  • Recently, According to rapid advancements in railway system and IT have enabled manless operation in urban transit system. Futhermore, development countries have been tried to develop unmaned operation system for reliability, safety, efficiency, and some ones already adopted. In this paper, we define system requirements and functionalities, and establish the system scenarios to handle the various accidents/faults in manless operation environment.

소형궤도 차량 제어를 위한 모의실험 장치 설계 (A Design of a Simulation Apparatus for the Control of the Personal Rapid Transit(PRT) Vehicles)

  • This paper presents a design of a simulation apparatus to evaluate an operational control algorithm for the PRT system. PRT systems require very short headways to increase the line capacity and a very reliable vehicle control algorithm for avoidance of the impact between vehicles. Therefore, it can be said that the development of an reliable operational control algorithm for the PRT systems is much more important than that of the hardware configurations. In this paper an apparatus is proposed which is composed of virtual vehicles, a central control system, a man-machine interface and monitoring device, making it possible for the designed operational control algorithm to be implemented and tested. For the test of the proposed apparatus a test operational control algorithm is designed and the experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed simulation apparatus for test and evaluation of the PRT operational control algorithms.

  • 본 연구는 Labview Simulation Interface Toolkit과 Matlab/Simulink를 조합한 제어 시스템을 매우 짧은 차간 간격을 요구하고, 차량 간의 충돌을 피하기 위해서 매우 정확한 속도제어를 필요로 하는 개인 고속 이동 시스템에 응용하는 것에 대해서 다룬다. 간단한 차량의 운동방정식을 유도하기 위해서 선형모터를 도입한다. 후미 차량에 의해서 추종되어 져야하는 속도 프로파일은 두 차량(선행차량과 후미차량) 간의 상태정보를 기초로 해서 생성된다. 속도 프로파일 추종을 위한 제어 시스템은 Matlab/Simulink 에 의해서 설계된다. 모의시험 결과는 제안된 제어 시스템이 속도 추종 특성을 평가하는데 효과적임을 보인다.

  • 본 연구는 매우 짧은 차간 간격을 요구하면서 차량 간의 충돌을 피하기 위해서 매우 정확한 속도제어를 필요로 하는 개인 고속 이동 시스템의 운행제어 알고리즘의 검증을 위한 검증 시스템의 설계에 대해서 다룬다. 검증시스템은 모의 차량, 중앙제어 시스템, 모의지상설비, 모니터링 장치로 구성된다. 모의차량은 총 4EA의 서버(노트북)로 구성 하며, 중앙(지역)제어시스템은 산업용 Motorola사(社)의 PowerPC기반 프로세서 모듈 및 I/O 보드 장치로 구성한다. 모의지상설비는 National Instruments社의 PXI 산업용 제어기를 사용하여 구현한다. 설계된 검증시스템의 시험을 위해서 Labview Simulation Interface Toolkit 과 Matlab/Simulink 가 결합된 환경하에서 모의시험을 거친 시험용 알고리즘을 이용한다.

  • Railway has been pointed to the efficiency of transportation, rapid transit, and comfortable train ride. the construction of railway near the downtown area and station building are increasing for maximization of utilization and convenience. but the heavy of transportation and rapid transit lead to increase noise and vibration. The noise and vibration of railway may cause the civil appeal, decline in the serviceability and insufficiency of environmental standard. In this study, floating slab vibration and repeated connection of devices to support joints and fatigue stress analysis of punching shear performance review was conducted to evaluate the safety.

  • In recently, our social is entering to service infinite competitive time., So If companys don't give satifactory and an impression customers, they don't exist. The Companies that operate railway are promoted(Seoul metro). The Korail, Seol metropolitan Rapid Transit Corperation, Incheon Rapid Transit Corporation), they are into a stronger competitor. So the service for customer is more inportant to improve the image and administration than before. Especially, station workers who work near the customer are important for cooperation image. But, there are only a few employees to operate the station like ticketing in railway station, There aren't reinforcement the service employees and expanse the utility system. especially, since the transportation card is introduced in 1996, the customers who use the T-Money card are increased. So the change of service system is necessary to provide a substantial service to customer. This paper derives the problems through analysising the operating system of station, and presents the improvement to provide substantial services to customer

  • This study is concerned with the control system design using Labview Simulation Interface Toolkit and Matlab/simulink combined system for an application to the personal rapid transit system which has very short headway, requiring accurate speed control to avoid the impact between the vehicles. A simple equation of motion for a vehicle which is activated on the linear motor is introduced. A speed profile that should be tracked by a rear vehicle is produced based on the state information of the two vehicles(the preceding vehicle and the rear vehicle). The speed profile tracking control system is designed by Matlab/simulink. The simulation results show that the proposed control system is effective to evaluate the speed tracking performance.

  • Guideway Transportation will provide the break-through to solve the traffic problems, which a lot of big cities have over the world. APM (Automated People Mover) system, Guideway Transportation, is classified by PRT, GRT, and MRT according to the capacity of passenger to be carried by its system. In the Application of PRT (Personal Rapid Transit) system, the enact analysis of the traffic problem on the area to be applied should be preceded. PRT system is characterized by Off-Line and Demand Operation. The Network of PRT system depends on the Load Time and Load Pattern. The operation of PRT system will have move efficient way when it is applied to the network with evenly distributed Load Time and Load Pattern.

  • High cost of crude oil imposes a heavy burden on vehicle users. Thus, much efforts are given to the development of alternative energies in advanced countries as well as our country. Among them, fuel cell is emerged as the most promising one for transportation. There is no harmful emission with hydrogen energy of which sources are abundant on the earth. The use of both fuel cell with self-generating system and electromanetic guidance system will be able to make urban track rapid transit operate even in the city areas of very limited infrastructure space with flexibility and on time accessibility. The high efficiency is also expected with clean environment and easy riding for both the old and the handicapped.

  • This paper presents a vehicle control algorithm for Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) system. PRT system is a one-way direction network system which is composed of guideway branches, merging/diverging points. Vehicle control algorithm can be divided into two kinds. Those are merging control algorithm and the other. We emphasized on the merging control algorithm. For that, we first devised a front/virtual front vehicle finding strategies. Properly determined front/virtual front vehicle is the starting point of vehicle control. The objects of merging control are to avoid collision and to pass the merging point fluently. Which implies that jerk constraint and limits of acceleration and deceleration etc. are should be considered. To verify the validation of the vehicle algorithm, we executed simulations and presented test results.
