철도시스템에 대한 RAM Case 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the application of RAM Case for Railway System)

  • The importance of reliability and safety, recently, shows a tendency to increases in railway system constructions and projects. At the point of view of safety, especially, the railway authority proposes an establishment of the safety case that is the documented demonstration that products comply with the specific safety requirements in railway industry. In case of reliability activities, there is no systematic documented demonstration in the railway industry. At this circumstance, this study presents the establishment of Reliability, Availability and Maintainability Case for railway system based on the MoD(Ministry of Defence) 00-42. This RAM Case will support that systems and products produced from suppliers or manufacturers meet the specific RAM requirements during the system life cycle(i.e, from design to operation & maintenance) through systematic process and evidences. Also, it is expected that railway system operations will be managed and supported from reliability activities in accordance with RAM Case.

  • Rail network authority have to do the safety ensuring activities including the maintenance of railway facilities, integrated performance verification between the facilities and related lolling stock and safety inspections, etc. When constructing the new lines or upgrading the conventional lines, full system commissioning should be done before the revenue service with railway operator. To develop the optimal full system commissioning model, the status of domestic and foreign railway facilities and railway accidents are analysed and the problems of the safety management are derived. As one of countermeasures for the problems, the procedures and criteria for the full system commissioning are developed.

  • According to Railway Safety Act, Korea Transportation Safety Authority (KOTSA) has been entrusted with 'Integrated Railway Safety Audit (IRSA) and has implemented the safety audit to the Railway operation agencies such as Korea Railway (KORAIL) and the Railway facility management organization such as the Korea Rail Network Authority (KR Network). The target of IRSA is to establish the effective rail safety management system and to raise the safety level of the Railway operation and facility agencies by checking synthetically their performance of safety duties with sincerity according to the Railway Safety Act. Even though newly introduced IRSA is conducted smoothly, it is necessary to study the methodology and criteria of the state's safety audit system. The purpose of this paper is to improve the efficiency of IRSA by the comparative research between IRSA and other similar safety audit system and to establish the consecutive improvement concept of IRSA. Second purpose is to confirm the effectiveness of IRSA by the analysis of the relationship between audit results and the safety level of the rail operation agencies.

철도차량 제동 HILS 시스템의 개선된 윤축속력 구현 (Improved Wheelset Speed Implementation of a Brake HILS System for a Railway Vehicle)

  • The hardware-in-the-loop simulation (HILS) of a railway vehicle is crucial for overcoming the limitation of field tests of a railway vehicle. A brake HILS system for a railway vehicle was previously not able to test the performance of a speed-sensing system of a railway vehicle, since wheelset speeds were generated only by computer simulations. In this paper, we present a novel wheelset speed implementation of a brake HILS system for a railway vehicle. Four wheelset speeds of a brake HILS system for a car of a railway vehicle are implemented using four small-sized servomotors, whereas the speed sensors and pole wheels used in the brake HILS system are the actual ones of the railway vehicle. According to the simulated speeds of four wheelsets in the dynamic equations of motion, four servomotors generate wheel speeds in real time, and then the measured wheelset speeds are fed back to the computer simulation model. Moreover, in this paper, we improve the performance of wheelset speed measurement via the T method instead of the M method presently used in the field. The performances of wheelset speed implementation and speed-sensor operation are demonstrated by experimental works using a HILS system.

  • 최근의 컴퓨터 기술의 발달에 따라 열차제어시스템들이 컴퓨터 소프드웨어에 의존성이 더옥 증가되고 있으며, 이에 따라 이러한 열차제어시스템 소프트웨어의 안전성과 선뢰성에 대한 테스팅이 더욱 증요하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 열차제어시스템 소프트웨어를 위한 Metrics 분석 자동화 도구를 제안하였으며, 또한 구현결과를 제시하였다. S/W Metrics는 철도시스템 소프트웨어관련 국제표준에서 언급되고 있는 Metrics를 대상으로 하였으며, 철도 소프트웨어 소스코드의 Metrics를 자동으로 분석하여 그 결과를 사용자에게 다양한 형태로 제시할 수 있도록 구현하였다. 자동화 도구는 열차제어시스템 소프트웨어 평가단계에서도 활용될 수 있고 또한 소프트웨어 개발단계에서도 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.

  • This paper presents development of the program which calculates the electric quantities such as current, voltage at each element of railway electrification system in static state. The purpose of this program is to estimate the adequacy of railway electrification system through simulations. And it contributes the estimations for optimal railway electrification system by calculating the maximum current and voltage. The simulation program is coded through GUI(Graphic User Interface) technique for user to operate easily.

  • In electric railway system, potential of rail has been risen, for return-current flows through rail. The magnitude of rising voltage is different to railway feed system, ground admittance of rail and the load current. If rising voltage of rail is large, electric shock can be occurred to passengers and maintenance- worker, In this paper, we estimate the rising voltage of rail in high speed railway system and check the safety to human beings.

Development of AC/DC Hybrid Simulation for Operator Training Simulator in Railway System

  • Operator training simulator, within a training environment designed to understand the principles and behavior of the railway system with respect to operator's entries and predefined scenario, can provide a very strong benefit in facilitating operators' handling undesired operations. This simulator consists of computer system and applications, and the purpose of applications is to generate the power and voltage and analyze the AC substation and DC railway, respectively. This paper describes a novel approach to the new techniques for AC/DC hybrid simulation for the operator training simulator in the railway system. We first propose the structure the database of railway system. Then, topology processing and power flow using a linked-list method based on the proposed database, full or decoupled newton-rapshon methods are presented. Finally, the interface between the analysis for AC substation using a newton-rapshon method and the analysis for DC railway system using a time-interval power flow method is described. We have verified and tested the developed algorithm through the extensive testing for the proposed test system. To demonstrate the validity of the developed algorithm, comparative simulations between the proposed algorithm and PSS/E for the test system were conducted.

도시철도와 일반·고속철도의 운영방식에 관한 비교 분석 (A Comparative Analysis on the Operating System of Urban Railway & Conventional·High speed Railway)

  • 일반적으로 도시철도는 단거리를 짧은 운전시격으로 운행하는 특징을 가진 도시내 교통수단으로 요즘의 도시철도는 운영자의 요구에 따라 기관사가 없는 무인운전을 채택하는 추세이다. 이에 비해 일반 고속철도는 장거리 운행을 위하여 고속으로 운행하는 철도를 말한다. 일반 고속철도에는 도시철도와는 다르게 화물열차의 운행이라는 특수한 운행조건이 존재하며, 운영방식이 매우 다른 특성을 보이고 있다. 본 논문에서는 도시철도와 일반 고속철도의 운영방식을 비교하고 무선기반 열차제어시스템을 일반 고속철도에 적용하기 위한 조건을 제시하였다.
