Structural members using ultra high strength concrete which usually used with steel fiber is designed with guidelines based on several investigation of SF-RPC(steel fiber reinforced reactive powder concrete). However, there are not clear design method yet. Especially, SF-RPC member should be casted with steam(90 degree delicious) and members with SF-RPC usually used with precast members. Although the most important design parameter is development method between SF-RPC and steel reinforcement(rebar), there are no clear design method in the SF-RPC member design guidelines. There are many controversial problems on safety and economy. Therefore, in order to make design more optimum safe design, in this study, we investigated bond stress between steel rebar and SF-RPC according to test. Test results were compared with previously suggested analysis method. Test was carried out with direct pull out test using variables of compressive strength of concrete, concrete cover and inclusion ratio of steel fiber. According to test results, bond stress between steel rebar and SF-RPC increased with increase of compressive strength of concrete and concrete cover. Increasing rate of bond stress were decrease with increase of compressive strength of SF-RPC and concrete cover significantly. 1% volume fraction inclusion of steel fiber increase the bond stress between steel rebar and SF-RPC with two times but 2% volume fraction cannot affect the bond stress significantly. There are no exact or empirical equations for evaluation of SF-RPC bond stress. In order to make safe bond design of SF-RPC precast members, previously suggested analysis method for bond stress by Tepfers were evaluated. This method have shown good agreement with test results, especially for steel fiber reinforced RPC.
The response of concrete to transient dynamic loading has received extensive attention for both civil and military applications. Accordingly, thoroughly understanding the response and failure modes of concrete subjected to impact or explosive loading is vital to the protection provided by fortifications. Reactive powder concrete (RPC), as developed by Richard and Cheyrezy (1995) in recent years, is a unique mixture that is cured such that it has an ultra-high compressive strength. In this work, the concrete cylinders with different steel fiber volume fractions were subjected to repeated impact loading by a split Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB) device. Experimental results indicate that the ability of repeated impact resistance of ultra-high-strength concrete was markedly superior to that of other specimens. Additionally, the rate of damage was decelerated and the energy absorption of ultra-high-strength concrete improved as the steel fiber volume fraction increased.

In order to develop the ultra high strength concrete over 400Mpa at 28 day, Low-heat portland cement, ferro-silicon, silica-fume and steel fiber were mixed and tested under the special autoclave curing conditions. Considering the influence of Ultra high strength concrete. normal concrete is used as a comparison with low water-cement ratio possible Low-heat portland cement. Additionally, as a substitution of aggregates, we analyzed the compressive strength of Ferro Silicon by making the states of mixed and curing conditions differently. In addition, SEM films testified the development of C-S-H hydrates of Type III & Type IV, and tobermolite, zonolite due to the high temperature, high pressure of autoclave curing. Fineness of aggregate, filler and reactive materials in concrete caused 420Mpa compressive strength at 28day successfully.

The objective of this paper is to investigate and analyze the behaviour of prestressed I section structural members constructed with ultra high perfomance steel fiber reinforced cementitious concrete (SFR-UHPC). This material is known as reactive powder concrete (RPC) mixed with domestic materials and its compressive strength is over 150MP. The parameters of test specimens were span to depth ratio, prestressing force, prestressing wire placement and web width. Most influential parameter to determine the failure mode between shear and flexural action was proved to be shear span ratio. The characteristics of ultra high-strength concrete is basically brittle, but due to the steel fiber reinforcement behaviour of this structure member became ductile after the peak load. As a result of the test, the stress block of compressive zone should be redefined. The proposed analytical calculation of internal force capacity based by plastic analysis gave a good prediction for the shear and flexural strength of specimens. The numerical verification of the finite element model which constitutive law developed for Mode I fracture of fiber reinforced concrete correctly captured the overall behaviour of the specimens tested.

In this study, ordinary Portland cement was used and the air void was minimized by using minute quartz as the filler. In addition, steel fibers were used to mitigate the brittle failure problem associated with high strength concrete. This study is in progress to make an Ultra-high strength powdered concrete (UHSPC) which has compressive strength over 300 MPa. To increase the strength of concrete, we have compared and analyzed the compressive strengths of the concretes with different mix proportions and curing conditions by selecting quartz sand, dolomite, bauxite, ferro silicon which have diameters less than 0.6 mm and can increase the bond strength of the transition zone. Ultra-high strength powdered concrete, which is different from conventional concrete, is highly influenced by the materials in the mix. In the study, the highest compressive strength of the powdered concrete was obtained when it is prepared with ferro silicon, followed in order by Bauxite, Dolomite, and Quartz sand. The amount of ferro silicon, when the highest strength was obtained, was 110%, of the weight of the cement. SEM analysis of the UHSPC showed that significant formation of C-S-H and Tobermorite due to high temperature and pressure curing. Production of Ultrahigh strength powdered concrete which has 28-day compressive strength upto 341MPa has been successfully achieved by the following factors; steel fiber reinforcement, fine particled aggregates, and the filling powder to minimize the void space, and the reactive materials.

