Digital Signal Processing for Improvement of Resolution in A-mode (A-mode의 분해능향상을 위한 디지탈 신호처리)

  • In this paper, we describe the digital signal-processing for ultrasonic echo signals for the improvement of range resolution. The problem is to find the magnitude of analytic signals that are consistent with the arrival-rate of energy. It is also baaed upon the fact that the shapes of echo signals do not change, although the ampli- tudes and widths of the echo signals become smaller and wider than those of the transmitted signals. We have made the improvement in range resolution by using the quadrature-low pass filter and the area filter which are made on the basis of the theory discussed above.

An Anomaly Detection Algorithm for Cathode Voltage of Aluminum Electrolytic Cell

  • The cathode voltage of aluminum electrolytic cell is relatively stable under normal conditions and fluctuates greatly when it has an anomaly. In order to detect the abnormal range of cathode voltage, an anomaly detection algorithm based on sliding window was proposed. The algorithm combines the time series segmentation linear representation method and the k-nearest neighbor local anomaly detection algorithm, which is more efficient than the direct detection of the original sequence. The algorithm first segments the cathode voltage time series, then calculates the length, the slope, and the mean of each line segment pattern, and maps them into a set of spatial objects. And then the local anomaly detection algorithm is used to detect abnormal patterns according to the local anomaly factor and the pattern length. The experimental results showed that the algorithm can effectively detect the abnormal range of cathode voltage.

Motion-Blurred Shadows Utilizing a Depth-Time Ranges Shadow Map

  • In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm for rendering motion-blurred shadows utilizing a depth-time ranges shadow map. First, we render a scene from a light source to generate a shadow map. For each pixel in the shadow map, we store a list of depth-time ranges. Each range has two points defining a period where a particular geometry was visible to the light source and two distances from the light. Next, we render the scene from the camera to perform shadow tests. With the depths and times of each range, we can easily sample the shadow map at a particular receiver and time. Our algorithm runs entirely on GPUs and solves various problems encountered by previous approaches.

  • In this paper, the dedicated short range communication(DSRC) system which used as the automatic gate system(AGS) Donga Univ. RRC developed is applied to yard automation. We proposed the communication algorithm of between roadside equipment(RSE) and on-board equipment(OBE). We analyzed transmitted and received information, classification and feature of between OBE and RSE for automation of the container yard and unloading system.

Real-Time Motion Blur Using Triangular Motion Paths

  • This paper introduces a new algorithm that renders motion blur using triangular motion paths. A triangle occupies a set of pixels when moving from a position in the start of a frame to another position in the end of a frame. This is a motion path of a moving triangle. For a given pixel, we use a motion path of each moving triangle to find a range of time that this moving triangle is visible to the camera. Then, we sort visible time ranges in the depth-time dimensions and use bitwise operations to solve the occlusion problem. Thereafter, we compute an average color of each moving triangle based on its visible time range. Finally, we accumulate an average color of each moving triangle in the front-to-back order to produce the final pixel color. Thus, our algorithm performs shading after the visibility test and renders motion blur in real time.

  • In this study, we fabricated the advanced telemetry system that transmitting media use radio frequency(RF) for the middle range measurement of the physiological signals and receiving media use optical for electromagnetic interference problem. The telemetry system within a size of 65$\times$125$\times$45mm consists of three parts: a RF transmitter, a optical receiver and a physiological signal processing CMOS one chip. Advantages of proposed telemetry system is wireless middle range(50m) FM transmission, reduce electromagnetic interference to a minimum which enables a comfortable bed-side telemetry system.

  • Data aggregation is a fundamental problem in wireless sensor networks that has attracted great attention in recent years. On constructing a robust algorithm for minimizing data aggregation delay in wireless sensor networks, we consider limited transmission range sensors and approximate the minimum-delay data aggregation tree which can only be built in networks of unlimited transmission range sensors. The paper proposes an adaptive method that can be applied to maintain the network structure in case of a sensor node fails. The data aggregation tree built by the proposed scheme is therefore self-healing and robust. Intensive simulations are carried out and the results show that the scheme could adapt well to network topology changes compared with other approaches.

  • Nowadays there are lots of researches on robot systems working on danger environments and control led remotely. In this paper, we describe a virtual robot interface system based on Internet In the system, a client can order scanning for range finding, then server detects a 3D profile data from the objects by using robot controlling and a range finder automatically. If one clicks the original position of object and destination on virtual space, the robot moves the object to the new position in real space. The proposed interface system supports advanced virtual 3D interface and makes it possible one to manage the objects remotely more conveniently.

  • 모바일 환경에서 멀티캐스트를 구현하는 방법으로 대표적인 방법으로는 원격가입(MIP-RS)와 양방향 터널링(MIP-BT)이 있으며 이의 단점을 보완한 MoM이 제안되었다. 하지만 터널링 경로가 최적으로부터 멀어지는 현상을 처리하지 못함에 따라 이를 해결하기 위해 터널링 범위에 제한을 가하는 RB MoM이 제안되었다. RB MoM의 경우 터널링 경로의 조절은 가능할 수 있었으나 이동호스트의 이동에 따른 HA 등록 등과 같은 등록메시지의 양은 줄일수는 없었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 RB MoM의 장점인 터널링 경로 조절기능을 살리면서 이동호스트의 이동에 따른 등록메시지를 줄이고 GFA의 터널링 부하를 분산시키기 위해 멀티캐스트 터널링 범위에 제한을 둔 지역등록 기법을 제안하였다.

  • 위치기반 서비스에 관련된 기술 연구가 활발히 진행됨에 따라 다수의 사용자가 위치기반 앱 서비스를 이용하고 있다. 그러나 위치기반 앱 서비스를 이용하는 사용자가 점차 증가함에 따라 사용자의 위치정보가 노출될 확률이 높아지고 있다. 우리는 개인의 위치 정보를 보호하면서도 서버의 작업 부하를 줄일 수 있는 self-Privacy Protection Range (self-PR)을 제안한다. Self-PR은 클라이언트의 조건(ex. 배터리 상태, 모바일 기기의 성능 등)에 따라 보호 영역을 설정할 수 있기 때문에 이상적인 질의처리가 가능하다. 반면에 서버는 클라이언트의 self-PR이 증가할수록 서버는 데이터 탐색 경로가 짧아지기 때문에 작업부하를 줄일 수 있다. 그리고 서버는 클라이언트의 self-PR 확인하고 질의 결과를 전송하기 때문에 정확한 질의 결과를 전송할 수 있다.
