측백추출물에 따른 발모 효능에 대한 연구 (Hair Growth Promoting Effect of Thuja orientalis Ethanol Extracts on Hair Loss-induced DBA1J Mice)

  • Thuja orientalis extract (TOS) has been used on the hemostatic roborant, sedatives and stressless in oriental countries. We investigate the inhibitory effects on the productions of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-1beta (IL-1β), IL-6, tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), and nitric oxide (NO) and the hair promotiont of TOS in the macrophage celline RAW264.7 or hair loss-induced DBA1J mice. T08 (50-500 ㎍/㎖) per se had no cytotoxic effect non-stimulated cells, but this extracts concentration-dependently reduced the release of NO, (IL-1β), IL-6, and TNF-α in the stimulate RAW264.7 cells with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Moreover, when applied TOS (500 ㎍/㎖) to DBA 1J/mice, hair growth was promoted remarkably. These data suggest that T08 promotes hair growth on hair loss induced model mice and these properties may contribute to the anti- hair loss activity of the Thuja orientalis.

생선류 섭취양상에 따른 모발중 수은 함량 (Mercury Contents of Human Scalp Hair by the Consumption Pattern in Fish)

  • This paper was conducted to examine the level of total and organic mercury in the scalp hair by the consumption pattern of fish. The scalp hair samples were collected from the occipital part of 101 in coastal, 106 in rural. The total and organic mercury contents of adult scalp hair increased with age up to the forties and slightly decreased in the fifties. (p<0.01) The mercury contents of the persons who were favorite dishes of fish were most high, and who prefer fish were 2 times higher than those of the persons who prefer vegetables and broiled. The contents of total and organic mercury in scalp hair showed a increasing tendency with the intake frequency of raw and cooked fish. (p<0.01) The total and organic mercury contents in the raw fishes were over 2 times higher than those in the boiled fishes.

고등어, 칼치, 명태의 선도변화에 관한 연구 (Study on the freshness change of Pacific Macheral, Hair Tail, and Alaska Pollack by the various storage conditions)

  • The fishes that are mostly used in our homes such as Pacific Mackeral, hair Tail and Alaska Pollack were devided into Freezing group, Refrigerating group and Room temperature group according to storage temperature. TVB-N, TMA-N, TMA-O and pp.H. were measured in natural state, after water washing and 3% NaCl-water washing. The results are as follows: 1. Regardless of the kinds of fishes, TVB-N in room temperature showed that rottenness first appeared after 5~8 hours in raw state, 6~12 hours in water washing, and 8~12 hours in 3% NaCl-water washing. 2. Regardless of freezing and refrigeration, Pacific Mackeral became rotten after 14 days in raw state, 14~17 days in water washing and 17 days in 3% NaCl water washing. Alaska Pollack and Hair Tail showed rottenness after 8 days in raw state, 11 days in water and 3% NaCl water washing. 3. Even in hot summer days, freshness could be preserved for 10 days if fishes were freezed ($-20^{\circ}C$) or refrigerated (4~$8^{\circ}C$) after bowel excluded, washed in NaCl water and enveloped in poly-ethylene bag.

도라지 추출성분의 항균·항산화 및 탈모예방 효과 (Evaluation of Antibacterial, Antioxidant Fractionalities and Hair Loss Prevention Effect of Platycodon grandiflorum)

