  • This paper describes an energy efficient train control. In these days, the researchers develop the energy efficient railway technologies, such as energy storage system, energy efficient driving. Mass rapid transit (MRT) railways, which are an important means of public transportation in urban areas, have operational characteristics that include short headways, frequent departures and arrivals. Therefore, when multiple trains are operating in the same power supply system, it is important to synchronize the energy tractions and regenerations. This paper define the group of trains for energy saving according to a power supply. We analyze the current synchronized driving situations and estimate the effect.

Study on Dependence of Friction Characteristics of Sintered Brake Friction Materials on Graphite Shape and Ratio with regard to Speeding up Rapid Transit System (도시철도 고속화에 대비한 금속계 소결마찰재에서의 흑연 형상 및 비율에 따른 마찰특성 연구)

  • This study aims to establish the fundamental basis for the design of materials used in high-speed trains, by using a lab-scale dynamometer to evaluate the characteristic behavior of metallic sintered friction materials in relation to the shape of graphite. The test results clearly demonstrate that when flake graphite and granular graphite are added equivalently, the average coefficient of friction is much lower, and it is less influenced by speed variation; moreover, friction wear is observed to be insignificantly low. Adding flake graphite increases the coefficient of friction, which leads to higher friction wear. In addition, the roughness of the disc surface was equivalent regardless of the shape of the graphite.

  • 차량 자동주행제어시스템에서 차량의 주행중 위치정보는 매우 중요한 요소이다. 이를 위해 GPS를 기반으로 하는 많은 연구가 수행되어 왔다. 하지만PRT(Personal rapid transit) 시스템과 같이 건물내부 또는 터널 등 위성의 가시권을 벗어난 영역에서는 사용성이 크게 제한된다. 본 논문에서는 이런 적용환경을 고려하여 국내에서 개발되고 있는 PRT차량의 주행제어 시스템에서 활용하기 위한 자석검지시스템과 자석검지기술을 제시하였다.

  • 새로운 도시교통 시스템을 개발하기 위하여 시스템의 적용지역 검토 후 운영자, 이용자, 공급자 측면에서의 요구사항 도출과 아울러 이를 토대로 하여 시스템 요구사항을 도출하였다. 이는 기능 및 성능으로 구분할 수 있고 하부시스템별로 기능과 성능을 할당하여 각 하부시스템의 기능과 주요 장치가 갖추어야 할 조건, 용량 등을 정의하였다. 또한 환경요구사항 및 하부 시스템별 기기의 동작 조건등을 정의하여 시스템 개념을 확립하였다.

  • The random pulse width modulation(RPWM) on the noise and vibration abatement in inverter-fed induction motor drive is presented. This paper describes a RPWM technique based on space vector PWM strategy for shaping the switching noise spectrum in such a way it can merge with the natural system noise. To verify the validity of the proposed RPWM scheme, the experiment based on the TMS320 C3l microprocessor was executed. Finally, the simulation and experimental results will be given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed RPWM technique.

  • In this paper, the inductive power collector using electromagnetic Induction for vehicle such as the PRT(Personal Rapid Transit) system is suggested and some ideas for power collector design to improve the power transfer performance are presented. The inductive power of secondary part is related to amount of linked flux to secondary part by the length of air-gap, which is expected by such a system parameter as mutual inductance. This paper will study for the transfer characteristic of power from input to output and equation including mutual inductance.

  • 본 논문에서는 교통 분야의 새로운 미래 성장동력분야 창출로 Global Standard도출하여 세계시장 선점 및 진출하자는 거대한 목표에 따라 IT기반의 네트워크 운행제어 시스템을 바탕으로 차량, 전력, 분기, 선로구축물 등의 하부시스템의 각종방식을 비교 및 검토하여 열차 시스템에 부합되게 선정하는 시스템설계를 수행하였다. 본 소형궤도열차시스템은 전세계적으로 영업운행 중인 노선이 없고, 운영 및 설계개념, 시스템 구성 등도 나라마다 상이하여 시스템의 개념정립을 통한 개발목표 사양(안)을 결정하는데 크게 참고가 될 만한 해외시스템이 많지 않은 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이와 같이 제한된 참고자료와 경량전철시스템 기술개발사업에서 축적된 시스템엔지니어링 기술을 활용하여 첨단성, 친환경성, 경제성을 갖춘 소형궤도열차 시스템의 설계를 수행하였고 시스템을 구성하는 하부시스템을 정의하였다.

  • In this paper, the concept of contactless inductive power transfer system used for the PRT system is suggested and some ideas for Power transformer design to improve the power transfer performance are presented. This system has a large air-gap and demands a large electrical power capability But, low output power is generated due to a loosely coupled characteristic of the large air-gap. Therefore, double layer construction of secondary winding, which was divided in half to increase both output current and output voltage was suggested. In addition, the performance of power transformer alignment condition between the primary power line and the power collector was verified by computer simulation of 2kW model.

  • The PRT can be divided into In-Track and On-Board according to propulsion method. In process of In-Track, vehicles driven by LIMs(Linear Induction Motor) which are installed in Guideway. Central Controller, which control whole machine, must control speed and direction of all vehicles. In this case, as vehicle increases, Central Controller will overload. If Central Controller fails, all vehicle stops. To avoid this problem, processing of Central Controller must be distributed. This paper introduces method of Distributed Routing. Method of Distributed Routing will provide safety and efficiency for PRT System.

  • Recently, there has been growing interest in Gyongin Line demand estimation, because SMRT(Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation) Line 7 will be extended west by 9.8km from Onsu to meet the Gyongin Line at Bupyeong-gu Office. This study was designed to estimate the change of traffic demand in Gyongin Line before and after the completion year 2011, also provide against the economic loss caused by the derived demand from Gyongin Line to SMRT Line 7. In this paper we give preliminary results for the strategic plans for traffic demand estimation and train operating plan in Gyongin Line by analyzing transport performance of Seoul metropolitan subway, and an additional study on the transportation market and the urban development plan is needed for more accurate results.
