. Membership attributes include ID, telephone number, address, posting time, IP address, and so on. Second step is to compose social matrices based on the identified membership attributes and aggregate the values of each social matrix into a combined social matrix. The combined social matrix represents how strong pairs of nodes are connected together. When a pair of nodes is strongly connected, we expect that those nodes are likely to be duplicate memberships. The combined social matrix is transformed into a binary matrix with '0' or '1' of cell values using a relationship criterion that determines whether the membership is duplicate or not. Third step is to conduct a component analysis for the combined social matrix in order to identify component nodes and isolated nodes. Fourth, identify the number of real memberships and calculate the reliability of website membership based on the component analysis results. The proposed procedure was applied to three real websites operated by a pharmaceutical company. The empirical results showed that the proposed method was superior to the traditional database approach using simple address comparison. In conclusion, this study is expected to shed some light on how social network analysis can enhance a reliable on-line marketing performance by efficiently and effectively identifying duplicate memberships of websites.

Due to the large-scale TV display, the convergence of broadcasting and broadband, and the advancement of signal compression and transmission technology, terrestrial digital broadcasting has evolved into UHD broadcasting capable of providing simultaneous broadcasting of fixed UHD and mobile HD. The Korean standard for terrestrial UHDTV broadcasting is based on ATSC 3.0, the broadcasting standard of North America. The terrestrial UHDTV broadcasting standard chose that as a new AV codec standard, HEVC video codec which can compress with higher efficiency compared to AVC, and MPEG-H 3D audio codec for realistic audio. Also, DASH and MMT are adopted as transmission format instead of MPEG-2 TS to support broadband as well as broadcasting network, and in order to provide 4K UHD/mobile HD service simultaneously ROUTE multiplexing technology is applied. In this paper, we propose an audio/video encoder, which is required to provide HDR/WCG supported high quality video service, 10.2 channel/4 object supporting stereo sound service, fixed UHD and mobile HD simultaneous broadcasting service based on ATSC3.0, also we implemented the ATSC 3.0 LDM system for ROUTE/DASH packager, multiplexing system and physical layer transmission/reception, and verified the service ability by applying it to real time broadcast environment.
