한국형 고속전철용 통합 신호시스템의 설계 및 구축 (Design and Construction of Integrated Signalling System for Next-generation High-Speed Train)

  • The railway signal ing system consists of several vital computerized equipments. Now the project for development of signal ing system for the next-general ion high-speed train is progressed according to the consortium. The developing signal ing system by this project, kTCS(Korean Train Control System), is composed of kTCS-CTC, kTCS-IXL, kTCS-ATC and etc. The KTCS signaling has to be operated as a integrated system by interface between each signaling. To achieve these, communicat ion protocols between each signal ing have to be designed and message codes are defined. In this paper the configuration of integrated kTCS system and designed communication protocol is presented.

ATP시스템의 안전제동거리에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Safety Braking Distance in ATP System)

  • ATP(Automatic Train Protection) system in railroad signalling system is on-board signalling system which is controlled by train control information such as location and speed of trains. Safety is ensured by transmitting the train control information between on-board and wayside device in the ATP system. When an engineer disregards the speed limit on a tachometer, the train is automatically stopped by the on-board device. Recently, the studies of increasing speed of the train have been developed. Eurobalise in ERTMS/ETCS system is used in case that speed of trains is up to 500[km/h]. A study of safety braking distance is needed by increasing the speed of train in the ATP system. Train data and track data are required to calculate the safety braking distance. The train data includes formations of trains, length of trains, service brake and emergency brake etc. Also, the track data includes slope of track, curve of track, length of track, speed limit etc. In this paper, the speed profile is computed by analyzing the train and track data in the ATP system. It is demonstrated by applying to subway line 2 in Seoulmetro through the on-site test.

  • As the subway composed of rolling stock, power supply, signalling, infrastructure is complex system, the optimization through standardization is one of the most effective way to reduce the cost of construction and operation. However, the subway in Korea has been built and operated in different kinds of system. In this paper, review for standardization of urban transit in Korea is executed and presented direction to standardization.

  • The magnified current harmonics usually brings about various problems. That is, the current harmonics makes interference in the adjacent lines of communications and the railway signalling system. Furthermore, in case it flows on the side of power system, not only overheating and vibration at the power capacitors but also wrong operation at the protective devices can occur. Therefore, the exact assessment of the harmonic current flow must be undertaken at design and planning stage for the electric traction systems. From these point of view, this study presents the harmonic analysis and the modelling of traction power feeding system focused on the amplification of harmonic current.

다단계 퍼지 리스크 그래프 모델을 적용한 SIL 할당에 관한 연구 (A Study of SIL Allocation with a Multi-Phase Fuzzy Risk Graph Model)

  • 본 논문에서는 철도 시스템에서 안전무결성수준 평가를 위한 다단계 퍼지 리스크 그래프를 제안한다. 본 모델은 입력변수의 모호함과 주관적 전문가 판단의 단점을 보완하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 다단계 퍼지 리스크 그래프 모델은 2단계로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 첫 번째 퍼지화를 위한 상세 입력 변수가 제안되고 첫 번째 단계에서 퍼지 이론을 적용하여 기존의 리스크 그래프 입력 변수인 심각도, 노출도, 회피도, 요구율을 산정한다. 퍼지 추론 및 역퍼지화 결과 2단계에서 적용할 입력변수가 도출된다. 두 번째 단계에서는 식별된 해당 해저드에 대하여 안전 무결성 수준과 허용 해저드율을 산정하여 안전 요구사항을 수립한다. 또한 다단계 퍼지 리스크 그래프 모델을 검증하기 위해 CENELEC SC 9XA WG A10 보고서에 소개된 건널목 시스템을 대상으로 한 안전성 평가 결과와 비교하여 모델을 검증하였으며, 철도 분야의 초기 개념 설계 단계 안전성 요구사항을 수립 시 적용할 수 있다.

철도 고속화에 따른 단계별 신호시스템 구축방안 연구 (A Study on Establishment of Signaling Systems to Speed up Conventional Railway)

  • Studies suggested an increase in the competitiveness and roles of mainline railways like speed and accessibility improvement, as a fundamental direction of the National Transport Network Plan. At this point, topics presented especially for strengthening the role of human and environment centered transportation: as to the greatly improved speed competitiveness, there are an operational speed above 180km/h ~ 200km/h and traveling within 2 ~ 3 hours among big cities. As to accessibility improvement, there are accessibility to main railway stations within 30 minutes, and the improvement of accessibility, safety, eco-friendliness, amenity etc. As a part of these suggestions, field specific plans were proposed for the establishment of expressed mainline railway network in Korea such as train's, civil structures, trolley lines etc. In this paper we analyzed the conventional lines and systems to figure out whether to change details in terms of H/W of signaling system. Additionally, we reviewed the compatibility or difference of signalling system depending on train's speed. With this result, we deduced the number of virtual blocks specific to the speed of 180km/h, 200km/h and 230km/h, which were showed for the speed improvement considering each variable like blocks, braking distance etc. In this way, we suggested the railway signal system establishment plan considering safety operation.

전자연동장치를 위한 연동데이터 자동 생성 시스템의 개발 (A Development of Auto-lnterlock Relation Generating System for Electronic Interlocking Equipment)

  • An interlocking equipment of railway signalling systems is manufactured with electrical devices and electrical interlocking equipment has been substituted for existing interlock equipment(relay sequential logic type). But interlock conditions are still generated from rail diagram and used to make Interlock Table manually. In order to make EIS(Electrical Interlock System) operate, we should write interlock data which is made from interlock table. But, as the station is larger and more complicated, handwork may becomes a very tediou work and makes more mistakes. Therefore the development of CAD system for Interlocking System is very significant, if CAD can reduce the mistakes from handwork and help the configuring the interlocking system. In this paper, we first arrange some rules which can be used to extract route information automatically from rail diagram and interlocking rules. And then we propose "Search-And-Rollback" algorithm to extract route information and individual interlocking rules. The proposed algorithm is implemented and tested through the signal design process of the Hyundai-Steel private railway to carry melted pig iron from the blast furnace to the steel-making workshop. some cases. It shows that CAD for Interlocking system is very helpful in time saving aspect and system reliability.

  • Most rail system related simulators currently used are designed to simulate only one discipline system. This obviously assumes the other discipline systems are running regularly not being affected by the system being simulated. In this paper a multi discipline simulator is proposed and its design concept is presented. A multi discipline simulator is the simulator in which major subsystems with different technical discipline are simulated simultaneously. The advantage of the simulator is in that it makes it possible to analyze the systems behavior while other discipline system vary. With this we can identify the possible multi-discipline problems and even find their solutions. A proto type simulator has been developed using object oriented programming. Object concept was judged best suitable to model the various multi-discipline self-controlling railway subsystems. It was applied to the target system, which is under development by the Korea Railroad Research Institute. The test results shows it is very useful in designn verification. It could also be a good tool in research and development work to improve the system.

  • Railway system is consisted of resources such as rail-line, signalling system, and railcars. It is necessary to efficiently utilize these limited and expensive resources as much as possible up to given line capacity. So far, we treat the line capacity as the criteria for evaluating investment alternatives or for restricting train frequencies, and this criteria is calculated statical and experimental numerical formula. But, line capacity has special attribute that changes dynamically according to operational conditions, so there is a need of new line capacity estimation system. In this paper, we present systematic line capacity analysis model. The proposed model has three main components; TPS(tain performance simulator), PES(parameter evaluation simulator), LCS(line capacity simulator).
