누전차단기의 트립 동작시간 분석을 통한 전류·시간적(積) 개선 (Improvement of Circuit-Time Product through Analysis of Operating Time of Earth Leakage Circuit-Breakers)

  • The earth leakage circuit-breakers installed to protect the human body against electrical shock have conventionally had a sensitivity current of 30 mA and an operating time of 30 ms or less. No reviews are found, however, on the operating time of the current conducting through the human body due to the electrical shock or ground fault. This paper measures the trip-operating time against the earth leakage under the condition of increased current as well as under the condition of rated sensitivity current of the earth leakage circuit-breakers. Further measurement with a prototype model showed an improved operating time of 16 ms or less under the condition of rated sensitivity current. It is expected that development of circuit-breakers with higher safety is possible if the performance of the electronic circuit can be improved.

  • CT saturation may cause protective relays to malfunction. The conventional method to deal with the problem is overdimensioning of the core so that CTs can carry up to 20 times the rated current without exceeding 10 % ratio correction. However, this not only reduces the sensitivity of relays, but also increases the CT core size. This paper presents a technique of estimating the secondary current corresponding to the CT ratio under CT saturation using the magnetization curve. The proposed algorithm can improve the sensitivity of relays to low level faults and minimize the instability of relays for external faults.

  • The conventional method to deal with current transformer (CT) Saturation is over dimensioning of the core so that CTs can carry up to 20 times the rated current without exceeding 10% ratio correction. However, this not only reduces the sensitivity of relays as some errors may still be present in the secondary current when a severe fault occurs, but also increases the CT size. This paper presents an algorithm for compensating the distorted secondary current of iron-cored CTs under CT saturation using the magnetization (flux-current : .lambda.-i) curve and its performance is examined for fault currents encountered on a typical 345[kV] Korean transmission system, under a variety of different system and fault conditions. In addition, the results of hardware implementation of the algorithm using a TMS320C10 digital signal processor are also presented. The proposed algorithm can improve the sensitivity of relays to low level internal faults, maximize the stability of relays for external faults, and reduce the required CT core cross-section significantly.   • 본 논문에서는 복합고조파 전류에 의한 누전차단기의 동작특성에 대해 분석하였다. 정격감도전류 30[mA] 전류형 누전차단기에 대해 복합고조파에 의한 동작특성을 실험하여 고조파에 의한 누전차단기 오동작, 부동작 특성 등을 분석하였다. 실험결과 누전차단기의 동작전류는 복합고조파 전류에 의해 변화하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 충전 시 발생하는 누전차단기 Trip으로 충전 중단에 의한 전기자동차 사용자의 불편함을 방지하기 위한 것이다. 현장 사례연구로 충전기 고장(failure) 유형, 차종별 누설전류 측정실험, 누전차단기 동작 실험 시 여름철 충전기 내부 온도가 60 ℃이상까지 상승하여 누전차단기가 정격 감도 전류의 80%에서 Trip으로 충전 중단됨을 확인하였다. Joule Heating 모델링을 통하여 32A 전류를 초기 시간 t=0 (s)의 기준온도 30℃에서 통전하여 t=3000 (s)경과 후에는 누전차단기 충전부 주위에서 발열이 32.4℃까지 증가함을 시뮬레이션으로 확인하였으며, 통계 검증 tool을 활용하여 온도 및 시간(s) 요인이 발생 열량에 상관관계 0.97로 검증되었다. 본 논문의 연구 실험 결과는 충전기 기구 물 개발 시 충전케이스의 재질, 내부 배선의 배치, 유전 매질에 따른 Joule Heating 시뮬레이션 수행으로 여름철 충전기 내부 온도 상승에 의한 누전차단기 감도 전류 Trip을 방지할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

저전압용 외전형 BLDC 전동기의 소비전류 최소화에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Current Minimization of a Outer-Rotor Type BLDC Motor for Low Voltage Application)

  • This paper presents a numerical optimization technique and switching phase control technique aiming at improvement of efficiency of the low voltage BLDC motor. The optimization technique is performed using the generalized sensitivity technique, response surface method(RSM) and sampling minimization technique. In order to minimize current consumption of the BLDC motor, the switching method of the driving device is optimized using RSM with finite element analysis. The ratings of BLDC motor are 50 W, 24 V, 1200 rpm. As optimizing results, the input current is reduced from 2.78 to 2.51 [A] when the switching phase is shifted by -2.65 [DEG_ELC] at the rated driving speed of 1200 [rpm]. It is confirmed that the proposed method reduces the consuming current of the low voltage BLDC motor through switching phase control method using the numerical optimization method.

속도-토오크 특성개선을 위한 회전자 슬롯 형상 최적화 (Rotor Slot Shape Optimization for the Improvement on Slip-Torque Characteristics)

  • In this paper, the design sensitivity evaluation based on the 2-dimensional finite clement discretization is presented for the voltage source and eddy current problem. And it is applied to the two shape design problems of the rotor slot of 3-phase squirrel cage induction motors. The first is to increase the starting torque while keeping the rated torque fixed. The other is only to increase the torque at the rated speed while keeping the starting torque fixed. As an optimization method, the Gradient Projection method is used to control casily the torques for various speeds of rotor. One fourth of rotor is analyzed by using a semi-periodic boundary condition. Because the shape of rotor slot has much influence on the slip torque characteristic, the 10 design parameters are taken on the interface between rotor core and rotor bar. The initial shape of rotor slot is the trapezoidal typo with rounding corners.

L2 proficiency and effect of auditory source in processing L2 stops

  • The current study investigates whether Korean-speaking adults show differential sensitivities to the sources of auditory stimuli (L1 Korean and L2 English) in utilizing VOT and f0 in the perceptual mode of L2 stops, and how the L2 proficiency interacts with the learners' low-level phonetic sensitivities in L2 perceptual mode. 48 Korean learners of English participated in the perception experiments where they rated the goodness of English /t/ and /d/ using an analogue scale. Two sets of stimuli (English and Korean sources) were prepared by manipulating VOT (6-steps) and f0 (5-steps) values of productions by an English male (L2 source condition) and a Korean male (L1 source condition). Findings showed that, in judging /t/-likeness, the listeners responded differently to the two auditory stimulus conditions by relying on VOT significantly more in English source condition than in Korean source condition. The listeners' English proficiency did not interact with these differential sensitivities to the auditory stimulus source either along the VOT dimension or the f0 dimension. The results of the current study suggest that low-level contextual information of the auditory source can affect the learners in faithfully being in the L2 perceptual mode.

전문간호사 성과지표에 관한 델파이 조사 (A Delphi Survey on Performance Indicators of Korean Advanced Practice Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this survey was to identify a set of performance indicators for Korean APNs (Advanced Practice Nurses). Methods: A convenience sample of 78 APNs working in 2 leading hospitals in south Korea participated in the three-round Delphi survey. In the first round, subjects were asked to propose performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of their practice. They rated the relevancy of each indicator during the second round. In the final round of survey, subjects rated the relevancy of indicators again in the light of second round's overall results and they also were asked to check on current and future use of indicators. Results: After 5 months of three-round Delphi survey, 60 performance indicators were identified. In regard to relevancy, the 10 highly ranked indicators were patient satisfaction, self-care ability, expertise of service, family satisfaction, nurse satisfaction, satisfaction in nursing education, advanced nursing service count, education for patient/ family, education for nurse, and compliance. Advanced nursing service count, education for patient/ family, and education for nurse are currently used as indicators by more than 70% of respondents. Conclusion: Additional research is needed to identify subsets of performance indicators for specialized areas and to determine the validity and sensitivity of indicators.