  • To investigate the effects of antioxidant activities and hair loss prevention of extracts from Platycodon grandiflorum, we've prepared chloroform (CF) and ethylacetate fractions (EA) extracted from P. grandiflorum. In the results of DPPH radical scavenging assay, the two fractions showed dose-dependent antioxidant activities. Furthermore, in the ABTS assay, the two fractions exhibited the inhibitory effect over 90% at 10, 50, 100, 200 mg/mL. To investigate the inflammation inhibitory effect, we used RAW264.7 cells, these extracts were inhibited inflammatory reaction by suppressing the production of nitric oxide (NO) and prostaglandin $E_2$ ($PGE_2$) in dose-dependent manner. In the assay of HaCaT cells' proliferation, the 24 hr treatment of the extracts significantly accelerarted cell proliferation in the range of concentrations used. The two fractions inhibited the proliferation of Malssezia furfur, the bacteria induce the dandruff. Finally, the CF could significantly inhibit the DHT production at 1, 10, 50, $100{\mu}g/mL$, but EA showed the inhibitory effect at the concentration over $50{\mu}g/mL$. The overall results of this study suggest that the chloroform (CF) and ethylacetate fractions (EA) from P. grandiflorum could be a useful raw material for the hair loss prevention products.

어패류와 그 제품 섭취양상에 따른 두발중 총수은 및 유기수은 함량 (Mercury Contents of Scalp Hair by Consumption Pattern of Fishes, Shellfishes and its Products)

  • 어패류 섭취양상에 따른 총수은 및 유기수은의 체내 축적정도를 조사하기 위하여 1991년 6월부터 8월 사이에 경북지방의 해안지역, 도시지역 및 산간지역에서 남자국민학생 115명과 남자 성인 131명, 총 246명의 두발중 총수은 및 유기수은 함량을 수은분석장치 (Model IL 440)를 갖춘 원자흡광분광광도계 (Model IL 551)로 선택적 환원기화법에 의해 분석하였다. 학생군의 경우 생선 및 조개류와 생선통조림 및 어묵류를 선호하는 군의 두발중 총수은(각각 7.728ppm, 6.969ppm) 및 유기수은 함량(각각 6.610ppm, 5.885ppm)이 육류(총수은; 4.822ppm, 유기수은; 3.905ppm)나 야채류(총수은; 3.974ppm, 유기수은; 3.224 ppm)를 선호하는 집단보다 현저히 높았다(각각 p<0.01). 생선통조림을 먹는 방법에 따른 두발중 총수은 및 유기수은 함량은 그대로 먹는 경우가 야채사라다와 섞어서 또는 찌개로 먹는 경우보다 높게 나타났다(p<0.01). 생선통조림, 생선 조리반찬 및 생선회 섭취빈도가 많을 수록 두발중 총수은과 유기수은 함량이 많아 거의 매일 먹는 군이 거의 먹지 않는 군에 비해 2배 이상 높게 나타났으며(p<0.01), 생선을 주로 먹는 방법에 따라서는 회로 먹는 경우가 탕이나 구워서 먹는 경우 보다 현저히 높았다(p<0.01). 성인군의 경우 연령에 따른 두발중 수은 함량은 총수은과 유기수은 함량 모두 40대까지는 연령증가에 따라 증가했으나, 50대 이후는 약간 감소하였다. 직업별로는 어업 및 횟집 종사자가 농부에 비해 2배 이상 높았다. 또한 선호반찬 종류에 따라서는 생선 및 조개류를 선호하는 군이 가장 높았으며, 생선을 먹는 방법에 따른 두발중 수은 함량은 회로 먹는 군이 탕이나 구워서 먹는 군보다 2배 이상 높은 수준을 나타내었다. 생선회, 생선조리반찬 섭취빈도에 따른 두발중 총수은 및 유기수은 함량은 섭취빈도가 증가함에 따라 높아지는 경향을 보였다(각각 p<0.01). 이상의 결과로 보아 두발중 수은 함량은 어패류와 생선통조림의 섭취 빈도가 높을 수록 증가하였으나 중독증상을 나타낼 수 있는 농도에는 크게 못 미쳤다.

