기체 상태에서의 오존과 아황산가스의 반응연구 (The Kinetics Study of Ozone with Sulfur Dioxide in the Gas Phase)

  • 기체 상태의 오존(0.5 torr)과 이산화황간의 반응속도를 연구하였다. 이산화황은 7∼22 torr 의 압력범위에서 90∼155$^{\circ}$C의 온도영역에서 반응시켰다. 오존과 이산화황의 반응속도는 이산화탄소와의 반응보다 빨리 진행되었다. 오존과 이산화황의 반응속도식은 -d(O$_3 )/dt = k _0 (SO _2 )(M)(O _3)+2k _1(SO_2 )(O _3$)였다. 이 속도식의 첫 항은 3분자 반응으로 낮은 온도에서 우세하게 진행되었으며, 속도상수 k$_0 =(9.35{\pm}8.6){\times}10^9e^{-(11.05{\pm}2.04)kcal/RT}(M^{-2}s^{-1}$)이다. 속도식의 두번째 항은 2분자 열분해 반응으로부터 유도된 주된 반응으로 속도상수 k$_1=(1.53{\pm}1.5){\times}10^{11}e^{-22.7 kcal/RT}$이다. 전 반응차수는 주로 2차 반응이며 3차 반응과 복합반응으로 진행되었다.

Oxidation Study on the Fabrication of Fe-36Ni Oxide Powder from Its Scrap

  • A study of oxidation kinetic of Fe-36Ni alloy has been investigated using thermogravimetric apparatus (TGA) in an attempt to define the basic mechanism over a range of temperature of 400 to $1000^{\circ}C$ and finally to fabricate its powder. The oxidation rate was increased with increasing temperature and oxidation behavior of the alloy followed a parabolic rate law at elevated temperature. Temperature dependence of the reaction rate was determined with Arrhenius-type equation and activation energy was calculated to be 106.49 kJ/mol. Based on the kinetic data and micro-structure examination, oxidation mechanism was revealed that iron ions and electrons might migrate outward along grain boundaries and oxygen anion diffused inward through a spinel structure, $(Ni,Fe)_3O_4$.

YSZ 박막의 성장속도와 특성에 미치는 전기화학증착 조건의 영향(I) (Influences of Electrochemical Vapor Deposit Conditions Growth Rate and Characteristics of YSZ Thin Films (I))

  • Yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) thin films were prepared by the electrochemical vapor deposition (EVD) method on the porous Al2O3 substrates which were fabricated by different substrate thickness and porosity. Film growth rates decreased with increase on the substrate thickness and porosity and obeyed a parabolic rate law. Activa-tion energy calculated from the parabolic rate onstants was 69.9 kcal/mol. With increase on the deposition time, monoclinic phase was appeared and then disappeared. YSZ penetrated deeply into substrates when the EVD temperature decreased. Electrical conductivity of the films was 0.09 S/cm at 100$0^{\circ}C$ similar to the value of YSZ single crystal.

자원리싸이클링의 현황과 전망 (Current Status for Resources Recycling in Korea)

  • In order to prospect current recycling status in Korea, legislative system and policies relating to recycling, wastes generation and recycling rate were reviewed. Approximately 260,400 ton/day of wastes was generated in 2001. 48,400 ton/day of household waste and 212,000 ton/day of industrial waste. During the last ten years, waste management laws such as waste disposal law, recycling law and environment friendly industry law were prepared. In this article, concerning over waste generation and recycling, recycling law, Extended Producer Responsibility System and the problems and technological developments associated with recycling were summarized.

Finite-Time Convergent Guidance Law Based on Second-Order Sliding Mode Control Theory

  • The complex battlefield environment makes it difficult to intercept maneuvering targets for guided missiles. In this paper, a finite-time convergent (FTC) guidance law based on the second-order sliding mode (SOSM) control theory is proposed to achieve the requirements of stability, accuracy and robustness. More specifically, a second-order sliding mode observer (SMOB) is used to estimate and compensate for the total disturbance of the controlled system, while the target acceleration is extracted from the line-of-sight (LOS) angle measurement. The proposed guidance law can drive the LOS angular rate converge to zero in a finite time, which means that the missile will accurately intercept the target. Numerical simulations with some comparisons are performed to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed guidance law.

