정체를 고려한 Personal Rapid Transit 배차 및 경로 계획 알고리즘 (A Dispatching and Routing Algorithm for Personal Rapid Transit by Considering Congestion)

  • Personal rapid transit (PRT) is getting attention as a new form of transportation. It is energy efficient and provides the high level of passenger service. In this study, the dynamic PRT dispatching and routing problem is dealt with. Passengers request transportation service on a complex network, and an operating system monitors passenger arrivals and coordinates vehicles in real time. A new online dispatching and routing algorithm is proposed, which minimizes the total travel distance of vehicles and the waiting time of passengers. The algorithm dispatches vehicles by considering multiple vehicles' state and multiple passengers at the same time. In particular, finding the shortest-time path is attempted by taking into account the future congestion on lanes. Discrete-event simulation is employed to validate the performance of the proposed algorithm. The results show the algorithm in this study outperforms others.

  • Personal Rapid Transit (PRT)는 차세대 대중교통 수단으로 에너지 효율적이며 높은 수준의 고객 서비스를 제공한다. 정류장에 동적으로 도착한 고객이 운송 서비스를 요청하면 PRT 시스템은 차량을 배차한다. 본 연구에서는 PRT 시스템을 위한 새로운 온라인 배차 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 제시된 알고리즘은 최근린(nearest neighbor) 배차 규칙을 기반으로 개발되었으며, 이분 매칭(bipartite matching)을 사용하여 다수의 PRT 차량과 고객을 동시에 고려하여 배차를 결정한다. 이 경우 전체 차량 중 배차 대상 차량의 선택 범위가 성능지표에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 차량의 상태를 고려하여 체계적으로 배차 차량을 선택하는 방법을 제시한다. 성능지표로 공차 이동거리와 고객 대기시간을 고려하였으며, 시뮬레이션 기법을 사용하여 배차 선택 범위에 따른 성능지표의 차이를 확인하였다. 그리고 기존의 배차 규칙과 비교하여 본 연구에서 제시하는 방법론이 우수하며 PRT 시스템에 적합한 것을 확인하였다.

소형무인경전철(PRT)궤도 레일이음매의 동적거동 분석 (Evaluation of Dynamic Behavior of Rail Joints on Personal Rapid Transit Track)

  • The objective of this study was to estimate the dynamic behavior of a personal rapid transit(PRT) track system using a rail of rectangular tube section and a rail joint of sliding type, and to compare the results with the normal rail and rail joint of a PRT track system by performing field measurements using actual vehicles running along the service lines. The measured vertical displacement of rail and sleeper, and vertical acceleration of rail for the normal rail and rail joint section were found to be similar, and the rail joint of sliding type satisfied the design specifications of the track impact factor for a conventional railway track. The experimental results showed that the overall dynamic response of the rail joint were found to be similar to or less than that of the normal rail, therefore the rail joint of sliding type for PRT track system was sufficient to ensure a stability and safety of PRT track system.

  • PRT(Personal Rapid Transit) systems requires very short headways to increase the line capacity and a very reliable vehicle control algorithm for avoidance of the impact between vehicles. In this paper a brake curves (or speed patterns) for PRT system that make it possible the effective vehicle control and a collision avoidance algorithm are introduced. For the simulations and the evaluations of the proposed algorithm a combined simulation platform that consists of Labview Simulation Interface Toolkit and Matlab/Simulink and a specific hardware configuration are employed.

소형자동궤도차량 시스템의 그래프 모델 기반 수송능력 추정 (Traffic Capacity Estimate of Personal Rapid Transit System based on Digraph Model)

  • This study proposes a new methodology to estimate the traffic capacity of a personal rapid transit(PRT) system. The proposed method comprises three steps. The first step models the guideway network(GN) of PRT as a digraph, where its node and link represent a station and a one-way guideway link between two stations, respectively. Given local vehicle control strategies, the second step formulates the local traffic capacities through the nodes and links of the GN model. The third step estimates the worst-case local traffic demands based on a shortest-path routing algorithm and an empty vehicle allocation algorithm. By comparing the traffic estimates to the local traffic capacities, we can determine the feasibility of the given GN in traffic capacity.

  • Many structural engineers believed that RC underground structures like subway system might not be seriously damaged during earthquakes, until the Great Hanshin earthquake(a.k.a Kobe earthquake). But there is only one domestic seismic code of rapid transit system that established by Ministry of Construction & Transportation in 2005. Therefore, to investigate of current status on seismic design and evaluation method of rapid transit system is essential to estimate seismic performance of subway structural systems. In this study, comparing domestic codes and seismic evaluation methods with foreign system is performed.

  • Recently, railway has been pointed to the efficiency of transportation, rapid transit, and comfortable train ride. In the case of domestic situation, both rapid transit railway and existing railway have been operated in higher speed and the construction of railway near the city building has been increased as well. Because of the rapid transit system and heavy railway, the noise and vibration of railway has been increased so that the strong standards in terms of environmental matter should be required. Therefore, the solution to avoid environmental matters becomes one of the most important factor in constructing railway. In this study, floating slab system which is one of the solution to avoid noise and vibration in railway has been introduced, and the foreign technology and the trend of this business has been investigated. In addition, the method of conceptual design and construction of floating slab system according to the isolator has been introduced.

  • Metropolitan rapid transit has been used by one of a main transport service for several decades, but there are no monitoring system for electrical equipment condition which can cause enormous economic loss and social problem if fault occurs. Recently, necessity of condition monitoring system for electrical equipment fault came to the fore, we became carrying out a research project for a design of electrical equipment lifetime estimation system for metropolitan rapid transit. In this paper, basic design result of condition monitoring system and specification of transformer partial discharge detection system are presented, which are part of entire lifetime estimation system. Definition of target apparatus and monitoring method determined by analysis of user requirement from each railway company and, each railway company's opinions and requests were collected sufficiently by surveys and discussion.

  • The PRT(Personal Rapid Transit) system has been being researched and examined to efficiently provide high quality services to passengers against the traffic congestion of the capital region. With concept that PRT differentiated from GRT(Group Rapid Transit), PRT generally is a tracked vehicle system operating with unmanned. The embedded software of PRT Automated Control system generally is comprised of the central software, stations software and vehicle software. The controllers of these software interface to each other using its RF communication antennas. In this paper, each embedded software of the PRT system should be applied to an incremental and systematic test approach technique in the design and implementation phase, because the reliability and safety of the PRT system should be assured

  • The personal rapid transit (PRT) system is a small scale transportation system that employs a novel concept to solve the traffic congestion problem in the city area. The PRT system is a driverless on-demand system that a passenger calls a vehicle rather than waits for the vehicle. Therefore, one of the most important issues in the PRT system is how to control the vehicle with the satisfaction of the basic concept of the PRT system. In this paper a computer simulator is introduced to evaluate the vehicle. operational control algorithm of the PRT system. The. computer simulator has the commercial embedded processor boards that operate in the real time operating system and pre-designed vehicle control algorithm is coded into the processor boards. The experimental results present the effectiveness of the proposed evaluation apparatus.