양혈음가미방(養血飮加味方) 추출물의 발모효과에 대한 실험적 연구 (The Experimental Studies of YangHyulEum Gami-Bang Extracts on the Hair Growth Effect)

  • Objectives : YangHyulEum Gami-Bang(YHEG) is a hair care extracts which is composed of fourteen plant extracts used in oriental medicine. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of YangHyulEum Gami-Bang(YHEG) on the alopecia and hair growth.Methods & Results : The herbal extracts from YangHyulEum Gami-Bang(YHEG) was tested using in vivo and in vitro test models. 1. The YHEG extracts showed effect on the DNA proliferation of the hair dermal papilla cells measured by [3H]thymidine incorporation. 2. YHEG showed promoting on the expression of growth factors such as IGF-1, KGF-1 and inhibiting on the expression of inhibitory hair growth factor such as TGF-β1, BMP-2 estimated by qPCR. 3. The YHEG extracts showed effect on the activation of β-catenin in the dermal papilla cells. 4. YHEG showed inhibitory effects of NO synthesis at 0.2% concentrations. 5. YHEG showed effects in the expression of IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-6, COX-2 and iNOS gene in the LPS stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. 6. The hair growth index of the YHEG extracts ranked at over 2 when compared to control group which was ranked at 0. 7. The hair follicle number, length and size of the experimental group were remarkably higher than the control group in the histological observation.Conclusions : These results suggest that YangHyulEum Gami-Bang(YHEG) has hair growth promoting activity and it can be used as a potent treatment agent for preventing hair loss and stimulating hair growth for treatment of alopecia.

이용도가 낮은 수산자원의 효소적 가수분해 조건 (Enzymatical Hydrolysis of Low-Usefulness Marine Resources)

  • In present work, the development of processing for various fermented sea foods using low-usefulness marine resources were investigated. The optimum temperatures of autolysis were 35$^{\circ}C$ for hair tail, 45$^{\circ}C$ for gizzard shad, 30$^{\circ}C$ for kangdale, 30$^{\circ}C$ for pen shell and 30$^{\circ}C$ for oyster and when alcalse(Novo Co.) were added, optimum temperatures were 60$^{\circ}C$, 50$^{\circ}C$, 50$^{\circ}C$, 50$^{\circ}C$ and 50$^{\circ}C$, respectively, and protease N, P. (Pacific chem. enzyme mixture 2,000) were 55$^{\circ}C$, 60$^{\circ}C$, 50$^{\circ}C$, 50$^{\circ}C$ and 50$^{\circ}C$, respectively. Especially although exozymes and endozymes reacted at same time, hydrolysis rate of raw materials got to maximum at optimum temperatures of exozymes. The facts showed that exozymes dominated the hydrolysis reached max8imum at pH 9.0, and optimum hydrolysis time of all raw materials were 6 hours. And the optimum concentrations of exozymes were about 3.0% for hair tail, 4.5% for gizzard shad, 3.5% for kangdale, 3.0% for pen shell and 3.0% for oyster, respectively.

도라지 분획물의 항산화 및 탈모예방 효과 (Evaluation of Antioxidant Fractions and Hair Loss Prevention Effects of Platycodon grandiflorum)

