과학기술로 인해 발생할 수 있는 위험을 다루는 과학교육에 관한 초등교사의 교육 경험과 교육 준비도 및 요구도 (Elementary School Teachers' Educational Experiences, Readiness, and Needs for Science Education That Addresses the Risks Posed by Science and Technology)

  • 본 연구는 과학기술로 인해 발생할 수 있는 위험을 다루는 과학교육에 대한 초등교사의 교육 경험과 교육 준비도 및 요구도를 조사하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다수의 교사가 과학교육에서 과학기술로 인해 발생할 수 있는 위험을 다루어 본 경험이 없었다. 둘째, 2022 개정 과학과 교육과정의 성취기준에 위험이 포함되어 있다는 것을 알고 있는 교사의 수가 모르는 교사의 수보다 더 많았다. 셋째, 위험지각, 위험평가, 위험관리에 대한 교사들의 이해도를 비교하면, 위험지각에 대한 이해도가 상대적으로 높고 위험평가에 대한 이해도가 낮았다. 넷째, 대다수 교사가 위험에 대한 교육 및 연수를 받은 경험이 없었다. 다섯째, 위험교육의 10가지 목표를 가르치기 위한 교사의 현재 역량 수준은 정보 활용과 실천 역량 순으로 높게 나타났고, 확률 해석과 위험평가 방법에 대한 평가가 가장 낮게 나타났다. 여섯째, 다수의 교사는 학교 과학 수업에서 과학기술로 인해 발생할 수 있는 위험에 대해 교육하는 것이 중요하다고 응답하였으며 특히 실천 역량, 정보 활용, 의사 결정 역량 순으로 중요하다고 응답하였고 실천 역량, 정보 활용, 대중매체의 영향 평가 순으로 교육이 시급하다고 응답하였다. 그러나 교사들은 학교 과학 수업에서 위험을 다루게 될 때 예상하는 어려움으로 관련 교육자료의 부족, 위험교육 관련 교수 이론에 대한 이해 부족, 과학 교과 내용 및 성취기준과의 관계 순으로 높게 응답하였다. 일곱째, 위험교육의 10가지 목표별 교육 요구도를 산출한 결과, 위험 특성의 영향 평가, 의사 결정 역량, 실천 역량, 위험평가 방법에 대한 평가가 초등교사가 우선하여 요구하는 항목이었다.

의과대학생의 자기주도학습 성향 연구 : A의대 사례 (A Study on Self Directed Learning Readiness Among Undergraduate Medical Students Focused on the Case of A University College of Medicine)

  • A self directed learning(SDL) has been identified as an important ability for medical graduates. The purpose of this study was 1) to measure the SDLR of medical students, 2) to compare the relationship among the student perceptions of assessment, preference of instructional methods with SDLR. This study was conducted in 2006 at A University College of Medicine. The instrument applied to this study was SDLR. Korean version of Guglielmino's SDLR for Adults. The $SPSSwin^{(R)}$ program was used to analyze the data and statistics such as correlation. F-test, and Chi square test. Firstly. the mean scores of the SDLR of first, second. fourth year were 114.8, 107.9 and 106.2. This results showed a significant relationship among years (p<.001). Secondly the relationship between the student perceptions of assessment and SDLR was insignificant. The SDLR high scores students had a tendency to favorite "Discussion" and "Bedside teaching". This study found out the problems of medical education to enhance self directed learning ability for medical students. Further study is needed so that suitable instructional methods for medical students can be conducted in curriculum.

  • The process of correcting, upgrading, and improving software products after they have been handed over to the consumer is known as software maintenance. Offshore software maintenance outsourcing (OSMO) clients benefit from cost savings, time savings, and improved quality software through OSMO. In most circumstances, the OSMO vendor makes a lot of money but not in all the cases. Especially, when the OSMO project offer is not properly assessed. An efficient outsourcing contract might yield successful outcomes for outsourced projects. But before sending a detailed proposal to bid on the OSMO project the vendor must have to assess the client's project (business offer) requirements. The purpose of this study is to find out common trends within the assessment of a OSMO project. A case study approach along with semi-structured interviews from eight companies concluded ten common practices and several roles. Among these practices, four (code structure, requirements, communication barriers and required infrastructure) were consistent amongst the responses .The findings, limitations and future work are discussed.

세계화:중국학생과 한국학생들의 해외 유학 경험 (Going global: The Study Abroad Experiences of Chinese and Korean Students)

  • 본 연구는 정치 경제적 측면에서 일정궤도에 오르고 영어교육을 중시하는 두 나라의 학생 3명을 대상으로 진행하였다. 본 연구의 참가자들은 한국인 재학생 2명과 중국 유학생 1명이다. 연구의 목적은 이들이 해외에서 경험한 전반적인 언어 학습을 평가하는 것이었다. 본 연구의 참가자들은 비슷한 문화와 언어학습방식을 공유하지만 제2외국어 준비를 위한 접근방식은 서로 달랐으며, 이와 다르게 그들이 해외에서 공부하도록 동기를 부여한 내적 요인들은 동일했다. 그리고 교실 상황(평가), 사회적 환경(환경)및 학습전략도 서로 달랐다. 본 논문의 방법론은 표본 추출 기술을 이용한 전체론적 접근법을 사용하였다. 응답은 사전에 준비된 설문지와 구조화되지 않은 인터뷰에 의해 이루어졌고, 추후에 유도 추론 프로세스에 의해 분석되었다. 세 가지 즉, 책임, 문화, 의사소통의 충돌로 특정하였다. 이번 연구는 참가자들이 모국에서 영어학습에 대한 사전준비를 철저히 하면 할수록 해외에서의 성공에 큰 기여를 한다는 것을 보여 주었다.