In ultra-high strength SFRCC(Steel Fiber Reinforced Cementious Composites), much silica fume are used to improve strength, flowability and durability. Silica fume have merits of filling the voids, enhancement of reheological chracteristics, production of secondary hydrates by pozzolanic reaction in reactive powder concretes. However silica fume has been imported in high-cost in domestic industry, we need to investigate replaceable material in stead of silica fume in a view of economy Therefore, in this paper, in order to investigate replacement of silica fume in ultra-high strength SFRCC we used the granulate blast-furnce slag with finess 4000, 6000, 8000. As a results, we have evaluated that the bigger the finess the more increase compressive strength of ultra-high strength SFRCC using the blast-furnce slag and there was no problem from the viewpoint of flowability and compressive strength when we use blast-furnce $50\%$ with replacement ratio of silica fume

Silica fume has merits of filling the voids, enhancement of reheological chracteristics, prduction of secondary hydrates by pozzolanic reaction in reactive powder concretes. However silica fume has been imported in high-cost in domestic industry, we need to investigate replaceable material in stead of silica fume in a view of economy Therefore, in this paper, in order to investigation replacement of silica fume in ultra-high strength SFRCC we used another mineral admixtures like that fly-ash, blast slag.
This study discussed the influence of mixtures and curing conditions on the development of strength and microstructure of RPC using ternary pozzolanic materials. Through pilot experiment, various RPC was manufactured by adding single or mixed ternary pozzolanic materials such as silica fume, blast furnace slag and fly ash by mass of cement, up to 0~65%, and cured by using 4 types of method which are water and air-dried curing at $20^{\circ}C$, steam and hot-water curing at $90^{\circ}C$. The results show that the use of ternary pozzolanic materials and a suitable curing method are an effective method for improving development of strength and microstructure of RPC. The unit volume of cement was greatly reduced in RPC with ternary pozzolanic materials and unlike hydration reaction in cement, the pozzolanic reaction noticeably contributes to a reduction in hydration heat and dry shrinkage. A considerable improvement was found in the flexural strength of RPC using ternary pozzolanic materials, and then the utilization of a structural member subjected to bending was expected. The X-ray diffractometer (XRD) analysis and Scanning Electronic Microscope (SEM) revealed that the microstructure of RPC was denser by using the ternary pozzolanic materials than the original RPC containing silica fume only.

Over last decade extensive researches have been undertaken on the strength behaviour of Fiber Reinforced Concrete(FRC) structures. But the use of Ultra-High Strength Steel Fiber Cementitious Concrete Composites is in its infancy and there is a few experiments, analysis method and design criteria on the structural elements constructed with this new generation material which compressive strength is over 150 MPa and characteristic behaviour on the failure status is ductile. The objective of this paper is to investigate and analyze the behaviour of reinforced rectangular structural members constructed with ultra high performance cementitious composites (UHPCC). This material is known as reactive powder concrete (RPC) mixed with domestic materials and its compressive strength is over 150MP. The variables of test specimens were shear span ratio, reinforcement ratio and fiber quantity. Even if there were no shear stirrups in test specimens, most influential variable to determine the failure mode between shear and flexural action was proved to be shear span ratio. The characteristics of ultra high-strength concrete is basically brittle, but due to the steel fiber reinforcement behaviour of this structure member became ductile after the peak load. As a result of the test, the stress block of compressive zone could be defined. A new innovative composite material is textile reinforced cementitious composite (TRCC). To achieve high flexural performance researchers suggest polymer modification of TRCC matrices. In this study, nine ready mix repair mortars commonly used in construction industry and the production of TRCC elements were examined. Mechanical properties such as compressive and flexural strength, drying shrinkage were studied. Being a significant durability concern, alkali silica reaction tests were performed according to related standards. Results showed that, some ready repair mortar mixes are potentially reactive due to the alkali silica reaction. Two of the ready mortar mixes labelled as non-shrinkage in their technical data sheets showed the highest shrinkage. In this experiment, researchers designed new matrices. These matrices were fine grained concretes modified with polymer additives; latexes and redispersible powders. Two latexes and six redispersible powder polymers were used in the study. Mechanical properties of fine grained concretes such as compressive and flexural strengths were determined. Results showed that some of the fine grained concretes cast with redispersible powders had higher flexural strength than ready mix repair mortars at 28 days. Matrix composition has to be designed for a suitable consistency for planned production processes of TRCC and mechanical properties for load-carrying capacity.
