A Research to support Real-time of TAO on VxWorks Real-time Operating System (실시간 운영체제 VxWorks 상에서 통신 미들웨어 TAO의 실시간성 지원에 대한 연구)

  • To support distributed environment that is independent and standardized between heterogeneous system, a study on the TAO(The ACE ORB) communication middleware based on the RT-CORBA is highly being done. The TAO supports real-time features not on the general purpose operating system like Windows or Linux but on the real time operating system like Vxworks or LynxOS. In this paper, we build and construct environment that supports a thread-level real time feature by porting the TAO on VxWorks target. Also we validate the ported TAO by network communication with the TAO of Windows.

A Real Time PCR Assay for Detection and Quantitation of Canine Parvovirus Type 2 in the Feces of Dogs with Parvovirus Infection (실시간 중합효소연쇄반응법을 이용한 개 파보바이러스 감염증의 분변에서 바이러스 정량 분석)

  • We described a rapid, sensitive and reproducible real-time PCR assay for detection and quantitation of canine parvovirus type 2 in the feces of dogs with parvovirus infection. The method was demonstrated to be highly specific and sensitive, allowing a precise canine parvovirus type-2 quantitation over range of eight orders of magnitude from $10^2\;to\;10^9$ copies of standard DNA. Then, fecal samples from parvovirus infected dogs were analyzed by conventional PCR and real-time PCR. Real-time PCR is more sensitive than conventional PCR, allowing to detect low viral titers of CPV-2 in infected dogs. By real-time PCR, a wide range of parvovirus particles was found in the samples from $1.45\times10^6\;to\;9.45\times10^8$ copies/0.01g of feces. However, when dogs are in infection of parvovirus, it is difficult to prove that the numbers of peripheral blood leukocytes are correlated with those of fecal shedding virus.

  • In recent, the innovative improvement of a internet and computing environment make users desire the capability of processing information in real time. In this paper we implement a PC-to-PC real time multi-user communication system on the internet environment using the efficient algorithm for a real time processing and the MFEG-4 CELP codec which can be used for a low bit-rate coding from 6 to 24kbps. The implemented system produces a compressed bit-streams with the MPEG-4 CEU Mode-I 18200bps mode. There is 5 frames for a package and 1 frame has 160 samples. We can use this system to communicate with 4 users simultaneously in real time. The system is designed and examined on the Windows operating system.

  • Using a web browser, real-time video communication technologies are emerging today. In this paper, we studied the web browser and take advantage of real-time video communication technology for Based on this, we have designed and implemented a Web-based real-time video communication systems. In this system, having different web browsers and web servers through a web browser using the RTC API and HTTP / WebSockets in a real-time video communication is possible. It is available at all terminals, all connected by a network environment from the use of the web browser, will be utilized in the field of visual communications in a limited environment.

  • With the significant advances in mobile computing technology, there is an increasing demand for various mobile applications to process trans-actions in a real-time. When remote data access is considered in a mobile environment, data access delay becomes one of the most serious problems in meeting the deadline of real-time transaction. The mobile real-time transaction should be assured not only correctness of result of trans-action but also completion time of transaction. In this paper, we propose an optimistic concurrency control method to solve conflict among mobile real-time transactions. It minimizes influence on the cascade abort and delay of transactions that occur by disconnection and hand over in a mobile environment.

  • In this paper, we propose the haptic system for the real-time virtual environment-control, which controls the sense of sight, hearing and touch. In order to maintain the stable haptic system in this study, we apply the proxy force rendering algorithm and the real-time graphic deformation algorithm based on the FEM. The applied proxy algorithm makes the system possible to be more stable and prompt with a virtual object. Moreover, the haptic rendering algorithm is applied to work out a problem that the tactual transaction-period is different from the graphic transaction- period. The graphic deformation algorithm is developed in the real-time using the deformed FEM. To apply the FEM, a deformed material-model is produced and then the graphic deformation with this model is able to force. Consequently, the graphic rendering algorithm is deduced by the real-time calculation and simplification because the purpose of this system is to transact in the real time. Applying this system to the PC, we prove that it is possible to deform the graphics and transact the haptic. Finally we suggest the variable simulation program to show the efficiency of this system.

  • In this paper, the performance evaluation of the JADE-MUSIC estimation based on the indoor channel is presented. By means of the JADE-MUSIC algorithm, DOA and time delay can be obtained simultaneously. In the JADE-MUSIC method, the channel impulse response is first estimated from the received samples and then this impulse response is employed to estimate DOAs and time delays of multipath waves. Moreover, according to the JADE-MUSIC characteristics, it can work in cases when the number of impinging waves is more than the number of antenna elements, unlike the traditional parametric subspace-based method, such a case is not true. Therefore, we employ the JADE-MUSIC algorithm applying for the real indoor environment where is rich of the multipath propagation waves and can imply that the number of waves is very possibly higher than that of the array element. The experiment is carried out in our laboratory considered to be the real indoor environment. The performance of the JADE-MUSIC algorithm is evaluated in terms of the comparison between the simulation and experiment results by using the simulated channel model and the real indoor channel model, respectively. It is clear that the joint angle and delay estimation using the simulated channel model are in good agreement with the estimation using the real indoor channel model. Therefore, we can say that the JADE-MUSIC algorithm accomplishes the high performance to jointly estimate the angle and delay of the arriving signal for the indoor environment.

Application of the TaqMan® real-time PCR assay for the detection of chicken (Gallus gallus) meat in pork products (돼지고기 제품 내 닭고기 검출을 위한 TaqMan® real-time PCR의 적용)

  • Many consumers are increasingly concerned about the meat they eat, and accurate labelling is important due to public health, economic and legal concerns. Meat species adulteration is a common problem in the retail markets. In this study, a TaqMan$^{(R)}$ quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay was applied for its ability to quantify chicken meat, which was not indicated on the label, in 79 commercial pork products (ham, sausages, bacon and ground meat) producted by 10 different manufacturers. The amplification efficiency was 82.05% and the square regression coefficient ($R^2$) was 0.995. PCR results showed that 38.6% of ham samples, 50.0% of sausages samples, and 50.0% of ground meat samples were contaminated with chicken residuals, while the bacon samples were not contaminated with chicken residuals. Only twelve pork products of one of the manufacturers were in accordance with indicated in their labels. The PCR assay reported in this work could be particularly useful in inspection programs to verify the food labelling of commercial processed meats and to gain consumers' trust.

  • Advanced internet service and smart equipment have caused an environment supporting various online learning anytime and anywhere, which requires learning contents optimized on a new media. Among various on/off line education related to IT, most part if it is office SW. Many oh them cannot make a good education for effective training in practical because many instructors are tend to focus on teaching simple function and use examples of formality repeatedly. In this paper we propose a new office SW education system that make use of LET(Live EduTainer) based on RTE(Real Training Environment) which maximize the effect of learning and it is integrated with GBL(Game Based Learning) which gives rise to interesting in a knowledge as well as simple teaching so that learners are absorbed on it. We'll elaborate a method for teaching and learning required in this system, design and configuration of the system.

  • This paper is related to the access to the control platform who manages their resources on the virtual environment. The computing performance of hardware supersedes the computing performance human demands. In this case, making the platform on the virtual computing environment has been developed for the usage of computing resource's residues which is available. This virtual computing environment is quite similar with the real environment in aspect of some functions but is quite different with that in aspect of the real configurations. This paper found that the virtual computing environment has another problems besides the problems the real computer might be happening. This paper found that the virtual environment needs the proper control platform. This paper will suggest a control platform for managing the virtual computing environment properly.