성숙도 모델에 따른 국내 중소기업의 스마트제조혁신 준비도 평가 (Evaluation of Smart Manufacturing Innovation Readiness of Domestic SMEs According to Maturity Model)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 중소기업의 인더스트리 4.0의 성숙도, 클러스터링의 지표 요인, 주요 요인이 기업의 자체 평가에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 클러스터링 분석을 수행하였다. 80개의 국내 중소기업을 4가지 범주로 분류하면 프로세스, 기술 및 조직 간에 유의미한 양의 상관관계가 있음을 발견하였다. 또한, 성숙도 모델에 따라 테스트된 80개 기업의 대다수는 아직 미성숙하거나 부분적으로 성숙한 것으로 보이며 인더스트리 4.0과 관련된 혁신 전략의 많은 개선과 재평가가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 싱가포르 스마트 산업 준비 지수는 국내 중소기업에서 자체 평가를 수행하는 데 적합하다는 결론을 도출하였다. 이러한 결론은 실무자와 연구자에게 유용한 성숙도 및 그룹화 지침으로 제공될 수 있다.

Job Competence of College Students in Korea: An Expansion of Core Competence Theory

  • The purpose of this study is to find what competence determines the employment of college students using data from the K-CESA (Korea Collegiate Essential Skills Assessment) of a Korean university during 2009-2014. This test comprises of 6 categories of competence: self-management, global readiness, interpersonal relationship, resource/information/technology handling, communication and comprehensive reasoning. In addition to these competences, we add the comprehensive variable, grade point average. In order to identify the qualities of employment, employment was classified into 3 types: all employment, employment in decent jobs and employment in the top 500 companies. Results are as follows: For all employment and decent jobs, GPA and comprehensive reasoning were the meaningful variables. However in case of the top 500 companies, interpersonal relationship was added. Based on the analysis, this study suggests the fundamental concepts of college students' job competence: job specific competence, job basic competence, and basic competence.

  • BTL business-related systems were developed by the Ministry of Education, Korea Development Institute, Korea Education Development Institute. These systems were effectively support to BTL projects schools that expanding in size. However, compatibility of information is difficult between systems that specific information system developed for the purpose of functional redundancy. In this study, operational readiness, facility management, operations and the assessment phase are divided in the BTL school projects process. And the business functions were analyzed in the related systems. In addition, we are contributed to improve standards and the school BTL business processes to improve the reliability of the process.

Extended Linear Vulnerability Discovery Process

  • Numerous software vulnerabilities have been found in the popular operating systems. And recently, robust linear behaviors in software vulnerability discovery process have been noticeably observed among the many popular systems having multi-versions released. Software users need to estimate how much their software systems are risk enough so that they need to take an action before it is too late. Security vulnerabilities are discovered throughout the life of a software system by both the developers, and normal end-users. So far there have been several vulnerability discovery models are proposed to describe the vulnerability discovery pattern for determining readiness for patch release, optimal resource allocations or evaluating the risk of vulnerability exploitation. Here, we apply a linear vulnerability discovery model into Windows operating systems to see the linear discovery trends currently observed often. The applicability of the observation form the paper show that linear discovery model fits very well with aggregate version rather than each version.

  • This paper analyzes robotic technology developed for live-line electricity distribution and its applicability to domestic environment. In doing so, available robotic systems developed for the live-line work are thoroughly investigated and compared in terms of from robotic functionality to economic feasibility. To assess the technology readiness for domestic live-line robot, the rubber gloves based direct live-line engineering methods have been also analyzed and mapped into robotic technology requisites. The results are expected as a fundamental data to help with solving the safety and economics issues when considering development and introduction of compact live-line robot for complex domestic electricity distribution environment.

Developing Student-Teacher Interaction Through Task-Based Instruction

  • The current study investigates how student-teacher interaction can be developed through task-based teaching in undergraduate students' Saudi teaching and learning context. An experiment was conducted for five weeks on 85 male undergraduate students at a Saudi public university based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The study investigated different types of student-teacher interaction through task-based teaching (speaking activities). The results revealed that the experimental group (43 students) evinced much more enthusiasm, willingness, engagement and readiness in their inclass participation than their peers in the control group (42 students). The student-teacher interaction also helped students to be more responsive to general and specific topics in speaking activities. The study recommends that decision-makers in education make student-teacher interaction part of the student's monthly assessment. It also recommends that more efforts be made to foster the awareness of students, teachers, and parents awareness of the academic and non-academic importance of interaction. One final recommendation of the research is that student-teacher interaction should be more emphasized and integrated into the school curriculum and adopted as a critical teaching strategy.