  • 도라지의 탈모예방 효과를 검증하기 위해 몇가지 용매를 이용하여 도라지 분획물을 준비하였다. 산화적 스트레스는 두피혈관을 좁게 하여 모근으로의 영양공급을 방해함으로써 탈모를 유발한다. 본 연구에 사용된 분획물인 BF와 WF는 DPPH 라디칼 소거능의 $IC_{50}$값이 각각 16.2 mg/ml와 121.8 mg/ml로, 모두 농도의존적으로 소거능이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 ABTS 라디칼 소거능 실험결과에서도 BF와 WF 처리시 $IC_{50}$값이 각각 4.9 mg/ml와 39.8 mg/ml로 높은 항산화활성을 나타내었다. 또한 인간피부세포인 HaCaT cell 증식 실험결과, 24시간 BF와 WF 처리 시 각각 최대 31%($1{\mu}g/ml$)와 18%($1{\mu}g/ml$)로 HaCaT cell 증식을 촉진시키는 것으로 나타나 추출물이 피부재생효과가 있음을 증명하였다. 탈모의 원인중의 하나인 두피의 염증에 대한 분획물의 효능을 확인하고자, RAW264.7 cell을 이용하여 염증반응 생성물인 NO와 $PGE_2$ 생성정도를 관찰하였다. 그 결과, BF와 WF 각각 최대 88.5%($0.1{\mu}g/ml$)와 88.0%($50{\mu}g/ml$)까지 NO와 $PGE_2$ 생성을 저해하는 것으로 나타났다. 모낭을 구성하는 모유두세포인 HFDPC cell 증식 실험 결과, 4, 48, 72시간 처리 시 모두 HFDPC cell 증식을 농도의존적으로 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 본 연구에 사용된 도라지로부터 추출한 부탄올 분획물과 물 분획물이 탈모예방에 효과적이며, 그중에서도 특히 부탄올 분획물이 탈모예방제품의 유용한 천연재료로써의 가치가 있음을 증명하였다.

효모성분추출물의 탈모치료 효과와 줄기세포활성화제 역할 (HAIR loss treatment effect and stem cell activator role of Yeast Constituent Extract)

  • The objective of this study is to find out the effect of yeast on hair loss treatment and the role of hair follicle stem cell activator, which is important in hair growth. The authors have recently produced a substance, which has no disgusting odor, does not precipitates and does not easily corrupt, to use instead of yeast acquired from raw rice wine(Makgeolli). The substance is named Yeast Constituent Extract(YCE). In this research, the Produced YCE was applied on the hair loss area of 10 Androgenic alopecia patients, twice every day for 6 months, in order to test the effect of hair loss treatment and the role of stem cell activator. As a result, all of the patients showed a significant growth of hair after 3 months of test, and showed much more growing, thickening and strengthening of hair after 6 months. As a result of measuring the number of hair strings in the same scalp region of the patients after 6 months, it is found that the density of hair has increased, indicating that the hair loss treatment was effective. Also the hair follicle stem cell was isolated from the patients and the contents of growth factors (IGF, VEGF, FGF, HGF) derived from hair follicle stem cell were measured with ELISA. As result, the amount is found to be about 10 times greater than before the test. The hair follicle stem cell contains many growth factors that affect growth of hair, so it takes a highly important role in hair loss treatment. The YCE that the authors have produced was found to be effective in increasing the contents of growth factors that are derived from hair follicle stem cell. Thus it can be inferred that the YCE plays a role as a stem cell activator that activates the hair follicle stem cells. In conclusion, the YCE is considered to be highly effective for hair loss treatment and to have a role as a stem cell activator.

바바수오일이 손상된 모발 개선에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Babassu Oil on the Improvement of Damaged Hair)

  • 본 연구는 손상된 모발의 개선 효과를 알기 위해 바바수오일을 첨가한 모질 개선 제형제를 제조 후 손상된 모발에 도포하여 실험 하였다. 실험 원료로 바바수오일 함량을 0 g, 3 g, 6 g, 9 g 으로 다르게 하여 펌 베이스제에 첨가하였다. 제조한 제형제로 8레벨의 탈색한 시료 모발에 도포하여 각 시료와 손상모를 측정하여 비교 분석하였다. 측정방법은 모질 개선 효과를 알기 위해 인장강도, 메틸렌블루를 이용한 흡광도, 광택을 측정하였다. 연구결과의 신뢰성을 위해 통계분석을 하였다. 연구결과로 인장강도 측정결과는 바바수오일을 첨가하여 도포 한 모든 시료에서 손상모보다 인장강도가 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 메틸렌블루를 이용한 흡광도 분석결과 모든 시료에서 손상모보다 흡광도가 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 광택 측정결과는 모든 시료에서 손상모보다 광택이 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 결론은 바바수오일이 손상된 모발에 개선 효과가 있는 것을 알 수 있었다.