국제중재판정의 지연이자에 관한 고찰 (A Study of Delay Interest in International Arbitral Awards)

  • Awarding interest in international arbitration remains one of the most challenging areas for tribunals and parties given the myriad of issues that arise. This article seeks to provide an overview of how international arbitral tribunals grant delay interest. It reviews the various issues that international arbitral tribunals face concerning pre-award and post-award interest, determining the appropriate interest rate, surrounding simple or compound interest, and the complex issue of choice of law. A comparative context is provided by surveying the laws of major jurisdictions from both the common law and civil law and the regulations of leading arbitral institutions. It concludes with a review of the law, jurisprudence, and practice in Korea related to delay interest and how Korean tribunals under the KCAB Domestic and International Rules have determined delay interest in recent years.

OFDM 신호의 PAPR 감소를 위한 효과적인 Clipped Companding 기법 (An Effective Clipped Companding Scheme for PAPR Reduction of OFDM Signals)

  • 본 논문에서는 OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 신호의 PAPR (Peak-to-Average Power Ratio)을 효과적으로 감소시키기 위한 Clipped Companding 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 시스템의 복잡도와 비트오율 (Bit Error Rate; BER) 성능 측면을 모두 고려하기 위해, 기본적으로 Companding 기법을 기반으로 하고 Clipping과 Companding 기법이 순차적으로 결합된 두 단계로 구성된다. 제안된 기법의 첫번째 단계에서는 시스템의 BER 성능에 영향을 미치지 않을 정도의 피크 신호들을 잘라내게 되고, 두번째 단계에서는 Wang이 제안한 ${\mu}-law$ Companding 기법을 사용하여 효과적으로 PAPR을 감소시키게 된다. 모의실험 결과, 제안된 Clipped Companding 기법은 기존의 ${\mu}-law$ Companding 기법에 비해 PAPR을 좀 더 감소시킬 수 있으며 동시에 시스템의 BER 성능은 거의 동일하게 유지시킬 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구에서는, Banach 공간의 값을 갖는 확률요소들의 합 $S_n=\sum_{i=1}^nV-i$ 수렴하는 경우에, Tail 합 $T_n=S-S_{n-1}=\sum_{i=n}^{\infty}V-i$에 대한 대수의 법칙을 고찰하여 $S_n$이 하나의 확률변수 S로 수렴하는 속도를 연구한다. 좀 더 구체적으로 말하자면, 확률변수들의 Tail 합과 확률요소들의 Tail 합에 대한 극한 성질의 유사성을 연구하여, Banach 공간에서 독립인 확률요소들의 Tail 합에 대한 약 대수의 법칙과 하나의 수렴법칙이 동등함을 기술하는 기존의 정리를 다른 대체적인 방법으로 증명한다.

Variable stability system control law development for in-flight simulation of pitch/roll/yaw rate and normal load

  • This paper describes the development of variable stability system (VSS) control laws for the KFA-i to simulate the dynamics of KFA-m aircraft. The KFA-i is a single engine, Class IV aircraft and was selected as an in-flight simulator (IFS) aircraft, whereas the KFA-m is a simulated aircraft that is based on the F-16 aircraft. A 6-DoF math model of KFA-i aircraft was developed, linearized, and separated into longitudinal and lateral motion for VSS control law synthesis. The KFA-i aircraft has five primary control surfaces: two flaperons, two all movable horizontal tails, and one rudder. Flaperons are used for load control, the horizontal tails are used for pitch and roll rate control, and the rudder is used for yaw rate control. The developed VSS control law can simulate four parameters of the KFA-m aircraft simultaneously, such as pitch, roll, yaw rates, and load. The simulation results show that KFA-i follows the responses of KFA-m with high accuracy.

오쿤의 법칙(Okun's law)에 대한 재해석 (Reinterpretation of Okun's law on Korean Economy)

  • 본 연구는 실업률 변화와 성장률 간의 경험적 관계를 나타내는 오쿤의 법칙을 우리나라의 자료를 이용하여 추정하고 그 결과를 새롭게 해석하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 벤치마크 오쿤의 추정계수 ${\beta}$는 방법론에 따라 대략 2~4의 계수 값을 보여주어 선진국의 경우보다 다소 높은 값을 보여주었다. 둘째, 경기변동에 따른 비대칭적인 반응이 관측되기는 하지만 추정방법에 따라 혼재된 결과를 보여주고 있다. 마지막으로 1979~80년, 1997~98년 등의 구조변화를 반영한 오쿤의 추정계수는 벤치마크와 비슷한 값으로 추정되었다.
