확률적인 사용시간하의 이산적 일제교체정책 (Discrete Block Replacement Policies under Random Use Durations)

  • This paper presents and compares two block replacement policies under random use durations. The units are put in service altogether and then idle for some time. The time durations during which units are put in service are random variables. Two block replacement policies, called N-policy and T-policy, are presented. Under N-policy, units are replaced altogether after the Nth use. Under T-policy, units are replaced altogether at the end of the use after cumulative use time T elapses. The failures during use durations are replaced by new ones individually. The cost rate expressions under the policies are derived for exponential use durations. Numerical examples are presented to compare the performances of the two policies.

운행자동차의 공회전 정지에 의한 CO2 저감량 산출 연구 (Estimation of CO2 Reduction by Applying Idling Stop to in-Use Vehicles)

  • The effect of idling stop on $CO_2$ reduction was estimated, especially in the area of in-use vehicles. In order to know the fuel saving for each class of vehicles, a methodology to calculate the fuel saving was used along with a standard test using NIER-07 mode. Idling stop execution rate was estimated by analyzing the driving pattern of the in-use city buses, which shows about 75% at maximum. And this corresponds to about 5.4% reduction of the daily total fuel consumption. Finally, $CO_2$ reduction in the automotive sector was estimated, which concludes that, when idling stop device is used, about 480 thousand and 450 thousand tons of $CO_2$ could be reduced with in-use city buses and taxis, respectively. This amount corresponds to about 1.2% of $CO_2$ reduction in the automotive sector.

A simple culture technique of Rhodobacter azotoformans EBN-7 for public use: application to NH4+-N removal in shrimp aquaculture water

  • Photosynthetic bacteria (PSB) attract considerable interest as useful microorganisms; nevertheless, a generalized culture technique has not been previously reported owing to difficulty in their cultivation. Therefore, a simple culture technique suitable for public use was investigated. Among the PSB tested, the strain Rhodobacter azotoformans EBN-7 was the most suitable for scale-up production because it showed the highest specific growth rate (0.20 h-1) on basal medium. In scale-up cultivation (500 L), R. azotoformans EBN-7 showed 4.50 × 1010 colony-forming units mL-1 (number of viable cells), dry cell weight of 26.8 g/L, and a specific growth rate of 0.15 h-1. Cultivation using this final culture broth (as seed culture) in a 15 L simple reactor was successful, with maintenance of cell activity evident. For use as seed culture, the maximum allowable preservation period of R. azotoformans EBN-7 at 4℃ was 3 months. When R. azotoformans EBN-7 cultivated in a simple technique was applied to shrimp aquaculture water, NH4+-N was reduced from 0.61 mg/L to 0.24 mg/L (by 60.7%) in 4 days in comparison with the control. Thus, this simple culture technique using R. azotoformans EBN-7 has the potential for a good removal efficiency of NH4+-N, making seed culture easier and suitable for public use.

베이지안 확률 모형을 이용한 위험률 함수의 추론 (Hazard Rate Estimation from Bayesian Approach)

  • This paper is intended to compare the hazard rate estimations from Bayesian approach and maximum likelihood estimate(MLE) method. Hazard rate frequently involves unknown parameters and it is common that those parameters are estimated from observed data by using MLE method. Such estimated parameters are appropriate as long as there are sufficient data. Due to various reasons, however, we frequently cannot obtain sufficient data so that the result of MLE method may be unreliable. In order to resolve such a problem we need to rely on the judgement about the unknown parameters. We do this by adopting the Bayesian approach. The first one is to use a predictive distribution and the second one is a method called Bayesian estimate. In addition, in the Bayesian approach, the prior distribution has a critical effect on the result of analysis, so we introduce the method using computerized-simulation to elicit an effective prior distribution. For the simplicity, we use exponential and gamma distributions as a likelihood distribution and its natural conjugate prior distribution, respectively. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the potential benefits of the Bayesian approach.

  • 다양한 고에너지 물질이 포함된 폭발 장치를 정확하게 해석하기 위해서는 고에너지 물질의 다양한 연소 현상과 주변을 둘러싸고 있는 고체물질에 대한 대변형 현상을 정확하게 모사하는 것이 필수적이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 다중물질 각각의 경계면을 level set 함수를 이용하여 정확하게 표현하였으며, 경계면은 ghost fluid 기법을 사용하여 나타내었다. 각각의 물질에 대하여 대변형에 적합한 구성방정식을 사용하였으며, 지배방정식을 고차의 수치해석 기법을 사용하여 해석하였다. 다양한 폭발장치 중 실험적인 데이터를 이용하여 검증이 가능한 rate stick 문제를 해석하였으며, 실험과 유사한 결과를 획득하였다.

스마트폰 과의존 분류 분석을 위한 딥러닝 학습률 모델 (A Learning Rate Model of Deep Learning for Classification Analysis of Problematic Smartphone Use)

  • 본 연구는 한국지능정보사회진흥원에서 제공한 2018년 스마트폰 과의존 실태조사에서 사용된 11개 변수와 스마트폰 과의존과의 관계를 탐색하고, 이를 통해 딥러닝 기반 스마트폰 과의존 분류 분석 모델을 개발하고자 시행되었다. 학습데이터셋은 전국 10,000개 가구내 만 3-69세 스마트폰 이용자 25,465명의 스마트폰 이용 형태 및 개인적 특성에 관한 데이터이다. 딥러닝은 심층신경망(DNN)을 설계하였으며, 은닉층(hidden layer)은 4개층으로 구성하였다. 입력한 데이터는 각각 200개, 150개, 100개, 50개, 2개 노드를 거치면서 최종 출력 정보인 스마트폰 과의존 분류율로 나타나는 모델이다. 이때 스마트폰 과의존 분류률을 높이기 위해 학습률(learning rate)과 같은 하이퍼 파라미터를 활용하여 세부조정하면서 가장 잘 학습하는 값을 찾아내었다. 연구결과, 학습횟수가 300번으로 학습율(learning.rate)이 0.01일때 훈련데이터에서 97.43%, 검증데이터에서 98.06%로 가장 높게 나타났다.

비만환자의 펜터민 복용에 따른 체중과 심박수 변화에 대한 메타분석 (Meta-analysis of Change in Weight and Heart Rate for Phentermine in Obesity)

  • 목적: 식욕억제제인 펜터민의 투여에 따른 체중과 심박수 변화를 출판된 문헌을 토대로 메타분석을 시행하여 평가하고자 한다. 방법: 펜터민 투여군과 위약군의 체중과 심박수 변화를 측정한 무작위배정비교임상시험을 대상으로 PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane library와 5개의 국내 전자데이터베이스 등 모두 8개의 전자데이터베이스로부터 검색전략에 따라 문헌들이 수집되었다. 메타분석에 따른 통합효과크기의 추정은 Mantel-Haenszel법에 의한 고정효과모델이 사용되었으며, 연구 간의 이질성이 존재하는 경우 변량효과모델이 사용되었다. 결과: 메타분석은 12개의 연구, 677명의 대상자에 대해 시행되었다. 펜터민의 투여에 따른 체중변화의 통합효과크기 추정치(SMD)는 -1.37 (95% 신뢰구간: -1.55, -1.19)로 통계적으로 유의하였으며, 출판연도, 국가, 펜터민의 용량, 추적관찰기간에 따른 하위그룹 분석에서 하위그룹 간 이질성은 나타나지 않았다. 펜터민의 투여에 따른 심박수 변화의 통합효과크기 추정치는 0.64 (95% 신뢰구간: 0.35, 0.92)로 통계적으로 유의하였다. 결론: 펜터민의 투여는 위약에 비해 유의하게 체중을 감소시키나, 심박수를 증가시킨다.

도로 설계 지역 구분 (Area Identification for Road Design)

  • PURPOSES : Ambiguous decision on whether rural or urban area for road design can increase the construction cost and restrict the land use of surrounding area. However, administrative classification on rural and urban area is not directly related to road design because of this classification is not based on the engineering viewpoint, so method which can explain the road design context is required. METHODS : Method which enables to identify the area for road design is suggested based on the deceleration expected to be experienced by drivers who use the road section concerned. Deceleration rate corresponding to the area such as rural or urban suggested in Road Design Guideline is used as the criteria to identify the area by comparing this value with the estimated deceleration rate at the road section concerned. Speed profile method is utilized to derive the deceleration rate, and speed estimation way for reflecting both road geometry and intersection is suggested using stopping sight distance concept. RESULTS : The procedure of the method application is suggested, and the design example utilizing the method is provided. CONCLUSIONS : The method is expected to be used to identify the area for road design with engineering viewpoint, and design consistency among the roads with similar driving environment can be made.

Post Infection Physiobiochemical Alteration at Various Intensities of Leaf spot (Myrothecium roridum) in Mulberry

  • Changes in biochemical constituents and physiological alteration were studied in various intensities (1-5%, 6-15%, 16-30%, 31-50% and > 50%) of leaf spot (Myrothecium roridum) on mulberry leaves and compared with healthy leaves. Chlorophyll, total soluble sugar and total protein were decreased (P < 0.01), but total phenol increased due to pathogen infection. Changes in biochemical constituents showed significant correlation with intensity of disease. Chlorophyll ($r^2$= 0.92), and protein (($r^2$= 0.83) possessed negative while phenol (($r^2$= 0.61) possessed positive correlation. Photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, stomatal conductance, moisture content (%) and physiological water use efficiency (pWUE) were decreased, but stomatal resistance increased in the infected leaves. Physiological parameters also possessed significant (P < 0.01) correlation with disease intensity. Photosynthetic rate (($r^2$= 0.96), transpiration rate ($r^2$=0.88), stomatal conductance (($r^2$= = 0.65), physiological water use efficiency (($r^2$= 0.88) and moisture content (r = 0.85) were negatively but stomatal resistance (($r^2$= 0.75) was positively correlated to disease intensities.

Vacuum Characteristic of a Chamber Made of Mild Steel

  • The base pressure and outgassing rate of a mild steel chamber were measured and compared to those of a stainless steel chamber. A combined sputter-ion and non-evaporable getter pump with a nominal pumping speed of 490 l/s generated the base pressure of $2.7{\times}10^{-11}$ mbar in the mild steel chamber and $1.2{\times}10^{-10}$ mbar in the stainless steel chamber. The rate-of-rise measurements show that the mild steel has an extremely low outgassing rate of $2.6{\times}10^{-13}$ mbar $ls^{-1}cm^{-2}$, which is about one-order of magnitude smaller than the outgassing rate of the stainless steels. Vacuum annealing of the mild steel at $850^{\circ}C$ reduced the outgassing rate further to $8.8{\times}10^{-14}$ mbar $ls^{-1}cm^{-2}$, which was comparable to the outgassing rate of a heat treated stainless steel for extreme-high vacuum use.
